Saw III's dad always infuriated me. He's a useless person. He's so focused on his loss that he willingly sacrifices his entire family.
Fr I can understand that you're grieving over a lost one. But you have to realize that you're literally putting your whole entire family at risk of death.
You fail to understand he is blinded by anger and revenge. He can't see the forest from the trees.
He simply couldn't forgive John, John himself knew it.
He spent years consumed by anger and vengeance.
@@kingalastor936 He still infuriates me. It's basically Saw's version of Moby Dick. Heck, his story basically IS Moby Dick.

Average person in horror movies
Jeff is literally the dumbest character in the saw series I’ve ever seen.
SAMF Jeff.
Jigsaw / John Kramer: You can't help them, they have to help themselves.
Me : thanks john !😁👍
The nail bomb was a mason jar. Break the jar to get rid of the nails and take some cover!!!
What's stopping you from taking the caps off of the shotgun shells on the collor?
A doctor without much knowledge of firearms wouldn't think of doing that in the first place. Also, there is always the danger of Amanda spotting it and remotely detonating the collar.
Given the history of Saw Traps, trying *reverse* activate them, never works. It's been tried to be done before and it fails.
2:15 that wouldn’t have worked cus chains are made out steel and the saw would be broken before you are just halfway through 😅
27:13 “he quickly observes”. Oh no, no, no. Jeff doesn’t “quickly” do anything.
Bro was walking so slow
Jigsaw's reason for targeting Lyn is one of the weakest ever....she takes anti-depressants. Uh yeah for a disease she has. To add insult to injury he says this with MULTIPLE prescription pill bottles next to his bed.
She does not have a "dependency on prescription medication" either, btw. She only takes anti-depressants. Which she needs.
Thank you, I came to the comments to say this. At least I can follow his logic with the rest of the people he chose, however warped.
But this one is so particularly nonsensical that I cannot figure out if the writers actually thought it made sense, or if they purposely added this to remind us that he’s just a deranged serial killer and not an antihero.
I was also gonna say the Dad lost a son and jigsaw lost a baby and took revenge but the boys dad was not allowed to do that jigsaw is such a hypocrite
I’d be a target of jigsaw too, since I also take antidepressants
Wasnt this amanda and not jig?
@@cassie1790Sometimes it’s really hard to tell if the writers are fully aware that jigsaw is a hypocritical, sadistic serial killer or if they’ve actually drank their own kool-aid and fully believe in his justifications for his actions.
That first trap was unbeatable either way, you'd have to rip your lower jaw off to get that chain out which would instantly kill you (also, 99.99% of people wouldn't have the physical strength to do it anyway)
You can disarm the bomb and wait for help.
@@MrSaiyan333 There'd be no way to reach it, that chain was bolted to the floor beneath him. Also, who TF just knows how to disarm a bomb?

*watches a human being get mutilated into paste*

When he slit his throat I was SO PISSED. Like yeah, this man is awful, but he didn't do anything to you other than force you to break your ankle. He didn't twist off YOUR limbs, didn't drown YOU in pig guts, didn't freeze YOU to death. No, YOU did that by only trying to save them when it was already too late. So he had no reason to slit Jigsaw's throat, at all.

Amanda was absolutely merciless and totally crazy. Amanda built her traps to kill, not to rehabilitate.
That's the point. She thinks they can't be rehabilitated.
So did John, he just hid behind his bullshit ideology
uhh, an important disclaimer. Torturing people doesn't rehabilitate them.
@@DissedRedEngie also an important disclaimer, Jigsaw doesn't give a shit about that.

