I rescued a rabbit, that turned out to have an inoperable brain tumor. The Vet said I could put him to sleep, or just give him the best life I could while he had it. I chose option 2. He lived his life in safety, fun, and love. At about 4 years, he became completely blind, but was still affectionate, and playful. So we turned the laundry room into his safe space, and he was perfectly happy to stay there. Safe, comfortable, and content. After 7 years, he went to his final sleep. Although his passing was painful, I wouldn't trade those years for anything. He blessed us with his best life.❤

I had a similar situation with a cat who was about 7, lost all control of her legs and couldn't walk. Off balance for days. Testing did nothing for us, either. Tiger was the best big bro, and Tintin had a wonderful life. 🐯 🐿️🌈 As painful as it was for any of us watching through the screens, I can't IMAGINE what you've gone through. I hope you are doing well; having to endure all the dark parts and loss along the way is never easy. I’ve taken in so many animals growing up & now. Some by as t needed a place to stay a while & some stayed for their whole life because they knew they could. It’s a beautiful thing. I wish more people would help & not have the animal rights activists after people who really care. I get the other side. 11 years ohhhh my. I have had ferrets, gerbils and even a chipmunk I took care of for 2 years. They sit in your hand or in your pocket but what they really get into is your heart. 11 years that’s just amazing and show how well to took care of Tintin.
This video came up in my feed yesterday. I have now seen every year. Your family has been through so much and yet your videos are so heart warming. What a life with sweet TinTin he was clever and wise and the beautiful garden he made. Animals give so much and know more by instinct than we humans do. Your videos should be shown to all so we can learn the beauty of life even when it gets rough. TinTin sitting on Tiger reaching out for a flower: what a picture of remembering, being safe and being present in "the now".
I only discovered your channel yesterday and enjoyed the life of Tintin and your cats. And it was very hard to find out that Tintin had already died. I made a bed for it and was totally committed to hand raising it, but I wasn’t able to save it. And I was devastated! I can’t imagine having a relationship with one for 11 years. What a blessing. Don’t listen to the nay sayers about the harness. I understand you probably put it on Tintin as a way to protect him, but a lot of people wouldn’t understand. So sorry for the loss of Marble. I know it’s probably devastating to think that you would be able to replicate this unique experience. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I also lost my last pet, Minnie, a mini schnauzer. I love dear TinTin, as well as the dear kitties. Thank you for giving them all such a wonderful home. I am so sorry for your losses. We had our precious Sniffy (an Eastern Gray Squirrel) in NJ in the U.S. from 1970 to 1984-a very similar scenario: he was still drinking milk for about 2 or 3 wks after we found him, then started to eat nuts and seeds and fruit, so i think he was probably about the same age. I grew up with him, from the age of 8 to the age of 22. I still miss him after all these years. So many of the scenes in your videos (i watched Year 1 & Year 11) reminded me exactly of things Sniffy would do. 🌈🐿🌈🐈🌈🐈🌈🐈🌈🐿🌈

Oh, I'm gushing tears right now. I've been absolutely mesmerized by this series of videos, I have a special place in my heart for squirrels, you can see their intelligence and how they interact. I usually feed birds in winter with bird feeders and sometimes some birds are shy or driven away by the bigger and tougher birds so I usually leave something for the more shy birds at another location more easily accessible and allowing for a quicker retreat in case they are chased. As there were nuts and sunflower seeds a squirrel started feeding there too. Just for the squirrel I used to leave some extra nuts like walnuts and hazelnuts and this squirrel learned my schedule, I usually get out a little before 8 in the morning to take the dog for a walk and do the bird feeding a the same time. If I were a little bit late the squirrel would be standing on the tree stump, looking very irritated and thumping with one paw, almost saying "it's about time"... So every morning he greeted me by looking at me happily feeding on the nuts or scalding me if I'm late. I was happy to see the relationship between you and Tintin and your cats and as anyone who has lost a beloved family member, because that is what pets are, I feel your loss. Thank you for sharing both your joy and grief, it has been a privilege. We all know that Tintin has had the best of life, safe and protected by his cat siblings and all through his life a loving father. ♥♥♥♥♥♥

