Honkai Star rail. Huh. Never played. For me it looks like Raid Shadow Legends, but with some story and cutscenes. But maybe I'll give it a chance with your link.
It looks a little bit weird how you criticize microtransaction in many pc free to play game while also promoting a free to play mobile gacha game which considered as gambling in many country lol. Still love your video though
Or hell, it could’ve even been added as a campaign reward, as it stands all the campaign has are coatings that you get from random boxes, what happened to rewards for beating the campaign on various difficulties or finding all of the skulls?
Or just as a reward for finishing the campaign on legendary or LASO. It’s dumb how there is ZERO rewards for completing LASO or legendary beside an achievement…
I can't disagree, but they made so much selling this thing if u look at the sales on steam. It's a really nice armor set but for $22 I wish it would atleast give you the pieces separately so I could mix and match
You make the argument that if we boycott the microtransactions in Halo that they will just terminate the Halo franchise, thus, we should spend some money in the game to prevent that. I say fuck that. As a D&D player, there is a great saying about being at a table with bad players or a bad DM, "No D&D is better than bad D&D". So I say this, No Halo is better than Bad Halo. If the future of Halo is dependent on milking its playerbase for every penny they have for some cosmetic bullshit in game that has no truly tangible value outside of the game then let Halo die. This franchise became the fantastic thing that it is on the first three games and they had none of this shit. Plain and simple. Call it what it is, a shameless cash grab. Almost as bad as Dying Light 2 releasing a microtransaction shop in a single player game while having an event at the same time in game about robbing people. If this is the reality of the Halo title under 343, the plug should be pulled and left unplugged for good.
I like the idea of the MK V being unlocked by beating all the MCC campaigns on legendary. It would make having the iconic set MEAN something more than “oh I coughed up money”. Back in Halo 5 I was proud to rock the Helioskrill armor (until it got added to req packs but whatever). There’s no armor in Infinite you can be proud to wear
I do not. I played Halo 4 on legendary difficulty and it sucked ass. M/K or Gamepad, doesn't matter, it sucks ass. I completed old Halos with a great joy, but Halo 4 was just a kick in the nuts in more ways than one.
How so? I recently replayed it on legendary both solo and with a friend and it was actually better than I remember. It reminded me that Prometheans are a little tanky, but overall nowhere near as bad as I remember. Just some sections ammo is a bit of an issue, but overall it's okay.@@tanodz7635
@@DayMan.. , oh yeah, especially with respawning teleporting enemies that need tons of ammo to kill only for them to rise again. And also completely without any flying vehicles, because enemies AI was not told to stop shooting at certain distance, meaning the moment you're up - you're a pinata.
That Scarab vs. Scarab mode you came up with sounds amazing. I would play that mode religiously if they made that. I think I may have seen something similar to that in halo MCC reach custom game browser.
Or the SW Battlefront 1 ATAT mode. One team has a sacrab. Map slowly unlocks as teams move with scarab to defend sacrab and destroy their OBJ before enemy spartan team destroys Scarab. This is like the scarab mode, invasion, and map unlock mode all rolled into one. King me.
Yes, Scarabs have been sorely missing, and I'd have put one into an Infinite level, for sure (probably in place of the Pelican Down boss fight?) Also, now we see blamite mining... would be sweet, to re-encounter, the Needle Rife, too...@@kel_ski
Sorry for the weird upload time guys. This was meant to go up last night but I've been sick these past few days and I had more video left to make than I thought. So I did the only logical thing and didn't sleep until it was done :^) I hope you all enjoy! Lot's of love in this one (It's also my longest video yet, wow)
I really like your take on this. "Halo is finally at the starting line". Halo infinite always had amazing core gameplay now it finally has the content to match it. I think Halo fans can finally afford the luxury of being hopeful for the future.
@@TheBananamonger I let go off it as soon as I got introduced to bloom....rest in piece garbage shooting system. Infinte is just way better than reach.
MY. GOD. The Master Chief Sucks at Halo bit brought me back like that one scene in ratatouille. I used to watch Arby n the Chief all the time a few years ago. Good to see you also put OC the chad in your video
I hope they at least lessen the ruthlessness of the SBMM particularly on social it really gets frustrating when you get punished for doing good in game whether win(feels artificial now at least for me) or lose(this will happen a lot).
