    I just received one of these bikes that was damaged during shipping. Not Gunai's fault but trying to get the technical information for the fork replacement is excruciatingly painful. I've gone back and forth with one of their "technicians" on chat for at 15 back and forths. Their latest response was to send a link to purchase the incorrect forks from their web site and the technical info they gave was merely "18 in the rear and 73 in the front is the ballpark" I have no idea how that info would help find the correct fitment to replace the suspension parts on this bike. One thing is certain, they do not have clear understanding of customer service or technical support.

    Are you saying the bike can't be turned off all the way unless you physically remove the battery?
    I don't want to worry about the bike being stolen if run into a store for 5 minutes and removed the key,
    I know I run the risk of it being stolen in any case if a thief chose to try and get away with pedal assist power only,
    but I'm willing to take that chance, what I'm afraid of after hearing your review is your suggesting I think that the ebike could still have battery power
    even after I removed the key ?

    I have this bike, but it's branded as the Deepower X20, and there's no rear rack or fenders. The Amazon listing had a choice of battery sizes between 20ah, 25ah, or 30ah. I ordered the 30ah model, but they sent me a 25ah battery instead. I got a refund for the price difference. I'd say it's my 2nd favorite ebike, behind my Ariel Rider X-Class, as the performance feels "almost" as good.

    • @Techtablets
      @Techtablets  Год назад +4

      That's very interesting you say it feels almost as good as the Rider X-Class is 52V. I breifly tested this one unlocked and it is very quick for an ebike, really feels more like a 125cc dirt bike it's speed or 50cc. You bike must look so much better without the fenders and rear bike rack! Maybe i'll take them off if I end up hanging on to this. Love the brakes, power and ride. Thanks for your comment! Enjoy that Deepower X20!

    I have the 30 AH 2000w version ( only the motor is 2000w the motor controller is 1380 ISH watts 😂) top speed on flat is 32 MPH or so with 6 foot 75 kilo rider
    The attachment point for rear mudguard will snap if you use it off road.

    It's confusing, that it achieves only 50 km range, I would have guessed an 80 at least on pure electice... that is only 1000 w motor.. the bike is reasonably heavy 37kg.. but not too heavy.. Philodo H8 with dual 1000 watt can achieve 40 miles range on pure electric with its 22Ah battery. quite more than the Gunai.. my only explanation is that the motor of the Gunai has a nominal power output of 1000 w, but might be able surpass that.. it has good speed at climbing. I'm disappointed. It seams that Mid drive e bikes will still be the king even with way smaller batteries. Nevertheless the price is amazing

    • @Techtablets

    UK Poster here. One observation after talking to a guy who owns one. Having the option to use WITHOUT pedals creates a grey area in this country. A bicycle needs pedals (mostly) to put and keep in motion. That means here that it's not obligatory to have 3rd party (minimal) insurance. The owner has insurance (not sure what type but I assume he's covered for 3rd party damage/injury). He also wears full motorcycle gear. If the police stopped him after seeing him not pedalling, they'd assume he was a biker - pedals or not. He'd then have to provide a licence, insurance and possibly an MOT/TÜV cert. of vehicle roadworthiness. It's very fast for a cycle and the possibilities of an accident are significant if driven irresponsibly. In France any bicycle capable of motion independent of pedals is banned - after a couple of fatalities. I'd have one if I was clear what the implications were if I was involved in an accident with someone else and if I was sure a copper couldn't penalise me in any way.

      One of the more powerful and quicker ones yes. Others with 1000W don't seem as fast I often wonder if they are more 100W peak and really 750 nominal or something.

      @@slimdunkin117There is no other bike that looks like this (other than identical bikes with different branding). This one is like a hybrid of the motorcycle/cafe racer style ebikes like the ones you mentioned and a standard mountain bike style ebike.

      The 1000w is a lie btw. It has more peak power (the controller is what determines the real power and if I remember correctly it's 48v * 30A in this case so peak power with a fresh battery is 1440w)

    • @Techtablets

      40km/h a but more. Takes about 5- 6 seconds 30 on a full charge.
