Ladies keep in mind that if you use products with hyaluronic acid (and especially if multiple products have HA in it) and you live in a dry climate, or air is dry from the winter- the HA will pull moisture from where it can, and if the air is dry it will pull it from your skin. So HA tends to be really drying and is ridiculously over-marketed as a moisturizer. It is not. There is lots of good research out there saying this, google away!

I never have clients change their regimen I simply have them add a light layer of Vaseline brand ( they have a triple purification) to their skin over this moisturizer. It is an incredible occlusive and works every time. I hope this encourages you. 🙌🏻🍑🧡Lisa

I saw my dermatologist yesterday. She told me we are being told what to use by the girl at the MAC counter inside Macys who is not a medical professional or DERMATOLOGIST, She told me to follow a simple acronym CMAE (cleanse/moisturize/active/exfoliate). She told me to use a gentle cleanser like Cerave followed by a gentle moisturizer like Cerave. She told me NOT to waste $$$ on "eye cream" because the moisturizer is gentle enough for the eye area!!! She told me to continue using my Tretinoin (active) as often as my skin can handle and to exfoliate once a week. She told me the skin turns over every 30 days which I NEVER knew!!!

Angie the Alpha skin care lotion is the bomb. I had been using Eucerin intensive repair lotion and thought it was doing pretty good. so I put the alpha lotion, head to head with the Eucerin. I used the alpha on the left side of my body and the Eucerin on the right. After 10 days, I could see such a difference. I’m just using the alpha lotion now. My creepiness is so much better and my skin feels lovely. Thank you so much. Hugs.❤

If you don’t have a pump that fits, Williams Sonoma sells one that will fit the Alpha lotion bottle. It’s 9.95, usually in a jar by the soaps and lotions section. The free pump they give for hand soap or lotion also fits but it’s not long enough, the one the sell is longer, just needs to be trimmed a little bit.

Humidifiers are also important for your mucus membranes and breathing passages!! If you get nosebleeds in winter or suffer from allergies and asthma, esp if you take a drying allergy medicine, you NEED a humidifier to keep from drying out your eyes, nose and throat, which will also help you breathe better! It also helps if you snore, because your mouth is open and losing moisture all night.

I have very dry skin and have been dealing with it for 40 years after taking Accutane in my early 20s. Angie's making some good suggestions here, especially running a vaporizer and using tepid water in the shower. If you have a desk or cube at work, you may be able to run a vaporizer - I have. Also, if you just have to use warmer water, keep it as cool as you can.
Use gentle unscented cleansers - the Cerave product Angie suggested looks good, but the Derma E is actually scented with lemongrass. If your skin is very dry, the Olay Cleanse Gentle Foaming Face Cleanser and the Vanicream facial cleanser are good. I've used them both and can recommend them.
Be aware that most body washes are scented, even ones labeled "fragrance free" or "hypoallergenic" or "unscented." You have to read the ingredients lists thoroughly to be sure products are truly unscented. For your body, try the Kirk's 3 in 1 Nourishing Skin Cleanser in the Fragrance Free version, or Aquaphor or Eucerin Baby body washes.
You can also use these as hand soaps. The only unscented liquid hand soap that I know of is a Seventh Generation product, and it's much more expensive per ounce than the body washes I named above.
Moisturize like crazy with gentle unscented products. Again, be aware that you have to read the ingredients lists thoroughly to be sure products are truly unscented. And layer moisturizers if you need to. I use a ton of Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Fragrance Free hand cream and Vanicream cream on my hands, face, and body. Also Aquaphor ointment around my eyes at night and on my feet, and anywhere where I get a dry patch. Aquaphor is great for healing rough, flaky areas!
Disclaimer: I don't get paid or compensated in any way to recommend products, and I don't receive free products to review.

Also, you are about the only person who shares eye shadow pallets that are for cool skin tones. So many eye shadows have warm tones. Thank you for telling us where we can find the cool eye shadow pallet. I wish there was a small cook eye shadow pallet to take on vacation. Thank you!