I teabagged Mint Blitz a couple times on Squad Battles Rat's nest. I'm on Pacific US so like 20ms ping, and he was teleporting crazy bc of his server stuff plus I'm Mouse and Keyboard, so it was pretty intense but I don't regret it.@@dimitrisdimitriou4747
@@kel_ski Its harder in my case the skill levels between me and my friends varies some of my friends love husky raid which inflates whatever hidden stat/MMR SBMM requires whilst me and others don't play that much husky raid which made matchmaking taking up long queues or outright failing to find a match at least in my experience.
@@kel_skiyou guys are just bad. It's verifiable. Lol. 343 talked about this. No one's getting these brutal games or getting punished for doing well and blah blah blah. You guys are just not as good this time around. Halo has never been cod, its always been like this. I don't have this problem at all.
Use more meme faces on the small part where your face is visible on your OC please, it's funny hahaha. And yeah, everything is good about this season but not everything can, damn shop prices, that's about it from me 3:48 This is perfect! HAHSHAHHS
@@kel_skiDid you see the golden sandwich easter egg on Forbidden? It's a fun easter egg you can only do on an Infection match, takes me back to the old times. Also there is the fact that the pass is 50 tiers because now you don't have emblems or coatings repeated, they are all in one item and shoulders are in the same tier too.
would still like to remind everyone that cross core has been in the game since launch via the old bot bootcamp mode. being drip fed content is a choice not a feature.
i don’t specifically mention bots in the video, but yeah that got exposed ages ago i think people forgot 💀 but i have mentioned that in previous Halo vids
This is not really true at all. There was a glitch which casued the one Mk VII helmet to appear on other cores when they didn't load properly. But the coating was not matched at all, so not crosscore. Then there were pictures circulated of "crosscore on bots" that were in fact just people who used a modded client to change it themselves.
You could have a mode similar to titanfall 2s attrition, where you win buy earning points and can gain points buy killing enemy players or enemy ai, which could be elites, jackals, grunts, etc.
Yeah man that's what I was thinking of when people could add AI to their maps. they should make a squad battle sized suite of maps with that in mind i think itd work well with the general size of 8v8 maps
I was insanely confused why people were going nuts over season 5 when a majority of the advertised flood cosmetics and the Master cheif armor were multiple paid $20 bundles. And all the actual cool stuff is community made stuff you can’t even find. Why are people so content with a game that has become nothing but a shopping center.
In terms of PvPvE, something like Titanfall's Bounty Hunt mode would be interesting to see. Two fireteams competing to score points earned by eliminating waves of a third AI faction.
im very curious where 343 goes with Halo now that they don’t have a solid roadmap ahead. the training wheels are off, time to make some new experiences
Bungie developed Halo as a single-player focused game with an immersive, rich campaign story as the main hook. Anyone talking about multi-player maps & customizable add-ons like they matter, is missing the entire point of why Halo was great to start with. This is just rewarding 343/Microsoft for serving more slop.
Another really good video! Personally, my most wanted feature is still playable elites, but I definitely agree that they really need that X-factor mode. In my mind, the best way to execute that might be a battle royale with PvE elements and scattered objectives, where the end goal is still to be the last man/team standing. Lore-wise I think it would be cool if you played as Red vs. Blue style mercenaries or UNSC defectors who left after they lost the war, which would give you a good reason to be fighting against the Banished as well as other spartans. I desperately want this game to be good, and it's nice to see where it should have been at launch, but like you said unless they put in some serious work to add some really substantial modes/content then they will never get back the playerbase they've bled for the past 2 years.
Halo 3 was basically a perfect game in my eyes. I never installed Infinite because I saw the writing on the wall. I'm glad people are having fun with it, but to quote Padme, "You're going down a path I can't follow."
The people that spend 20 bucks over and over on a game are the people that keep incentivizing the companies to release more and more bullshit at 20 dollars.