also jigsaw is a hypocrite all his vic are ppl he blame for his baby death an his damn cancer
I just had a vision of 2,000,000 different timelines and jeff was fast and competent in a grand total of zero timelines
You can’t saw through the chains. Adam tried that in the first movie and he ended up breaking his hacksaw. Also, Eric can’t stay in the Bathroom for 3 days. Amanda is planning to use him as a test subject for future traps and there’s no telling when she’ll be back to drag him off to test the lethality of her newest trap, meaning Eric needs to get out as quickly as possible. Breaking his foot with the toilet tank lid was the best option he could use. At least that method greatly reduces his chances of bleeding out.
Agreed about the chain. If it's hardened steel then there is no way you can cut it with this saw. It would be dull very quickly. If it's regular iron and the saw blade is new then there is a change if you're calm enough and doesn't brake it.
Yep, plus Jigsaw doesn't like it when you break the rules. Hasn't he always explicitly stated that trying to break the rules in any way will get you punished?
Don't even try saw through the rusty pipes instead. :D
@@therealkaspar Those hacksaws are definitely not new. New saws don’t have rusty blades.
@@ettaetta439 Exactly. One good example of that is in Jigsaw, when Ryan broke the rules by trying to go out a door that was marked “NO EXIT” (which was stupid enough on its own). Because Ryan broke the rules, he ended up in a trap that required him to cut off his leg to get out and he was eventually forced to do it to save Anna and Mitch from the Grain Silo trap.

