You have no idea how lucky you are to have seen Yeah. That’s a rare one these days. LCD doesn’t miss. I’ve seen em 10 times now going back to 2010 and they’ve never had a spectacular light show. That’s how they roll for better or worse. Glad you had a good time!
LCD Soundsystem is one of my favorite bands of all time; they were in Minneapolis last week and i wanted to go so bad but the tickets were so goddam expensive 😭 cool you got to go though!
Cool I still have to check out LCD Soundsystem. I’m glad you had a good one. Sorry if slightly off topic but I’m going to see Moby on his 25 years of Play tour!
Okay, I'm not sure why 256 was disappointed they didn't play North American Scum, since all their lesser known songs went hard. Also their visuals are an LCD Board, spotlights & the disco ball from the Self Titled Album's artwork. I'd say that's pretty cool.
tracks in their setlist being lesser known has nothing to do with it, they just happened to pull out a bunch of tracks I don't personally have as strong feelings on. I don't care about them playing the hits, they don't really do hits as the saying goes lol. they could've absolutely made my night by pulling out parts of 45 : 33 even if I figured there was little to no chance of that, meanwhile Oh Baby and Other Voices and Yr City's A Sucker are all pretty well known but I was kinda zoning out during those not that any of this matters too much at the end of the day tho, just splitting hairs more than anything and I still had a more than a fun enough night for it to be my money's worth either way
@@TheWonkyAngle Wow. Wasn't expecting a reply from you. Okay noted. Of course, Home, All My Friends, Daft Punk is Playing at My House, Dance Yrslf Clean & Movement are my top 5 favorite tracks from LCD Soundsystem & they played all 5. So that's probably why I liked that concert footage so much.
im kinda shocked that I never guessed that you'd be into LCD soundsystem thats genuinely awesome... not exactly patricia taxxon (discovered you from your reviews) but awesome anyway ofc..
Bit off topic but I remember a while back you were talking about all the Tipper fans trying to get you to a live Tipper set lol You gonna be able to pull that off before he retires in 2025? Myself and I’m sure maaany others would help you get there in any way necessary lol you HAVE to see Tipper live, PLEASE :) before it’s too late!
if he comes to the Chicago area within that time, then sure, but otherwise I wouldn't hold your breath for it? there's a number of different irl circumstances that make it difficult for me to leave the area (mostly financial reasons although there's a lot more logistical variables and other things going into that which would complicate things as well, that's not a request for financial support) also, while this isn't a contributor to whether or not I end up seeing him, I'm gonna have to be real and say the intensity with which the fanbase tried to push the idea on me did more to throw me off than get me excited? from the way I've seen certain fans talk about the guy in my comments I'm slightly worried about the reaction I'd get if I do actually get the chance to see Tipper live and the experience turns out to only be a solidly fun time for me and not some kind of religious enlightenment, people were putting a level of pressure on this experience that I wasn't sure was entirely healthy. I'll definitely see if I can pick up a ticket if he ends up in the area most accessible to me, but I also think I'll survive just fine if that chance doesn't come

Very much agreed! James Murphy is amazing!

Saw them 10-12 years ago or so . Excellent . Yes no light show but I was good. 🤘🏼
I am seeing them next month for the third time. I can’t wait. If they play ‘Yeah’ I will lose my mind.

I had no idea they were still a thing.
I'll see them I'm Bristol soon
Are they still working on that new album???