Season 5 is definitely a step in the right direction but there's SOO much more to be done. I'm impressed with the forge updates but it seems like 343 is depending on the community to carry the game. Like you said in the video the sandbox is super limited and many of the old weapons need to make a return. I mean its halo INFINITE... this game should be everything halo. They dropped the DMR like it was a 'new' weapon lol. Also, if they want the forge and custom games to carry the game, then the custom games browser should be improved and there should be matchmaking for some of the cool forge game modes (battle royale, tower defense, fat kid, etc.) Like imagine you could host dedicated servers with 24/7 duck hunt or BR or tower defense. I know so many people who would reinstall the game for that kinda stuff.
Halo is finished, so what are they going to do now? I dunno maybe fix the networking and custom games, finish adding modes and weapons, fix the UI, add pre/post game lobby, add match composer, add server select, add anticheat, also all the brand new modes in the video, and fix all the current/new bugs, but its basically finished guys
If people like that new pvpve mode that's cool but I really want pve just give me classic firefight or floodfight I really enjoyed those modes I wanna see it return in infinite.
The comment about how the lay-offs have anything to do with monetary incentive is a fallacy. Same complanies which lay-off hundreds of people are the same ones which loudly boast about record profits year over year. Reason for lay-offs, the same suits you talk about. Psychopaths, in short. It's not dramatic, it's just true. They have no ability to empathise at all so they'll behave as their value system allows them to. Fuck everyone else but me, my bonuses matter. That seems to be it.
the two things that killed infinite for me was it not feeling like halo (ie: running, sliding, aiming with every gun, ect...), and it FEELING like a free game. (ie: overabundance of microtransactions and BP's).
Expensive cosmetic micro transactions are especially bullshit for me, considering how I play games. There will be times where I'll spend half a gaming session just customizing my dude or playing toward obtaining a specific cosmetic. And I can't truly enjoy a game until I have most of everything unlocked, so that I can freely switch around different things to suit my mood for that day without restriction. But because micro transactions are so expensive, I essentially have to pay like TEN TIMES MORE than the average player to reach the same level of game enjoyment. IT'S NOT FAIR!!! BRING JUSTICE FOR FASHIONBROS
No mention of the absurd load times unless you cripple every other game you own by rolling back your Nvidia drivers by 6 months... or the ability to use keyboard and mouse tied to whether you own a high end video card... or the complete lack of any social communications options... or.. or.. or.. or.. I could go on for an hour... These are things that SHOULDN'T be an issue in any game made 20 years ago, let alone today. I have loved Halo from the very beginning. I remember buying an original Xbox just to play the first Halo... I WANT Halo to step up and kick all these other multiplayer games right in their vagina... Unfortunately, unacceptable issues like these and a baffling inability to innovate make that possibility remote at best... The shame of playing 2nd, 3rd, or 10th fiddle to Call of Doodie, Over-non-binary-watch 2, or Trans Legends (the competition for ESG loans has gotten fierce), is almost too much to bear... Halo is the last holdout of old school competitive gaming. It doesn't pander... it just plays... It deserves better and I hope it gets there.
All I would want is a two part *Halo: Infinite* campaign DLC like DOOM Eternal did. And with it, we need the Bandit Rifle, Repulsor, Threat Seeker, Quantum Translocator and the Shroud Screen from previous multiplayer updates built into it.
That playlist doesn't have nearly enough is the problem! Mini slayer and the mode where everybody has fusion coils is fun. But they could do so much more, given how crazy some of the fan made maps in forge are
Love the ideas of new gamemodes. The problem is that Infinite doesnt even have all of its own Halo content in its own sandbox game yet. Still missing tons of gamemodes, lots of guns and plenty of vehicles. Bringing in existing assets shouldn't be taking this long as they already know what it does and what it looks like. I love the idea of new content but considering it nearly took 2 years just to add infection/DMR, imagine how long its gonna take to make a new gamemode or weapon. The idea of Dont spend December is hilarious and would be so hard to pull off in the christmas season but man that would definitely hurt them and leave a message.