I am actually ashamed to admit how often and how hard I cried watching Tintin. My family doesn't know because I was raised at a time when big boys don't cry. So I was all alone when it happened. But I form incredible bonds with animals and his death came so suddenly to me. I had just discovered this channel and went back 8 years to the first videos. Then I found out how recently he died. Yes, he lived a wonderful life, and he didn't suffer. I know that intellectually. But God help me, I miss the little guy terribly and I will never forget him. I have never ever gotten so attached to an animal that wasn't directly in my life. He was just a miraculous little guy that gave everyone joy.
I have a northern tree shrew called Bushy she looks like a squirrel but is not related apparently . I rescued Bushy as a baby from the road when she was a baby she runs around insde and goes outside whenever she wants she dissappears sometimes for a day or two but always comes back and sleeps inside in her own bed . I can confirm how attacted to these animals one can become they are so small but can teach us so much about life and love, we found a young male baby recently I am trying to save him now and hopefully give Bushy a husband but he looks like he may die if he lives I will call him tintin .

Tintin could not bear the pain of loosing miss marble.....so it's decided to leave . It lost friends one after another....such a small soul couldn't take any more......I will miss you Tintin ....

Even thinking about the extent of your sorrow is upsetting. In honor of dear Tin Tin and my own squirrel, who recently passed away simultaneously with Tin Tin, and also in appreciation of your efforts for animals, as a psychologist who is also a lawyer, I have decided to write a scientific article on the behavior of squirrels and to critique the illegality of keeping them. Of course, I will also mention the name of dear Tin Tin.
It makes me angry that so many places it is illegal to rehab & keep, if necessary, wildlife unless you are an official rehabber. Where I live you must either have a degree in biology or work many years under a veterinarian plus other criteria. My husband & I have many years of experience with all different domestic animals. And my husband rehabbed wildlife as a kid many times before the laws became so strict. It is ridiculous to let so many animals die with so many capable people who are willing to do the work. Even a 6 week course on weekends by wildlife professionals would be ok. Would some animals be lost until people became more experienced, yes. But think of all the love just one little squirrel gave & received.

Tintin crossed the rainbow bridge, to meet Mama Coco, Tiger and Ms Marble. I cried so much and I guess Tintin couldn't take the sadness as Miss Marble had gone. It reminded me with my 2 fur babies, as they grew together , when one crossed the rainbow bridge, the other couldn't take it well. She followed her sister,too. My 2 dogs both had gone in such a not long distance. It's been 4 years and I still cry to remember them. I can imagine the sadness that you and your whole family feel. Tintin wanted to be with Coco, Tiger and Ms Marble 😭😭😭

I wonder sometimes how animals process time and emotions... perhaps it's a never ending 'now', a state where they exist entirely in the present moment. Without regret for the past and with no worries for the future. If so, I can imagine Tintin, Tiger and Miss Marble being almost entirely at peace within your care- as happy as any being could hope to be. Thank you for all the time and effort put into these posts. Given the grief and sorrow displayed by Tintin, both for Tiger, Nicole and Marble, they have the exact same range of emotions and the same sense of time.
I think Tiger and Miss Marble came to help Tintin cross over. What a wonderful gift of love animals are. But I think God sends them to earth to teach us pure love and this world has so much darkness they cannot exist here too long. Just long enough to show us some unconditional love.🐈⬛🐈🦫

Tintin might have had a very rough start to his life but he got to live a long and very fulfilled life, free from having to worry about predators or cold wonders. He got to feel security and love always surrounding him and enjoy his freedom. You did a phenomenal job raising him and his feline family, Decan. Your daily uploads would always brighten up my day. Just watching Tintin exploring and go on about his daily life always had such a positive impact every time I watched him. When you take in an animal and care for it, you know from the start that the day will come when you have to say goodbye again and yet you cannot prepare for it and it is always a catastrophe for the individual. You must have fallen into a deep hole even because Marble has left you too. Words can't help you in your grief now, and perhaps you think, no more pets, never again! But time and other squirrels or cats that you can continue to care for, will do the job, believe me. And it must be a relief for you that Tintin died by himself and you didn't have to let him put to sleep! And that was a beautifull coffin you made for him!🙏🙏🙏

Hi Decan, i only discovered your channel recently & was captivated by little Tintin & his kitty guardians. I've been in tears watching as their precious lives come to the end 😢 I had cats for 33 years & the loss of each one is heart-breaking 💔 it's like a piece of you goes with them. Within 3 months of one going his "brother" went, he lost his enthusiasm for life. I worked at a cat rescue but still couldn't handle the emotions involved. I am so sorry for your losses, all of them ❤ 🐿🐈⬛🐈 They all had the time of their lives with you. Thank you so much for loving & caring for them & giving them such wonderful & happy lives, they know they were secure with you, happy & content & they know you loved them ❤