Saw X is coming out on September 29th.
The fact that he made saw 2 and 3 videos in less than 2 weeks basically confirms that
Fun fact: the key Amanda had on her neck didn't unlock the collar.
What? What did it unlock then???
@@Stonedsheepu8906 I don't think it was exactly revealed. In the directors cut of the movie there was a scene where Lynn managed to overpower Amanda and take the key. Then she tried to unlock the collar and door to escape, but she found out that the key doesn't fit to any of the locks.
Some people speculated that the key is related to something that Amanda could unlock after Johns death. If she won the game of course. Others said that she wore it just so it looked like she could just let Lynn go, but the collar was in reality rigged and couldn't just be easily unlocked. So just a bait key. There were also people who believed that it was a key from the door where Jeffs daughter was held captive. There are a lot of theories about it. There is no fact tho.
The Saw franchise had all the elements needed to craft brilliant survival thrillers. However, from Saw III onwards, the movies devolved into little more than torture p0rn! With Spiral, the filmmakers had the perfect chance to get things back on the right track. However, quite predictably, in the words of HTB, they f**ked up once again! 🤷♂🤷♂🤷♂
disagree, i don’t think the saw franchise will ever be or has ever been torture porn, but starting with saw 3d the series has been slumping. hopefully they get the series back on track with saw x, the clips shown look great
Gore porn, but yeah.
The point of Spiral is vengeance, similar to Amanda Schenk had no intention of testing people he was a killer out for revenge
Saw 4 and 5 were still true to having real messages and themes. 4 was about not being the hero and trying to save everyone, some people have to save themselves. 5 was about cooperating with others and sharing costs instead of pushing it all on one person.
6 is where it started to fall apart - the message of "LOL give me free healthcare".
7 was just 100% torture gore porn with the message "surprise, bet you didn't think I was still alive and working with Jigsaw"
8 was really good but didn't have a theme or message.
9 was a spin-off.
10 had no message or theme, just a strong independent girl boss who was part of the only trap in the entire franchise where someone is guaranteed to live and not be harmed -_-
lynn also kinda messed up, she should've immediately told jeff to keep john alive or else she will die
She was literally dying with a gunshot wound, I don’t blame her for not doing that etc
she was trying to, but jeff was blinded by rage and vengeance that he ignored her. even john told SAMF jeff to not do it but... SAMF jeff being SAMF jeff.. kills john.
@@nota444tm2SAMF jeff
It’s been long time since seen this film but when Amanda handed Lynn the axe, had Lynn killed her would there have been any drawbacks to it? She would’ve got the key & still be able to help John just in case there’s any more traps & meet up with Jeff in the end. Amanda didn’t really help when John was going through his close calls, it was mostly Lynn
I don't think so, from what I remember there wouldn't have been any direct drawbacks really. I think Amanda was just bluffing, and gaslighting Lynn in order to keep her in line, to deter her from doing anything that would jeopardize John's survival.
@@_danicalifornia Amanda would scream from being murdered and John would've ripped out his monitor causing it to flatline (or he'd have a heart attack) so Lynn would die.
@@xeniaaffirmations that's just a guess though, not a fact. Keep in mind that Amanda was actually the one being tested here, not Lynn. So John very well could've thought "she fucked around and found out" and that would've been it. Why would John kill Lynn? She wasn't the target in this situation, just collateral.
@@_danicalifornia
Amanda said John might be startled and upset because 1) Amanda didn't learn the intended lesson and 2) John cares about Amanda and ultimately wants her to succeed. So him ripping off his heart monitor to check up on Amanda wouldn't solely be to kill Lynn.
@@xeniaaffirmations John Kramer of all people doesn't strike me as someone who's easily startled, though. The point of his character is that he's always thinking two steps ahead, and in putting Amanda to the test in this scenario, it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibilities (that he most likely thought of ahead of time) that she'd fail so miserably she'd end up dying. John knows that.
And of course he ultimately wants Amanda to succeed, but the fact that she's being tested again means that he no longer trusts her to do right by his ideals once he's gone. John knows he has little time left to live, and won't give her the proverbial "keys to the kingdom" if she's not worthy.
I don't know why but I feel super bad for Timothy like he died a slow, painful death. Probably the most brutalist death of saw. And what he did was an accident. He didn't mean to do it so that makes his punishment 10 times worse.😕
Furnace trap
There's one that's even worse, imo: the Brazen Bull trap from Saw 3D. First off, during that test Joyce had to solely rely on Bobby to survive, thus allowing her no autonomy whatsoever. Second, she wasn't even guilty of ANYTHING. She wasn't the one who lied to the whole world about being a Jigsaw survivor (Bobby did!), and she didn't even KNOW that he had lied up until that point. She was an innocent bystander who was used as a pawn to torture Bobby, and ended up being slowly torched alive as a result of his failure to complete the test. Talk about f'd up ☹
@_danicalifornia Why couldn't jigsaw go after Bobby Hes the one at fault, not Joyce.
@@NezukoKamado-li3fv eh, movie logic 🤷♀ but yeah, that's why I consider Joyce's death trap the most brutal of all, as it had two torture components: the psychological aspect of being on the brink of death and having absolutely no agency, and the physical one of being roasted alive. All while having done nothing wrong.
@@_danicalifornia If I was Jigsaw, I would just go after Bobby.
For Lynn: a hood portion of those shotgun shells are expised. The casings are plastic. She couldve cut into them and wiggle the slug or pellets out. Sure the primers would still be active.... but she had plenty of stuff to stuff between the primer and hammer.
I was just about type that
Now I see why they call him slow ass he saves nobody but the judge
Saves him from the trap, dyes cause of wrong place
Honestly this is the only saw film I just cant find to like. So many dumb actions to the point it doesnt even make sense anymore. And I hate the games where you cant win. Removes the challenge and feeling of being like, oh damn I wonder if this person will win.
Bro the video quality downgraded as hell
This one is simple. Learn how to use a key and save the soap box speeches for after. Or at least get the speech out in time. Lastly don’t be a complete idiot and kill jigsaw when he just got done telling you about revenge being bad. Jeff was the dumbest main protagonist and that’s saying a lot for a Saw movie
Jeff is incapable of making good decisions.
Hell yeah! It's Slow-Ass MFing Jeff!!
Dead Meat?
Hmm, id start with not being a petty slow ass Jeff who's concerned with "revenge", and work on getting my hot doctor wife back so we can make more kids? Duh. Then Jiggy wouldn't be after me in the first place. Beaten.
fun fact- Saw 3 and 4 take place at the same time, in the same building
No. Saw 4 takes place in many different buildings all over town. The entire big concept and twist reveal in 4 are about how long it takes to travel between places, and if the main character in the game arrives TOO EARLY (trying to do too much) it sets off the final trap.
ohhhh
Amanda was blackmailed tho. A blackmailed unstable person is just not a good thing in the game. I mean, if the letter was not in the game, it would probably end completely differently. You left that part out, even tho it is kinda important to the understanding of Amanda's demise.
John would have forgiven her if she admitted it. He was willing to let Cecil live if he beat his game and he actually killed his son. Amanda was just there and helped pressure Cecil to be in the situation that killed Gideon.
To be fair I don't think they reveal that until saw 6
What that known in Saw III though? I thought it was revealed in a later Saw film with a Hoffman/Amanda flashback.
@@emilypittman Yeah, the content of the letter was revealed later, but the scene with the letter was there in Saw 3 and you could very well see that it definitely didn't help Amanda. So you can assume there was something nasty. Something that made her very very upset.
@@critik_l I know. But she was paranoid af, so she didn't think about that. I think she just saw it as an end to her relationship with John.
Why do ppl agree to be apprentices? He does not even targets serious criminals. Mostly petty criminals.
Amanda was crazy, Hoffman was basically blackmailed and Dr. Gordon was never really explained. Maybe Saw X will delve into that.
He did go after a rapist in the next film.
And one completely innocent doctor struggling with depression.
@@josephhutchinson9428I feel like that was the only victim who was really deserving of the traps