11:50 - FINALLY. SOMEBODY mentions this. It's REALLY bad. I expect the browser to work like this: 1. I can filter and sort the lobbies, especially by player count + ping and those are saved if I come back 2. I can manually refresh, or it refreshes for me (and moves around entries vs reloading the entire ui) 3. I select a lobby, see it's details+lobby, and can JOIN 4. Once joined, it'll start to load the game+map and then i'll spawn in when it does 5. Leaving this menu/joining another game will force me to leave THAT lobby, and join another to load that map+game 6. When a match is done, if it's set to continue again/in a rotation, everybody is back in the lobby and it loads again, or WAITS until the leader has started the game and tells me what's going on It works like this: 1. I can filter and sort, but it's not always obvious on the order. I can sort by player count. Choices aren't saved..... 2. When refreshing, it loads everything again and puts me on the first page. I can't just go back to a particular page.....I must go through them one by one... and results can move from page to page -- results aren't cached at all, so you can EAISLY miss games if you go to the next page 3. I join a game, and it joins the fireteam/lobby 4. I can browse around and leave the menu, but i can't easily see the game screen unless i dig around in my sidebar menus 5. It'll randomly load me into the game when it loads, which sometimes isn't indicated to me 6. Browsing the game browser again... and trying to join another fails -- as im in a lobby... Leaving a lobby manually often fails.... and im kind of "in limbo" not in the game, but somehow in the lobby and hearing everybody talk 7. When the game restarts everybody is back in the game browser/main menu and NOT the game lobby... you don't always enter the game when the leader starts, and must leave / join again 8. The only way to fix odd issues of being stuck in a lobby is to exist halo and restart it -- and needing to search the browser again... There's no "favorite this person to see their lobbies" if they host a lot but arent your friend. No real way to search via text of the lobby. It's... just... so annoying it ruins what could be an amazing experience. MCC and literally any other pc game has done custom game browsers for decades.....
I don’t think firefight is coming next week because the halo 3 callback playlist is launching, it’d be weird to have such a large content drop all at once
I think a mode where you play as a odst w/ very light shielding (maybe new advanced odst armor) verses super low level elites or supped up skirmishers with a bunch of ai in the mix with one main objective, like maybe a light frigate vs a really small banishes cruiser or something would be really cool
I was on board until the "oh no! Better buy the overpriced bundle armor or else the poor billion dollar company might be sad!" Don't buy it and yeah theyll lower prices for this shit. It isnt rocket science. The reason its so expensive is because people CONTINUE to buy it overpriced as fuck.
Greatest ad of all time. An absolute tore of force in the entertainment and advertisement industries. On behalf of myself, and myself, we salute you. Bravo.
More things will be cross core in the future, as they have said that they are working on cross core shoulders next Let’s just hope they don’t use more cross core as an excuse to raise prices
They could do another collaboration with mega blocks where they sell individual micro action figures with unique armor that digitally ties to your Halo infinite Spartan.
How about this crazy idea! You pay a flat fee (Lets say $60) for the game and you unlock everything in the game through in game currency and progression you get from playing the game LIKE HOW THEY DID FOR EVERY OTHER HALO GAME PRE HALO 4. Halo infinite will remain dog water until then. I still remember when people got mad at the $2.50 horse armor DLC for Oblivion, but now you can charge people $20 for a skin in a $70 COD game and no one seems to care or be upset about it.
you seem to forget that those games also had paid map packs, even after the full $60… paywalling content and splitting population up is far worse in my opinion than not being able to look a certain way
@@kel_ski It is absolutely not worse than this atrocious way games are being monetized. I dont think halo games pre halo 3 even had map packs even if they did Id rather have that then the glorified credit card swipers that are games nowadays.
21:40 but the layoff arent because of profits. Gaming makes more than ever. Its because of greed. Even bungie layoffs were because of greed. Nothing to do with sony.
The absolute nonsense we have to deal with nowadays is why I will forever hate Fortnite. 1 month of "fun" for 7+ years of pain across every other franchise.
I'd like to see some campaign dlc, or a multiplayer mode that let's you play as an odst which is something that i wanted since the day I played halo 3 odst for the first time
Mark my words. This game will never make back its 500 million dollar budget to any significant degree. Mark 5 will not make them anywhere near the money required.
SBMM is so shit that I feel no reason to play. I'm an average player, but I'm always the top of my team by far. Still lose every game because 343 thinks I'm mint blitz or something and that I can carry an entire team every match. And I can't even join custom games on Xbox. It only works for me when I play on PC. I'm just done coming back to this game.
controversial opinion: i dont really miss the spartan laser, i really miss the SMG, plasma rifle, carbine, beam rifle and spiker rifle, like wtf the game is about a faction of brutes and doesnt have their staple weapon the spiker?!?
