I just received one of these bikes that was damaged during shipping. Not Gunai's fault but trying to get the technical information for the fork replacement is excruciatingly painful. I've gone back and forth with one of their "technicians" on chat for at 15 back and forths. Their latest response was to send a link to purchase the incorrect forks from their web site and the technical info they gave was merely "18 in the rear and 73 in the front is the ballpark" I have no idea how that info would help find the correct fitment to replace the suspension parts on this bike. One thing is certain, they do not have clear understanding of customer service or technical support.
Are you saying the bike can't be turned off all the way unless you physically remove the battery? I don't want to worry about the bike being stolen if run into a store for 5 minutes and removed the key, I know I run the risk of it being stolen in any case if a thief chose to try and get away with pedal assist power only, but I'm willing to take that chance, what I'm afraid of after hearing your review is your suggesting I think that the ebike could still have battery power even after I removed the key ?

I have this bike, but it's branded as the Deepower X20, and there's no rear rack or fenders. The Amazon listing had a choice of battery sizes between 20ah, 25ah, or 30ah. I ordered the 30ah model, but they sent me a 25ah battery instead. I got a refund for the price difference. I'd say it's my 2nd favorite ebike, behind my Ariel Rider X-Class, as the performance feels "almost" as good.
That's very interesting you say it feels almost as good as the Rider X-Class is 52V. I breifly tested this one unlocked and it is very quick for an ebike, really feels more like a 125cc dirt bike it's speed or 50cc. You bike must look so much better without the fenders and rear bike rack! Maybe i'll take them off if I end up hanging on to this. Love the brakes, power and ride. Thanks for your comment! I own this bike as well as the 21max and I gotta say you can't beat what you get for the money solid bikes the only issue you will have is clearance for the rear caliper on the 21 max 10 minutes with a grinder and it's a non issue after that never had issues with the 🚓🚓🚓 and I live in the Poconos we have cops on e bikes in my town I've found the trick is DON'T DO 50 MPH THRU THE FARMERS MARKET and generally use common sense I bought a 50 mph ebike because I LOVE adrenaline dumps trust me 50 mph on a bike on OCCASION serves my Master so if you are not sure about the x20 or the 21max don't be I can only share my experience ✌️

I have this, the OEM I believe is a company called Siniu The chain constantly comes off 😂 I have the 30 AH 2000w version ( only the motor is 2000w the motor controller is 1380 ISH watts 😂) top speed on flat is 32 MPH or so with 6 foot 75 kilo rider The attachment point for rear mudguard will snap if you use it off road. Great commuter bike though with a few mods. I reccomend changing the tyres as the stock ones do not enjoy the wet ( or leaning over) the bike very much at all.

You said the battery can be locked, but you also appear to not be able to remove the key? if you can't remove the key in order for the Ebike to turn on, than you really can't lock the battery can you ?
Well Spain or at least my area is a bit more relaxed if you aren't speeding about like an idiot they don't check ebike motor wattage. They only really seem to care that it's limited to 25km/h which is what they normally are or I limit them to that. This way the chance of them stopping me is super slim.
@@mercedes_and_morei drive an e bike with 32km/h no pedalling and never had problems. Police stares sometimes..i think one time they also wanted to talk to me but i just kept on riding lmao. Just make sure to not drive too fast and begin to paddle whenever police is around 🗿👍🏻
It's confusing, that it achieves only 50 km range, I would have guessed an 80 at least on pure electice... that is only 1000 w motor.. the bike is reasonably heavy 37kg.. but not too heavy.. Philodo H8 with dual 1000 watt can achieve 40 miles range on pure electric with its 22Ah battery. quite more than the Gunai.. my only explanation is that the motor of the Gunai has a nominal power output of 1000 w, but might be able surpass that.. it has good speed at climbing. I'm disappointed. It seams that Mid drive e bikes will still be the king even with way smaller batteries. Nevertheless the price is amazing

I have my shengmillo fat tyre bike for 3 years every day commuting. Saw police many times and they don't give a fk about me!😅 As long as you don't do anything crazy in front of them.
crazy structural design. the structure for the seat and the thin steel tubular at the rear likely to come become weak at the weld points in eight years or more. however, this is an easy fix and/or structural upgrades for a competent welder. the rear shock absorber also appears not going to last long due to the awkward angle at heavy loads.
Nagh, the frame looks very rigid, rear shock probably goes off after a year or so, but should be no problem to replace it for some high quality aftermarket.

UK Poster here. One observation after talking to a guy who owns one. Having the option to use WITHOUT pedals creates a grey area in this country. A bicycle needs pedals (mostly) to put and keep in motion. That means here that it's not obligatory to have 3rd party (minimal) insurance. The owner has insurance (not sure what type but I assume he's covered for 3rd party damage/injury). He also wears full motorcycle gear. If the police stopped him after seeing him not pedalling, they'd assume he was a biker - pedals or not. He'd then have to provide a licence, insurance and possibly an MOT/TÜV cert. of vehicle roadworthiness. It's very fast for a cycle and the possibilities of an accident are significant if driven irresponsibly. In France any bicycle capable of motion independent of pedals is banned - after a couple of fatalities. I'd have one if I was clear what the implications were if I was involved in an accident with someone else and if I was sure a copper couldn't penalise me in any way.
One of the more powerful and quicker ones yes. Others with 1000W don't seem as fast I often wonder if they are more 100W peak and really 750 nominal or something.
@@slimdunkin117There is no other bike that looks like this (other than identical bikes with different branding). This one is like a hybrid of the motorcycle/cafe racer style ebikes like the ones you mentioned and a standard mountain bike style ebike.
The 1000w is a lie btw. It has more peak power (the controller is what determines the real power and if I remember correctly it's 48v * 30A in this case so peak power with a fresh battery is 1440w)

All good until I saw that huge wide frame at 07:47 that doesn't look comfortable at all. So not a bike to pedal but rather sit and use like a moped?
It's wider than usual and took a while to get use to bit once you do it's fine, looks worse than it really is.
You should bring a ruler to measure the fork travel next time.

It feels fine, I guess if the rider was 120 kilos maybe after years it could become an issue? As for the shock yes it's under a lot of pressure.

40km/h a but more. Takes about 5- 6 seconds 30 on a full charge.