This is why he's "Slow Ass Motherf*ckin Jeff "
Jeff was the reason why i ended up hating the whole saw series.
Most padlocks can actually be opened with brute force as shown by the lock picking lawyer so slamming the toilet lid on the padlock would also probably work in real life
no they can’t. He picks shittt locks to make fun of. Jigsaw would definitely have used a good lock. Don’t believe everything you see. They are real but only with particularly bad locks.
"those who don't appreciate life don't deserve it"
Hehhhhhhhh?
A twisted truth
There's a problem with that ideology, many in fact. All suicidal people just don't deserve life in that case. A whole lot more people than you think deal with suicidal thoughts and ideation. Plus, everyone has times in their life where they don't appreciate everything they've got. It's just not a good phrase, but Jigsaw is meant to be a morally grey villain so that makes sense for him to say.
@@ettaetta439 put the emphasis on "villain".
@@CyberPunkBadGuy yah, I know he's a villain. I know his ideology is wrong. Some people unfortunately don't. It's an interesting ideology to discuss though.
I like seeing how they could get out but a lot of the solutions on these videos have incredible amounts of hindsight. Like saying the doctor could have tried fight her way out because they wouldn't kill her because they needed her, she was not aware of this at all at the time.
Out of all the players, Jeff is the worst, most useless/selfish one.
i can't ever call this movie saw 3. its known as slow a$$ mfin jeff 😂😂
So wait, the doctor had a chance to ask for anything for the surgery but still couldn’t ask for any PPEs? No gloves, no nose mask or aprons. Nothing?😂 is this a joke?
I hate this new jigsaw. Disgrace really. It’s very much more better that they have a chance to escape. Which forces them to appreciate life which is also how Amanda became the new jigsaw
What I never understood about this film, is Jigsaw's condemnation of Amanda for her unwinnable traps.
Not because they go against his principles, but because he was obviously aware and helped her do it.
I mean, you could write off the key in the bathtub and even the chains traps as having been a case of her not following his design [I presume she was never meant to turn the water on for the bath?, and she could have decided for herself to attach the jaw chain and weld the door shut,] but it's the rib spreader trap that gets me... he designed it to be hooked into her ribs... it's on the tape... so he knew that there was no possible way for her to survive as removing the padlock didn't have any effect on the timer. In that trap he was 100% the one who killed her.
Iirc I believe it’s implied that Amanda altered the mechanisms to be unwinnable and that they were not supposed to be inescapable by John’s initial design; John wasn’t helping Amanda make the unwinnable games, it was just her going rogue to what his games were meant to stand for.
@@Tim7318-3 That does seem to be the implication, but the issue with that is that John's the engineer, not her.
Nothing has been shown that indicates she's capable of such a thing.
For the bathtub and the chain/bomb it's understandable. All she had to do there was toss the key on him with nothing to stop it going down the plughole, and to add a jaw-chain plus weld the door shut to turn those two traps unwinnable (though mathews still found a way out of the first when it was reused on him.)
The big issue is the Angel trap, there appears to have never been any way that trap could have been suvivable due to being hooked into her ribcage.... right from the design stage John should have known that, so Amanda later tampering with it doesn't make sense.
@@AkinokazeHaruichiban you don’t call yourself Jigsaw’s apprentice without having the knowledge and skills to back it up. Also John himself even stated to her that he found out that she rigged those games meaning that the rib cage trap is either not his design or she did indeed alter it to make it so that it was unsurvivable. John designs his traps to be lethal/torturous but not inescapable, therefore it’s safe to say that Amanda was the guilty party that.
@@Tim7318-3 I've been thinking about this since my last response, and I think I know a way they could handle this so that John wasn't involved [a retcon mind you, since I don't think they had other apprentices in mind at the time of that movie.]
While she could put together the parts, I very much doubt she could design and build the trap herself, however, Hoffman is known to have designed and built his own inescapable trap and is going to be involved in the next film.
I think they will use that to say that he was the one who designed and build the Angel and that John had nothing to do with it.
Why do they gotta be so extra with the pig mask though. It’s always so greasy
Don’t forget the rules. Remember Amanda is watching. The test is to decide whether to forgive them or not. If he starts doing other things, then he’s breaking the rules. And as we see from jigsaw. They set up ways to punish people who don’t follow the rules. In this case. He would probably failed his test. And the way out would locked behind him. Freezing him to death most likely. That would’ve probably been the consequences for breaking the rules. 33:19 she literally didn’t have a choice. I don’t think he knows that.
Bro the movie footage quality you out into this video us worse than a 90s movie
If I woke up in a saw trap I'd just be like "whatever man I don't care enough to play this, just kill me"
I hate seeing the person talking face. Kills the mystery
Even if Lynn could inject Amanda with a sedative it would take about a minute, maybe two minutes to take effect. And that's if she can carefully inject it into a vein. More likely she'll have to give her the sedative in an intramuscular injection. Which would take longer, 10 to 15 minutes.
I always hated amanda since her first test 😒
You guys really couldn't even use different font colors huh