Here where I live there is a law that prevents companies from selling products together without having a way to buy them individually. It's called a tied sale. What games normally do is put the items separately but at a price almost higher than the bundle. And believe me, these bundles are not cheap hshusau.
As someone who stopped playing in 2021. I have to say that season 5 brought me back wholesale no bullshit i got into forge for the first time and had a blast making my own pseudo firefight. Hours wasted just making maps and putting ai in them, its a step in the right direction KEYWORD "step" infinites got a long way to go but it has the potential to pull through.
The fact I have literally never heard of the permanent battle passes also shows that marketing needs to be a little better. For myself, and a lot of the people I know, we're the kind of people who are completionists and love doing challenges. I personally have every single challenge and dog tag in BF4 just because I liked doing the challenges so much. So a massive blow against these live-service games is how FOMO-heavy they are. You miss a month of Destiny 2, you're behind in power level, may have permanently missed items, and essentially wasted a months progress on the battle pass, and permanently missed out on some unique challenge items. Same for fortnite. Some skins are seen as legendary with massive price tags outside of the game just because they are rare in the shop or were from early seasons passes. So the idea of having the battle passes be permanent that you can always go back to to finish off in your own time is really really cool to me, to the point I'm redownloading it right now. To me, that essentially works as a levelling system, since, as far as I'm aware, you get enough halo-bucks to buy the next pass from the current one. So you can get the first one and eventually go through all of them. Kinda cool. To be fair, I also got the absolute WORST possible introduction to the game. I started the day the game came out, back when you didn't even get progress for playing matches. It took them so long to add it, with the (at the time) non-permanent battle pass that I just rolled my eyes at another sad cash grab and uninstalled.
Thanks for the upload. Recently I went and played the campaign of halo 1 (never grew up with halo) and was amazed at what halo was back then, and how far it fell.
Picture this: A version of halo infinite where you can move behind a wall during a BR duel and you aren't deleted from around the corner. It's my one fantasy. I swear, Halo, PLEASE, just fix the desync.
I think halo MP is the best it's been in a while at least for what I'm looking for in a multi-player game. I just wish they didn't muddy up the experience with the virtual shop and battle pass trends where you have to dump like 150 hours in to get xp boosters and color pallets and like 1 set of armor (and omfg the challenge swaps what were they thinking). Really holds back the overall opinion and reception of the game
Agreed i was on this dude's side till the monetization portion, the dude is trying so hard to find a way to make their terrible marketing scheme work when we should be trying to make the scheme obsolete
Problem with the flood cosmetic is it feels tacked on. Remember Halo 1 where the infection form is bulging out of cracked METAL armor ? also body horror usually applies to shit like deformation. which again is something the flood due. breaking bones in the body and reshaping them into horrific tendril claws. Making the head this vestigial thing that gurgles and sometimes begs for death. The shit in Infinite just looks like someone let mold grow on their armor and called it a day. where's the chest pieces where the chest is clearly cracked open and a flood infection form's feelers twitch and move sporadically as it tries to find something else to convert? Why does the WEAPON have biomass on it?
In Kelski we trust. Seriously though, great video! I hope more people see this to bring more awareness on what should be prioritized to continue this upward trend for Infinite.
Halo has nowhere near been explored enough yet. Axing the franchise now would 100% be the biggest gaming fumble of a lifetime. They just need the right people cooking with the franchise
I miss the old days when melee-ing someone with the oddball was a one-shot. Or when we could vote on maps. Or have consistent lobbies... where people actually talked...
8:14, 26:03 I hate that they are adding new weapons that were not in previous games. They said the reason for not having the missing weapons was because they wanted to reduce the sandbox and have only one weapon per weapon type, yet here they go again adding another weapon that already has multiple weapons for that weapon type. Even though the other weapons had the same role/type as the weapons that were included in the game, some were preferred over the others of the same type. 26:03 *(1)* It better be a one-shot kill at close range (the Bulldog doesn't, even at point blank range) *(2)* Even though I've always wanted a Covenant version of a shotgun (thought the sneak peek image of the Plasma Caster was going to be one, still like the crossbow grenade launcher though), I wish they would just bring back the normal UNSC shotgun, any version.