I’m 34 year old guy and watching these videos tear me up. Because watching videos like these you realise that life is too short, it passes in a blink of an eye and we are all here just along for the ride. I rescued a rabbit, that turned out to have an inoperable brain tumor.
The Vet said I could put him to sleep, or just give him the best life I could while he had it.
I chose option 2.
He lived his life in safety, fun, and love.
At about 4 years, he became completely blind, but was still affectionate, and playful.
So we turned the laundry room into his safe space, and he was perfectly happy to stay there. Safe, comfortable, and content.
After 7 years, he went to his final sleep.
Although his passing was painful, I wouldn't trade those years for anything.
He blessed us with his best life.❤

I've been on quite an emotional journey watching your videos! It stuns me that Miss Marbles was only about 5! I had a similar situation with a cat who was about 7, lost all control of her legs and couldn't walk. Off balance for days. Testing did nothing for us, either. Tiger was the best big bro, and Tintin had a wonderful life. 🐯 🐿️🌈 As painful as it was for any of us watching through the screens, I can't IMAGINE what you've gone through. I hope you are doing well; having to endure all the dark parts and loss along the way is never easy. I wish you all of the positive vibes and happiness, you absolutely deserve it!! 🐿️🐈⬛

11 years ohhhh my. I have had ferrets, gerbils and even a chipmunk I took care of for 2 years. They sit in your hand or in your pocket but what they really get into is your heart. 11 years that’s just amazing and show how well to took care of Tintin.

This video came up in my feed yesterday. I have now seen every year. Your family has been through so much and yet your videos are so heart warming. What a life with sweet TinTin he was clever and wise and the beautiful garden he made. Animals give so much and know more by instinct than we humans do. Your videos should be shown to all so we can learn the beauty of life even when it gets rough. TinTin sitting on Tiger reaching out for a flower: what a picture of remembering, being safe and being present in "the now".
I only discovered your channel yesterday and enjoyed the life of Tintin and your cats. And it was very hard to find out that Tintin had already died. I made a bed for it and was totally committed to hand raising it, but I wasn’t able to save it. And I was devastated! I can’t imagine having a relationship with one for 11 years. What a blessing. Don’t listen to the nay sayers about the harness. I understand you probably put it on Tintin as a way to protect him, but a lot of people wouldn’t understand. So sorry for the loss of Marble. I know it’s probably devastating to think that you would be able to replicate this unique experience. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I also lost my last pet, Minnie, a mini schnauzer. I love dear TinTin, as well as the dear kitties. Thank you for giving them all such a wonderful home. I am so sorry for your losses. We had our precious Sniffy (an Eastern Gray Squirrel) in NJ in the U.S. from 1970 to 1984-a very similar scenario: he was still drinking milk for about 2 or 3 wks after we found him, then started to eat nuts and seeds and fruit, so i think he was probably about the same age. I grew up with him, from the age of 8 to the age of 22. I still miss him after all these years. So many of the scenes in your videos (i watched Year 1 & Year 11) reminded me exactly of things Sniffy would do. 🌈🐿🌈🐈🌈🐈🌈🐈🌈🐿🌈

Oh, I'm gushing tears right now. I've been absolutely mesmerized by this series of videos, I have a special place in my heart for squirrels, you can see their intelligence and how they interact.
I usually feed birds in winter with bird feeders and sometimes some birds are shy or driven away by the bigger and tougher birds so I usually leave something for the more shy birds at another location more easily accessible and allowing for a quicker retreat in case they are chased. As there were nuts and sunflower seeds a squirrel started feeding there too.
Just for the squirrel I used to leave some extra nuts like walnuts and hazelnuts and this squirrel learned my schedule, I usually get out a little before 8 in the morning to take the dog for a walk and do the bird feeding a the same time.
If I were a little bit late the squirrel would be standing on the tree stump, looking very irritated and thumping with one paw, almost saying "it's about time"...
So every morning he greeted me by looking at me happily feeding on the nuts or scalding me if I'm late.
I was happy to see the relationship between you and Tintin and your cats and as anyone who has lost a beloved family member, because that is what pets are, I feel your loss.
Thank you for sharing both your joy and grief, it has been a privilege.