yeah, thats pretty much why I hated saw spiral, the traps where designed in a way that even if you "win" you die anyway, making the whole game pretty much pointless and just ordinary murder.
troy and Allison's traps were unbeatable because Amanda would have killed them anyway. also, Jeff should have seen the key around Amanda's neck for that color or his wife should have told him about it at least and John souls have played the tape for Jeff once he was in there.
Jeff got tunnel vision, he doesn’t think things through & is quick to go anger. Lynn has been shot & is strugglin to fight off going into shock. All Jeff had to do really was listen to Jig b/c Jeff has no idea how to get out of this maze death warehouse

😀👍
Dude no way a hacksaw breaks their the chain. It would break like in the first one. Common sense
What happened to the og voicer
if you had actually seen the saw movies you should be well aware that even if they do save the other person, the chance of making them "an ally" is still very unlikely, cause like him they just kind of woke up there and are under the assumption that he had a part in getting them trapped there. trying to rescue a desperate confused person who was just in a trap, they are likely to try and kill you out of panic, once or if you successfully manage to free them
So your odds are:
Try a deadly trap alone
Or
Try a deadly trap with someone who might or might not want to kill you
I’ll take the latter
Troy could have just broken the jar let all the shrapnel fall out and thrown the charge away from him
The sedative idea is dumb for several reasons. A. Amanda is a former/possibly current addict. So her tolerance for most drugs will be high from the start. Not to mention, it doesn't work like in the movies. It will be extremely difficult to inject her quickly enough to not make it all a bigger problem. Even for someone whos experienced at giving injections. Plus, again, junkie, so her viens will be extra difficult to administer to.....
And B. Its a simple hammer. Just put stuff between the hammers and the shells. Done. Normal firearm hammers are not that powerful. She could literally hold them with her fingers....
C. Just bonk her, if thats the route you want to go. Itll be infinitely easier to stop her with an actual hammer, than drugs.