"then we get no halo at all" is that so bad? We still have fan content like SPV3 or halo 3 combat evolved and mods for games like left4dead that I'd rather play.
I loved firefight in halo 5, I can't wait for it to come back. I also think they need to make an actual setting for xbox and PC players to turn off cross-platform. I don't mind playing with pc guys, but when I run into someone on pc with aim assist and goes 46-6 it doesn't make it fun to play against those players due to having an advantage. People will say "get a pc bro" but some of us can't at the moment, so seeing 343 actually make it to where we can play with only pc or only Xbox would make it alot better to play.
I cant fathom how 343 initially released a game with no levelling system other than ranked games which reset after each season. And people weren't always free to complete the weekly challenges so they missed out and gained no progression. If this was in the game to begin with I would probs be max rank. now I lost motivation to play it again, this has rekindled my interest
I have no problem for new cores (Armor styles/ Spartan styles) to pay or funky Armor (Legendary or so) or new weapon skins but for armor a bundle of normal skins which are challange rewards, like there is a mark 7 core for 20$/or like now in the pass in a rome style which include challanges for 3 normal sets where you look like a recon a fortifed centurion or legion medic, or like apex mythic you can play and earn 3 stages from a light armor to a centurion which is more massiv and for tanking bigger cal. For lore and funky store sets are like a gladiator look or the elite guard (something with P don't know it know) which someone who wish to look like that to buy but everyone else have a selection from the standart pieces from the challanges to custom
any sort of achievement/challenge based unlocks is all this game needs to give someone an incentive to play, i remember booting up reach just to show off the recon helmet or the haunted pilot helmet and even now with weapon skins there could so easily be more challenges to gain some sort of specific item(s)
Yea now people get on to show off how much money they spent on the A.I voice they use for multiplayer and the cool armor they earned through punching their cards number into the payment option
The menu glitch with some stances looked epic like theres one where your spartan holds a disruptor and the little shocking effect lights up his/her face
i think it’s a very important thing to point to note. the devs at 343 are insanely talented and creative, but they are just unfortunately controlled by the overall gaming landscape. Halo won’t change until the entire industry changes :’) thanks for watching!
I still haven't played Halo Infinite since season 1 because there's basically no customisation options for me simply for not buying a battle pass. I'd rather just keep playing Halo 3
Man I really wish this series to be successful again, but the players like me outside of USA still suffer from server issue. One example is that we cannot even precisely predict the melee range because of it. Hopefully they will fix it sooner but man I have heard it from the beginning. The players still play this game do have the true love for the Halo.
Your intro and outro had me fucking dead lol. Completely agree about it needing a new big mode, Warzone(H5) was truly one of the best modes if not the best mode in all of Halo MP, Infinite needs that. Invasion 2.0 with playable Elites and ai on both sides would also be fucking insane and is truly possible now with AI in MP
As cool as that whole "have big name personalities tell their fans to boycott" idea is it'll never happen. Nobody that big is going to put themselves on a studio or an entire company's shit list. If they did then they're essentially telling that company next time they're doing an advertising campaign to put their name at the bottom of the list or remove it entirely. It's access content creation, the people who get invited to big CoD events will talk just enough trash about the game to stay on the list but they'll never go full bore nor will they stop playing or buying things to show everyone because it also affects their bottom line. Same applies here. What we need is someone like TotalBiscuit but after his death nobody filled that role of reviewer and fairly aggressive consumer advocate. As for buying stuff piecemeal, yeah it should happen. If I buy the CE armor for 7 bucks then the combo bundle should cost me 15, in the end I paid 2 bucks over normal but I'd still have the option. The sad part is you know that probably won't happen because of the suits. They figured out bundles earn more money because people with poor financial literacy or impulse control will buy whatever at a 20 dollar price point as long as it has the one thing they want. So why make 7 dollars when the same idiots will throw 20 at it and just not use the other parts? Sad reality. The layoffs bit is funny too since Bungie's issue stemmed from diminishing product quality (kinda like Halo for the past 2 years) and double dipping into player's wallets, Embracer and Free Radical's issue stems from a 2 billion dollar plan falling through (and selling the studio won't really solve the problem since they burnt the money on the studio as is and getting them to finish their game is the better option), DE's problem was more Airship Syndicate's fault since they fumbled launch horribly and put out a meh at best game.