I am actually ashamed to admit how often and how hard I cried watching Tintin. My family doesn't know because I was raised at a time when big boys don't cry. So I was all alone when it happened. But I form incredible bonds with animals and his death came so suddenly to me. I had just discovered this channel and went back 8 years to the first videos. Then I found out how recently he died. Yes, he lived a wonderful life, and he didn't suffer. I know that intellectually. But God help me, I miss the little guy terribly and I will never forget him. I have never ever gotten so attached to an animal that wasn't directly in my life. He was just a miraculous little guy that gave everyone joy.
I have a northern tree shrew called Bushy she looks like a squirrel but is not related apparently . I rescued Bushy as a baby from the road when she was a baby she runs around insde and goes outside whenever she wants she dissappears sometimes for a day or two but always comes back and sleeps inside in her own bed . I can confirm how attacted to these animals one can become they are so small but can teach us so much about life and love, we found a young male baby recently I am trying to save him now and hopefully give Bushy a husband but he looks like he may die if he lives I will call him tintin .

Tintin could not bear the pain of loosing miss marble.....so it's decided to leave . It lost friends one after another....such a small soul couldn't take any more......I will miss you Tintin ....
There are hidden meanings in numbers, and the fact Tintin went over exactly 20 hours after Miss Marble. Means: Angel 20: 'It's better to walk together in the dark, than alone in the light' I'm sure Miss Marble needed Tintin to guide her to the light.

It makes me angry that so many places it is illegal to rehab & keep, if necessary, wildlife unless you are an official rehabber. Where I live you must either have a degree in biology or work many years under a veterinarian plus other criteria. My husband & I have many years of experience with all different domestic animals. And my husband rehabbed wildlife as a kid many times before the laws became so strict. It is ridiculous to let so many animals die with so many capable people who are willing to do the work. Even a 6 week course on weekends by wildlife professionals would be ok. Would some animals be lost until people became more experienced, yes. But think of all the love just one little squirrel gave & received.

Tintin crossed the rainbow bridge, to meet Mama Coco, Tiger and Ms Marble. I cried so much and I guess Tintin couldn't take the sadness as Miss Marble had gone. It reminded me with my 2 fur babies, as they grew together , when one crossed the rainbow bridge, the other couldn't take it well. She followed her sister,too. My 2 dogs both had gone in such a not long distance. It's been 4 years and I still cry to remember them.

When you take in an animal and care for it, you know from the start that the day will come when you have to say goodbye again and yet you cannot prepare for it and it is always a catastrophe for the individual. You must have fallen into a deep hole even because Marble has left you too. Words can't help you in your grief now, and perhaps you think, no more pets, never again! But time and other squirrels or cats that you can continue to care for, will do the job, believe me. And it must be a relief for you that Tintin died by himself and you didn't have to let him put to sleep! And that was a beautifull coffin you made for him!🙏🙏🙏

When I first saw your story I was so touched I wanted to write a children's story on tinin and his wonderful friends.
With tears of joy and sadness I weep with you but know they both had the fullest life of freedom and happiness.

The bond and love we can share with these small, fur covered creatures is Divine. You kept your heart wide open, and were blessed. The grief and absence can feel "not worth it" early on, but soon you see, love always breaks our hearts. And thank God for it.

I just watched your story. I watched my two dogs waste away from cancer. My cat of 12 years also went blind and deaf but he lived a good life. I watched your story and cried. I’m sorry for your loss!

Hi Decan, i only discovered your channel recently & was captivated by little Tintin & his kitty guardians. I've been in tears watching as their precious lives come to the end 😢 I had cats for 33 years & the loss of each one is heart-breaking 💔 it's like a piece of you goes with them. Within 3 months of one going his "brother" went, he lost his enthusiasm for life. I worked at a cat rescue but still couldn't handle the emotions involved. I am so sorry for your losses, all of them ❤ 🐿🐈⬛🐈 They all had the time of their lives with you. Thank you so much for loving & caring for them & giving them such wonderful & happy lives, they know they were secure with you, happy & content & they know you loved them ❤

I just watched your first year and then saw this and just 😥 what a beautiful soul you are and your family to have loved him better and stood by him through his little wonderful life. I’m 34 year old guy and watching these videos tear me up. Because watching videos like these you realise that life is too short, it passes in a blink of an eye and we are all here just along for the ride. We should all make each others lives as happy as possible. ❤😢
