done over200km on this board already , goes great, bearings need to be ceramic though,120mm cloud wheels go good, 51 to 52kph downhill, flat strong 50kph , over takes everything, done 20kms in it and but havnt gone full range as i get tired before the board, trx2.0 is a leg killer, good stuff
I have never tried this board before, I think this board is similar to the Vestar board; I used to have a Vestar mini, the top speed I can hit is close to 50km/h with 83mm wheels, I believe this board can go much faster than that, with 120mm wheels my weight 63kg, probably would get 60 should be.
I needed a new board for my group rides. The TRX came at the perfect time. Its a good balance of power and tech plus the carbon fiber deck actually feels good. I'm really enjoying the TRX 2.0 🤙
The phantom is an awesome direct drive👍. Lycaon has a PayPal pay later program. If you qualify you can have your board sent to you and enjoy your trx 2.0 while you make monthly payments on it. It might be worth looking into in your case since you just spent money on the phantom 👍

I wanted a onewheel but i went and ordered a second esk8board (bustin board hybrid) the ride anywhere feature had me interested but i came to realize i really enjoy cruising @over 20mph and the over all feel of a skateboard. Im sure a onewheel is insanely fun but when having to choose i went right to another eboard. Its on my bucket list to try a onewheel tho.
Awesome. I've been looking for a review of the 2.0. I'm glad to hear that it is very positive and can't wait to see the results of the range test. I will be happy if it does over 20 miles real world. I ordered the Exway Atlas and wondering if I should cancel and get the TRX 2.0 instead because I don't know when the Atlas will actually ship and I could be riding sooner than later.

Some people who bought from the first batch had motor issues so Lycaon sent new motors to everyone who bought from First batch. My motors are currently in transit. I've never experienced any issues so I'm just getting an extra pair which I will use for a DIY build 🤙
Nice review, but I don't agree on battery upgrade, Sanyo GA 18650 are not great. Basically you pay 1200$ and you are stuck with expensive but low performance parts like the battery and hobbywing ESC. Calling it a smart ESC is a joke, it's a basic ESC with smart turn-on-off
Nice opinion.fersure I prefer samsung 30Q cells. I'm actually a DIY guy and prefer to build my own boards. I just do reviews for fun or when companies send me boards for review. As I've been testing it doesn't seem to perform on low performance level. I cracked 28 miles on the sanyo 12s4p and still had around 30% left. I mean that's pretty good in my opinion and that wasn't even a range test. Can you tell me other boards that will give this value and functionality at it's price range ? I'll review it. 👍 The smart ESC is not a joke it actually useful for some consumers especially those who may have disabilities or a slight injury and can't bend over or pick up the board or for those people that just want to be lazy lol. Also it's still evolving and many companies will eventually make it a standard on all ESC 's with even more smart features. When all is said and done favorite board is still the Duo baord with the XENITH Smart ESC 🤙 thanks and ride safe brotha 🤘
@@Esk8Tech you just mentioned, at this price point better to grab a BkB duo. For a little more there 3 options in my opinion Eovan Carbon (mine already upgraded with a Unity 👌), Mboards new board and Demon 2.0.
Thanks brotha. The AT2 is solid but the trx 2.0 will give you more power, range, carbon fiber deck, bash guard. It's hard to beat at its price point. Both are solid boards but I'd give the trx 2.0 the edge. Better power, higher top speed, carbon fiber, more range 👌 check out my range test video.
Nice video but don’t believe about the good shipping, you probably got yours fast because you’re on RUclips. I’ve been waiting over 2 months for mine; when I ordered it the delivery time was 2 weeks, then as soon the money was out of my account I received an email saying it would take longer due to high demand, even though their site said it was in stock when I placed the order.
Hey great review. How does the mid range torque compare to the BKB duo? Basically which is more powerful throughout the speed range. I know the BKB can go 40mph with the right gear/tire combo but which of the two has more "punch" uphill killer machine kinda performance?

i was a click away from pressing the “pay now” for this board. but end up going for Onsra Black Carve 2 belt version. What sold me for that board is: 6368 motor 1 year warranty not as stiff of a deck changeable wheel base lenght bigger battery even though 12s3p 50.4V, 756Wh, 15AH and the style of the board a little bit
Good choice man. The Onsra black carve 2 is a nice board with a good top speed but I have my Duo board which can crack 40mph and is way more customizable so I decided I'll wait for the black carve 3. I told Fabi that I'm going to need a Smart ESC and a motor guard if I'm going to drop $1800. A smart ESC will eventually be the standard.I requested for these features on the Black carve 3 🤙

Sure. A smart Electric speed controller typically provides functions like roll to start or one button start which means you can can turn the board on and off with your controller. A smart ESC will also have Auto shut off features. The benefit of a smart ESC is basically not having to bend over to power your board on and off or say if you happen to forget to turn off your board the Auto shut off feature will take care of that. It basically allows the rider to never have to pick up your board. Also smart features are evolving so eventually the smart ESC will become a standard in all eboards with many companies trying different features. For me, if I'm Going to drop over 1k on a board I require these features. It's not needed but I think consumers can definitely benefit from it. Smart ESC's are still a new thing. Companies like Exway ,wowgo, Lycaon, and some other companies have already started making smart ESC's a standard for their boards. Hopefully this can provide some insight 👍
Some say the TRX has too little concave for carving and staying on the board. What do you think? Any issues with the board now that you have had it for a while?