How so? I recently replayed it on legendary both solo and with a friend and it was actually better than I remember. It reminded me that Prometheans are a little tanky, but overall nowhere near as bad as I remember. Just some sections ammo is a bit of an issue, but overall it's okay.@@tanodz7635

That Scarab vs. Scarab mode you came up with sounds amazing. I would play that mode religiously if they made that. I think I may have seen something similar to that in halo MCC reach custom game browser.

@@Chromeberd Sheesh now that's a throwback! Such a fun gamemode
King me.
Yes, Scarabs have been sorely missing, and I'd have put one into an Infinite level, for sure (probably in place of the Pelican Down boss fight?)

I hope they at least lessen the ruthlessness of the SBMM particularly on social it really gets frustrating when you get punished for doing good in game whether win(feels artificial now at least for me) or lose(this will happen a lot).
The skill based matchmaking is so brutal that i had a match against ispiteful (a streamer who is in hero rank). I am only in gold rank
yeah solo queuing this game is almost hell. it’s way more loose if you play with friends, makes it a (little bit) easier to find non-sweaty games

You could have a mode similar to titanfall 2s attrition, where you win buy earning points and can gain points buy killing enemy players or enemy ai, which could be elites, jackals, grunts, etc.
that would be so sick!
Yeah man that's what I was thinking of when people could add AI to their maps. they should make a squad battle sized suite of maps with that in mind i think itd work well with the general size of 8v8 maps
Wasn't there a mode in halo 5 just like that?
I was insanely confused why people were going nuts over season 5 when a majority of the advertised flood cosmetics and the Master cheif armor were multiple paid $20 bundles. And all the actual cool stuff is community made stuff you can’t even find.
Why are people so content with a game that has become nothing but a shopping center.
In terms of PvPvE, something like Titanfall's Bounty Hunt mode would be interesting to see. Two fireteams competing to score points earned by eliminating waves of a third AI faction.
god that would be so fun in Halo
Didn't Halo 5 do that?
I can say the game is back but like you said at a starting line. I’ve played with friends for hours and it’s been super super fun
im very curious where 343 goes with Halo now that they don’t have a solid roadmap ahead. the training wheels are off, time to make some new experiences
Amazing video as always kelski! Can’t wait to see more halo videos! Best of luck man
thank you so much dude 🤝
Really dig the flood armor. I hope more gets added soon along side the flood Spartan intel drops. 343 pls.
i would love if they remade the H2A flood helmet! that one is my favorite
Whats frustrating is the players that bought infinite but get the same free unlocks as free to play players.........
The fact that they brought back an armor they new would be wanted by most..and charged out the nose for it. Pure greed
I desperately want this game to be good, and it's nice to see where it should have been at launch, but like you said unless they put in some serious work to add some really substantial modes/content then they will never get back the playerbase they've bled for the past 2 years.
i’m 100% down for a battle royale as long as it doesn’t take away resources from the main game. Halo is just perfect for it!
I think it's coming in a week, don't know about floodfight tho
You need to check out some of the firefight maps and missions people have already put out, some are incredible.

23:35
That 3 second clip made my skin crawl.
I’m still not praising 343 for giving us the game we should’ve had at launch. How many people didn’t come back?
Bro there is an action sack, it’s social slayer. I played as a literal action figure and had guns that were still normal size
I expect the browser to work like this:
1. I can filter and sort the lobbies, especially by player count + ping and those are saved if I come back
2. I can manually refresh, or it refreshes for me (and moves around entries vs reloading the entire ui)
3. I select a lobby, see it's details+lobby, and can JOIN
4. Once joined, it'll start to load the game+map and then i'll spawn in when it does
5. Leaving this menu/joining another game will force me to leave THAT lobby, and join another to load that map+game
6. When a match is done, if it's set to continue again/in a rotation, everybody is back in the lobby and it loads again, or WAITS until the leader has started the game and tells me what's going on
It works like this:
1. I can filter and sort, but it's not always obvious on the order. I can sort by player count. Choices aren't saved.....