This is a really interesting video. Another thing I do is use an in-shower body lotion. I think the one I use is Nivea Cocoa Butter. You use it as your last step in the shower. Then I mix cocoa butter Vaseline with my lotion and apply to damp skin right after showering. For me - and this is largely a cultural thing - daily showers are non-negotiable, and we wash head to toe. So these extra steps really help.

Hi Angie. Sorry that I didn't get a chance to watch you this morning, but Sesame Street overruled you!
My humidifier is attached to the heating unit in my home, and it's definitely helped. Interesting about the oral ceramides. Your dad's Body Pods is an ingenious idea. I can hydrate my skin, but the soles of my feet are as dry as the Sahara, no matter what I use. I do have the Alpha lotion, in addition to a hydrating oil, or body butter.
I think my hands have been awful the last few years between washing them more, and alcohol based hand sanitizer.
The Elf Holy Hydration moisturizer is really good, but it's not enough for nighttime. I use the Pacifica Vegan ceramides barrier cream or the barrier cream and oil from Ole Henriksen. In addition to my Tretinoin.
I found a very inexpensive product for my lips. It's the Lucas Papaw Ointment. On Amazon. It's fabulous!
Thanks for all of the suggestions!
    Enjoy your weekend!💗💗

Great tips & tricks! I'm so glad you added a humidifier to the list. If one can afford it, the best thing to do is add a humidifier to your HVAC system. Your home will thank you too. I'm liking the A Alpha Body Lotion you have. I had to squeeze it out on my vanity top using both hands because the bottle is so hard. I couldn't find a pump the right size so I bought a nice bottle with pump on Amazon. I filled it up, labeled it, and it works great!

Re adding a humidifier to the HVAC, that's only if your crawlspace is determined by experts to be too dry! My house required a DEhumidifier, not a humidifier. Too much moisture in the ductwork and crawlspace causes mold! My crawlspace was also encapsulated to help control the moisture which is now in the acceptable range. It costs thousands to add a dehumidifier, but it's necessary. Just be sure an expert tests the humidity level in the crawlspace. A second opinion is a good idea too!

If I'm not going out after my shower, I don't towel off and use a body oil on my still wet skin instead of a body lotion.

And also purchased the Derma-E for skin relief care~ soo delicious, love the tree oil smells- AND picked up this Babo Botanicals Sheer Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50!!! I have a a few sunscreen products and all but 1 gives that white coverage~ not a fan..nice to have this sheer SPF50 * Now living in mountain/ocean weather, am outside every day walking or hiking right now in this winter cold, I'm seeing my face skin is doing its sun freckling, roseacea thing.. with some of that not quite tan coloring happening.. am thrilled to try this new sheer SPF50* So far I'm feeling super hydrated and sun protected* BTW everything you are doing is working* I would love YOUR JOB* ;->

All very good info! I've just been turned on to Hemp Seed Oil benefits for the face. Though it's an oil, it does not clog pores, and it's anti-inflammatory properties may actually help acne, as well as be beneficial for those with eczema/psoriasis/rosacea, etc. It makes my skin glowy and is a helpful partner to the drying effects of tretinoin. Research it! I'd love to get Angie's take on it!

Hi Angie 😃 Thank you for all of your tips in this video, very helpful. I have recently had a reaction to something that I used (I think I have found the culprit, lol) - underneath my eyes and around my eyes, it was very red (my skin felt like it was burning and anything I put on it my skin would have a stinging feeling). I am out of my Derma E cream (need to purchase), but I have found some relief with my La Roche-Posay Cicaplast baume B5 cream (this seems to be working). I have never had a reaction on my skin with anything - I could apply anything and nothing bothered my skin - this has been very upsetting because I believe it is a new eye cream that I tried (this makes me sad). Enjoy your weekend! 💗💓💗
