Here, my pet peeve is ISN and Eeprom.
ISN because Autel seems inefficient at reading ISN from DME or by obd during Cas3/4/4+ programming.
Everybody seems to agree that VVDI2 is the way to go as far as programming euro cars by obd. Also, Apb112 (hope i am right) clamp wears quickly and have a lot of issues to read the chip.

Golden, this is informative beyond a product video, very well done! I'm considering purchasing an im608 as an addition to my APP, researching what different capabilities it has. Currenlty many 08-12 vws cause me grief and I dont attempt Mercedes. BMWs are hit or miss with the APP. I will watch every video you have

And I don't like it and I must say I'm afraid to make Volvo keys I had a bad experience when I just bought this magnificent IM608 tool the problem was with a 2006 Volvo XC90 I couldn't do anything and I'm afraid today can you help us with these cars? Thanks that's a great video. I wish you would do videos on all keys lost for common vw vehicles, For example jetta year 20xx-20xx golf 20xx-20xx. That would be very helpful. I have a 2014 vw jetta to do akl. I have the im608 and vvdi2 and vag helper. I'm going to give it a shot but I have no idea if I can do it.

@@AutelConsultancy Cool.I was about to ask the same question about the Ultra. Are you going to touch on MS 919 as well? I'm also interested in knowing more about the VCMI. What locksmith level is the Ultra and 919? Please don't forget to mention your prices as well. You explain the Autel products better (for me). I was skeptical about going for the Elite or 908 pro with a possible upgrade or new better models on the horizon. On one of your Autel IM608 videos you mentioned that it does not do programming for BMW and Mercedes Benz. Does that mean it can program the rest of the other models? Are an AutoHex consultant as well? If so, are all the car models supported on AutoHex? They seem to talk more about BMW support only...maybe I need to research more. Thanks in advance for your response.

By far VW keys cause me grief and my stomach turns when I hear the brand come from a customers mouth. I must say, the last one I did was with the im600 and it did it beautifully. I really don't do any Europeans at all because of the complexity. Good to hear from you friend.

when would you use expert or advanced mode?
Hi Curtis...this 'Add Key' method doesn't require the 508/608 to connect to VW servers correct? Does the 'Add Key' method also require you to have an original key present? Or do you only need to 'Turn On' the ignition. Say with an OBD ignition bypass (for kessy systems) or a cut physical key (not programmed). I was just wondering if this is a possible substitute for an All Keys Lost situation where the customer doesn't really care about the lost key not being erased/cleared.

hy again bro other day i was just tiring to Add 1 extra key to a Jetta 19 while the car came with only 1 VVDI smart key it was programed to the vehicle in Dubai as i tried to add another K-D X2 to the same car but my IM508 was asking me to provide the CS code byte.
Great information. I love the step by step instructions. I have a IM608 Pro and a 1998 Mercedes CLK320. Is there a 38 pin, connector under the hood, that will let my Autel IM608 Pro preform Diagnostic. I can not clear many codes from the OBD2 under the Dash. Well Mahalo's and continue the Great work. Hi Mike. I think you can purchase a 38 pin adapter online somewhere. As long as the autel has the software on it , and your able to connect with the adapter , it should be able to diagnose it

The car jobs that they call with is the all keys lost. Adding a key is a different job compared to all keys lost. CS is not always easy to pull.
Is Autel doing any programming when you put the VW cluster in boot mode?
I find it strange that the IM 508 needs to be hooked up to particular cars to display and do a firmware update to the tablet. Why doesn't it show the available firmware update first and do it if I just connect the IM 508 to it's AC charger ? Is the Firmware updating on the Tablet from Autel's Server or is certain information being pulled out of the vehicle and being uploaded to Autel's servers ?
Will the XP400 work with the MK908?
i have 2014 vw jetta 1.8L push start button i bought from the auction wrecked it came with one key but does not run and its showing no keys on the system try to add a key with my Autel im508 xp400pro once the procces almost done on last thing fail learning key any suggusting

Usa Jetta 2013+ with kessy..wich type of immo or dashboard they have? key id is 202AK like tiguan or passat has.But tiguan has NEC64 VDO and without any problem add with working key. But Jetta autodetect fail... Any solutions ?

Just done one of these today for a 2015. The “Add Key” option is no longer there. Only “Key Learning”. It worked ok. Added the original key back in.

I think one has an added accessory than the other. Its really hard to tell because the units online use different names and part numbers. You would need to ask your supplier what the difference is if you want to be sure.

Just as a back up. The PRO version is better so there is real benifit in keeping the old one . Just if your other one gets damaged.

How to program all lost keys vw rabbit 2009 kessy system
Chris please help. I've corrupted 3 cas3 modules . Idk if its new updates or what. Please respond. Issue is when I add key on the newer 2009 and up bmws with cas3+ system it usually requires cas updates. Recently i have done 3 and they module locks up and fails during update erasing the flash. Is there a way to add key without updating the cas or just copying a key in system and cloning it to a fresh new one???? I like the copy 48 megamos feature on the vw best for making keys in my eyes so much faster then adding and less risky. Does the bmw cas3 system have a similar option? Any response is appreciated thank u!
Remove the cas and program the key on bench.
For me the most difficult job is swapping out instrument clusters, my car's (VW Jetta Mk5) instrument cluster died and I'm having a difficulty in getting a new one to work.
Hi I notice you did not mention anything about backing up data before adding key i thought that was suopose to be a good idea at least that is what I heard would like to hear your thoughts on this
Generall speaking its always a good idea but when you do certain vehicles over and over , you kinda get the feeling when its necassary to back up the data, other times you dont have to. Ill do another example later when its manditory to do a back up so you can see

I have a question, what happens if you get a key from a scrapyard which was used on another car, will you need to erase this key first or can you just straight up make it into a dealer key on the car that you are programming?
Good question. Do you get an answer? Maybe it needs to be made a dealer key first, or maybe not since it as precoded already to some VW car .