Shout out to Dead Meat!
Don’t go out alone always have some friend with you so you could beat up pig mask 😂
Wait what? John put his nurse in a death trap because she didn't value her life enough? What?
This is what I would alternatively do
1) Chain - A few alternative escapes of that particular trap could be sawing through the rusty pipe or using the blade to saw the hinge of the cuff . He could have also used the toilet lid to bash the padlock hoping it would release .
2) Explosive - The person trapped with hook should only have pulled out the few vital hooks allowing him to kick the table and in turn shattering the jar and then used the table as a barrier to stave off further damage . But what happens to him after could only count on his luck .
3) Television - After he had survived the explosion he really ought to have had a crack at the television that Jigsaw was using . Some older televisions have a inbuilt AM/FM radio . Although this would require intricate knowledge in radio frequency engineering it would be better than doing absolutely nothing . These gadgets are designed to receive signals and not transmit them so the best you could hope to do is attempt to interfere with the contemporary signals but creating a disturbance in the signal with the pattern of an sos in morse which would be ..._ _ _... and hope there is detector van close by .
5) Kidnapper -When the detective was in her apartment and saw her image on the television screen her first instinct should have been to draw her pistol and stand in the corner of the room so she could see any attempt of the kidnapper to advance upon her . And while she was in the corner she should have telephoned the police and used a cloth to cover her face anticipating some sort of sleeping gas or any such trickery .She should also anticipate a disruption in electricity as the accomplice of the kidnapper would disrupt the lights in the room in order to attack her . I would either set the bed on fire to create a barrier against the assailant and to be a source of light in case they disrupt it or I would use the Laptop's brightness to illuminate the room with the latter being a hazard i would opt for this.
6) Acid - When that woman was trapped she should have used the acid to disrupt the mechanism that was responsible for her demise by pouring it on some of the cables attached to the claws .Although the killer was in her presence the entire time so it really was hopeless unless she foiled her kidnapper's attempt .
7) Shotgun - It baffles me on why she didn't tamper with the firing mechanism of that collar or remove the shotgun shells immediately.
8) Judge - My first move would be to take off the pigs from the conveyor belt or foil the mechanism . But either way he must come to terms by burning his child's possessions .
And forget the wife and daughter ! It's there for John . I would ensure he felt all the pain suffered by every victim in 7 seconds and finally I would burn him alive slowly . TO FORGIVE JIGSAW IS UP TO GOD BUT TO SEND HIM UP TO GOD IS UP TO ME .That fellow should have been in a mental hospital the entire time.
I agree with most of them, but the last one is foolish and impulsive. Revenge is never worth two lives, especially seeing as one is a child. He should have calmed down, and talked to his wife before doing anything. Then, he could have saved her life, and his as well. Now, his daughter is left without parents because he was too selfish to stop for ten seconds and think about his actions.
Why did they switch narrators??
What happened to this channel 😢
1:40 A better route would be trying to saw off the pipe from it's base, then try and smash the chain until it's brittle with the gun, and *then* proceed to saw it off.
16:55 im only human after all
The first trap is a nail bomb you can just unsrcew the lid from the jar and nothing happens

@@Sugar_n_SaltI am sorry for ur lost 😢
Troys trap is completely impossible. Its the absolute hardest trap in the entire series. There is NO WAY to get that ring out of your jaw without ripping your whole jaw off, which would kill you anyways due to blood loss. Plus the door is welded shut, there is NO WAY to get out of Troys classroom trap. Its the hardest, most impossible trap in the entire Saw franchise.
I watch all the Horror Movies from u because I'm too scared to watch them alone
Cutting away from the movie every 5 seconds really disrupts this format
He can’t just post the whole movie
A good reason for Jeff being slow is that he's recovering from being sedated. He can't think clearly and is slow to make alot of choices so the theory makes sense. 😮
If Jeff sat there he be fine because as long as John alive his wife was ok the surgery done reguardless of the key so she kills Lynn due to letter Hoffman take a look Jeff there’s a collar around her neck
Ooo please tell me you're doing the saw movies leading upto saw x.
I'm only human after all don't put the blame on me
as twisted as John is, he has a good message at heart lol
Nope. He’s just a psychopath
no he doesn’t 💀
Yeah sure cherishing your life fixes depression any day :|
can u speak a lil more human like
😂
15:35 ; she doesnt need " drugs" to take down amanda.
just fill a syringe and " intentionally" leave an air-bubble. give amanda the poke and down she'll go.
I think that would only work if she managed to get the syringe into Amanda's vein. That would be pretty difficult in a struggle.
Yeah while the door was sealed on the first trap it's actually not too difficult to beat... admittedly he can't free himself fully but I would free enough of myself to move around then move the bomb to one corner, ideally the door, I'd remove the bomb from the nails as it is attached and separate them, then push as many things between myself and the bomb as possible to absorb the explosive
They really named the detective after the main character in boy meets world
Wasn’t the main character named Corey Matthews? His brother was Eric Matthews, I think.