2. When refreshing, it loads everything again and puts me on the first page. I can't just go back to a particular page.....I must go through them one by one... and results can move from page to page -- results aren't cached at all, so you can EAISLY miss games if you go to the next page
3. I join a game, and it joins the fireteam/lobby
4. I can browse around and leave the menu, but i can't easily see the game screen unless i dig around in my sidebar menus
5. It'll randomly load me into the game when it loads, which sometimes isn't indicated to me
6. Browsing the game browser again... and trying to join another fails -- as im in a lobby... Leaving a lobby manually often fails.... and im kind of "in limbo" not in the game, but somehow in the lobby and hearing everybody talk
7. When the game restarts everybody is back in the game browser/main menu and NOT the game lobby... you don't always enter the game when the leader starts, and must leave / join again
NUH UH 🗣🔥
I think a mode where you play as a odst w/ very light shielding (maybe new advanced odst armor) verses super low level elites or supped up skirmishers with a bunch of ai in the mix with one main objective, like maybe a light frigate vs a really small banishes cruiser or something would be really cool
I was on board until the "oh no! Better buy the overpriced bundle armor or else the poor billion dollar company might be sad!" Don't buy it and yeah theyll lower prices for this shit. It isnt rocket science. The reason its so expensive is because people CONTINUE to buy it overpriced as fuck.

I think that 500 million budget thing was debunked years ago

Why the fuck are we still needing to pay for armor we were promised free shit and no battle pass yet here we are
SBMM is so shit that I feel no reason to play. I'm an average player, but I'm always the top of my team by far. Still lose every game because 343 thinks I'm mint blitz or something and that I can carry an entire team every match. And I can't even join custom games on Xbox. It only works for me when I play on PC. I'm just done coming back to this game.
Jesus the editing is so unique compared to other gaming yt frfr
makes me happy i can stand out a lil bit 😁
controversial opinion: i dont really miss the spartan laser, i really miss the SMG, plasma rifle, carbine, beam rifle and spiker rifle, like wtf the game is about a faction of brutes and doesnt have their staple weapon the spiker?!?
Here where I live there is a law that prevents companies from selling products together without having a way to buy them individually. It's called a tied sale. What games normally do is put the items separately but at a price almost higher than the bundle. And believe me, these bundles are not cheap hshusau.
It’s my civic duty to gatekeep halo from pay-pigs who fuel 343’s awful customization monetization
Halo! Its holy winds strive trough the stars and propell all worthy along the golden path to absolution!! Halo for all!!!
_What capitalism does to a game._
22:40 option 4. Abandon the free to play model and go back to actual paid games.
21:31 the craziest part is that I've seen people who DO want this ever since the Halo 4 days. I mean yea thare not wrong fore wanting this.
Halo has nowhere near been explored enough yet. Axing the franchise now would 100% be the biggest gaming fumble of a lifetime. They just need the right people cooking with the franchise
Its a shame the microtransactions are the way they are. The shop and overpriced cosmetics is what is stopping my friend group from playing the game.

We should definitely all promote the Scarab vs Scarab mode
yes!
That scarab mode idea would be AMAZING, especially with Infinite's sandbox?!

@@kel_ski that would literally be my go to mode. Grappling inside a scarab with camo, back smacking everyone, then destroying it 😳
I have no problem for new cores (Armor styles/ Spartan styles) to pay or funky Armor (Legendary or so) or new weapon skins but for armor a bundle of normal skins which are challange rewards, like there is a mark 7 core for 20$/or like now in the pass in a rome style which include challanges for 3 normal sets where you look like a recon a fortifed centurion or legion medic, or like apex mythic you can play and earn 3 stages from a light armor to a centurion which is more massiv and for tanking bigger cal.

I still haven't played Halo Infinite since season 1 because there's basically no customisation options for me simply for not buying a battle pass. I'd rather just keep playing Halo 3

I'd rather Warzone or Invasion rather than another BR man...
Now
They need to GET RID of sbmm and allow PERSISTENT LOBBIES

You have to pay for armor colors… that alone is disgusting.