I bought an IM608 Pro w/ all accessories a few weeks ago and really like it so far. I'm very comfortable doing the Japanese/Domestic vehicles, but am intimidated by European (mainly German) vehicles. Is there any reading material, manuals or PDFs containing information for these vehicles similar to what you have posted ion this video.
Hi Heisenberg. I havent found any thing myself. But im really considering making a simulator type of training thats interactive. Euro is also not my favorite but im learning alot about them and I really curious how the immo systems work.

HI Craig. I would definatly try to contact your seller and see if they can send you a file to reflash the device remotly. If they cant then you will need to send it for repair. If they cant help you , you can contact me a www.auteltech.co.za for a diagnostic tool consultation. Ill have a look at it and if its something that I cant fix remotley Then ill dispatch it to autel for repair. It will take 3 weeks

If you purchase the im508 with the xp400 . You can do the exact same thing in terms of key coding as the im608

Hi Abdul, I would have to look into this further. What I suggest is to contact your supplier and let them know first. Then if you are not able to get it to work you can book a diagnostic tool consultation at www.auteltech.co.za Then ill call you up and investigate the problem further.
why no just clone the chip xp200 can do it? isnt that faster when u have a working key? i mean with a blank 48.
The key Will not be registrer in the immo .so if U lost the key U Will not be able to delete it from the car

Dashty, book the consultation my friend. It will save you alot of money . Otherwise since you dont have a propery tool strategy you are going to invest in tools you dont need.

I tried it on a 2015 Jutta with my IM508 with XP200 and the remote took, but not the key. I tried again and it disabled the only working key. I tried again and somehow got both keys working, but the remote functions didn't work on either despite trying remote programming.I bought an XP400 since and there have been update for VW since, but customer is afraid to come back for a retry.
Hit or miss. Only Recommend trying it with XP200 in a dealer parking lot. LOL🤣

@@dashtyATG No, I haven't other than hooking up my IM508 to a 2017 VW Tiguan for rear caliper service mode and Diagnostic scan after I found my Maxi Sys Elite's battery was run down overnight because I forgot to exit out of a previous vehicle's diagnostics.
I was told the XP200 should be able to do 80% of the vehicles in the USA (including European) where the programming is done via OBD, and figured that is primarily because the XP200 lacks the Mercedes IR slot. Other than the VW software or VCI firmware updating, I don't know what my XP400 offers in it's key reader specifically for VW that the XP200 lacks internally in key reader if it is a vehicle that is done via OBD.
Autel recently introduced a new XP400 Plus that now lacks the original XP400 IC chip reader and calls it the XP400 Plus. Wouldn't removing something make it a Minus and not a Plus ? The XP400 Plus is supposed support read and write of more types of key chips than the original XP 400, but I bought a clearance priced original XP400 for $350 when they started to stock the newer XP400 Plus. I'm not sure and could be mistaken, but I think the IC chip reader feature was removed because it was no longer supported because it was something that Car Gypers could potentially use to change odometers of vehicles with.

The hard part I've faced was with akl 2019 jetta just couldn't manage to turn on the ignition i had IM608 and Xp400 plus.
I've even followed the Autel instructions but still couldn't do it.

Its really hard to diagnose a problem ( for me) with out logging in the tablet to record the session and trouble shoot. If your supplier cant log in and assist your best solution is to submit a data logging and see if they can responde to identify what the problem could be
@@AutelConsultancy I've honestly uploaded on the data log but it's absolutely useless.
1st By the time they get back to you customer will die.
2nd it's no thing like someone could directly help you via a TeamViewer or so on.
if i can find out %100 that your guy's can be available 24/7 to help me when I'm stoked,
that way i really don't mind to pay some monthly fees.
@@dashtyATG I Dashty, That is frustrating. The only thing I can suggest is the next time you decide to purchase purchase an autel product, rather have me sell it to you. This way I can be your point of contact when you are stuck in these type of sitautions. Also i am really close with the engineer who developed the software so if its anything I cant answer , he would be able to . I wish I could have consulted you before to avoid this sitation as its very diffiicult to get results if your doing things alone no support

You can try dong an all keys lost to register both keys again.
Would I have to be able to have the ignition to turn on? Right now it doesn't do anything
@@unclejojo1978 Hello, You need to turn on your hazard lights. It will "wake up" the ignition so you can do the procedure.

The battery probably was depleted. Keep it on charge for over night and let me know the result

Hey over here in UK VW cars dont work on im608 pro. Been told VW have stopped Autel from hacking their servers.No way for Autel to do the key coding anymore. I have personally tried 5 cars and found it fail on all of them. Their autel vehicle coverage site says the tools works on a certain vehicle but then I try and its a lie. Are you experiencing the same problems in US...?
Same the thing is trash on vag unless it’s a 2003 Jetta.

It will work with both. Even the IM508
neither the xp200 or xp400 key programmers are supported by Maxi Sys Pro
@@1fnjoreinhofer940 No, The Maxisys Pro does not have the immobilizer software to support the xp400. Thats why its not compadible