Yes I have tested the wowgo AT2. It's a solid AT baord. If your trying to decide between the TRX 2.0 and the AT2 I'd say at this point time the TRX 2.0. may be a better choice. The trx 2.0 will give you around a 30 mile range, a smart ESC, carbon fiber deck, motor bash guard and customizable wheel sets any size from 90mm -200mm. The Wowgo AT2 has a flexy deck with around 18 -22 mile range has good power with a Smart ESC. Both are solid choices. I think it will come down to how you plan on riding but the TRX 2.0 is definitely giving you more for your money. Ride safe 🤙

Man I'm sorry to hear about all those extra charges. It might be worth it to finance the board in your situation. You can try the PayPal pay later program. Lycaon has that option at check out. Basically they run a credit check and if you qualify they send you your baord and you make monthly payments on it. That way you don't have to pay everything up front. Hey! awesome video my question is will I be able to switch out the 120s for 105mm or 85mm orangutan wheels? I have those and would prefer to squeeze more range/ rolling potential as opposed to the 120s which I imagine are quite heavy since my 105s are pretty sizeable lol thanks!
Sup man. Yea you can definitely switch to the 105 cloudwheels regarding the orangutn wheels I believe those are Kegel pulleys so you will need to find Kegel pulleys that fit the TRX 2.0 trucks. From what Im hearing on FB and Instagram the Onsra kegel pulleys may fit the TRX 2.0. 🤙

Yup. When buying boards from China I never pay for air shipping cause it can take the same time as sea shipping. Totally save your $100. I got lucky with the quick delivery. They just happen to have the board at the California warehouse in Ontario which is just down the street from me.
I just did 30 miles with 97mm. I will be shooting video on a real world range test with cloud wheel 105D. Coming soon. The trx 2.0 has excellent range. Perfect for any group ride🤙
I'd say give it at least another 10-12 days. Still has to go through customs check and it depends on how busy and backed up that process is. Hopefully it gets to you soon 👍 it'll be worth the wait.
I think the Zues is awesome. I like it much more than the meepo hurricane. Ownboard really took the time to create a beast and the price point is justified.
Hmmm. Is the knocking sound coming from the motor ? Also the screeching sound can be a number of things. Belts may be too tight, bearings may be on too tight. Try to find the source of the sound.
Will do ill check it first thing thanks man also really quick when I have my board on its back and I push the wheel on the remote to go do both of your wheels spin on mine only one will spin until I put pressure on the one that doesn't then it kicks on idk seems weird to me my boosted never did that
Yea both of my motors spin as soon as I hit the throttle. Based on what your saying it sounds like something may be a little too tight. Sometimes a tight belt will cause resistance or the wheel can be on too tight. Check for belt tension, over tightened wheels, bearings. Anything that would cause resistance. 🤙
Nope. Just keep your knees bended. Get use to the feel of being pushed by motors. Feels like snowboarding on the street. You'll love it and it's so addictive.🤙
Hmm. Did your board work when you got it? When did it stop working? Check the motor cables make sure they are connected properly. Also if you can try to see if the ESC is ok.
@@Esk8Tech it worked when I got it. Rode 4mi just fine. Went home charged it up and now it does nothing. The remote connects just fine. How would I check the ESC
You'd have to open it up. I haven't done it yet, I believe it opens up from the top. Have u sent Lycaon a technical difficulty email? They just sent out new motors to those who has issues. Some people who bought from the first batch had motor issues.

Hey what's up. Actually yes I did. Was interesting. I told them what I've experienced so far. Based on that email it looks like they may try send new Motors to the 1st wave of TRX 2.0 buyers. I'm totally cool with that. Did you have any Motor issues or motor connection issues ?
I totally understand. To replace motors you would have to take the wheels off, and loosen the motors from the motor mount the disconnect the motor cables (left and right) >take the new motors and connect the left and right cable connections again, fit the motors back into the motor mounts screw it back on then on goes the belts, wheels. Turn on the baord and run the motors. That's pretty much the process. It's easier than it's sounds. 👍
Hey David. I think the trx will handle you just fine.its made for the big boys. I'm 6ft 230lbs myself and the power and Torque can throw me off the board. According to Lycaon the decks max load is 440lbs so I think you'd be able to enjoy the trx 2.0. ride safe brotha 🤙

I’ll tell you why it’s NOT worth it. The front hanger slips out of the pivot cup as another RUclipsr has found. This should be impossible and is a major design flaw which could seriously injure you. I’d keep looking.
Yea I'm aware of the issues. I've never had a hanger slip out though. Only things I've experienced were a couple motor disconnects and the horrible AT wheels. Oh I'm always looking. I actually have more boards being sent for review 🤙

Yes. The 2.0 is a good AT board. I have 7inch Evolve AT kit installed. Feels great so I had to keep it around. 🤙

One thing I hate about it when the road condition is wet, you can't use an electric skateboard, even with cloud wheel it is very slippery

Yup. When buying boards from China I never pay for air shipping cause it can take the same time as sea shipping. Totally save your $100. I got lucky with the quick delivery. They just happen to have the board at the California warehouse in Ontario which is just down the street from me.

I just did 30 miles with 97mm. I will be shooting video on a real world range test with cloud wheel 105D. Coming soon. The trx 2.0 has excellent range. Perfect for any group ride🤙
lycaon sent me a email that said order shipped, how long until you think i get the board with air shipping? im located in the united states
I'd say give it at least another 10-12 days. Still has to go through customs check and it depends on how busy and backed up that process is. Hopefully it gets to you soon 👍 it'll be worth the wait.

I think the Zues is awesome. I like it much more than the meepo hurricane. Ownboard really took the time to create a beast and the price point is justified.
Just got mine put maybe 4 miles on it and I have a small knocking sound and some high pitch screeching is that normal???
Hmmm. Is the knocking sound coming from the motor ? Also the screeching sound can be a number of things. Belts may be too tight, bearings may be on too tight. Try to find the source of the sound.
Will do ill check it first thing thanks man also really quick when I have my board on its back and I push the wheel on the remote to go do both of your wheels spin on mine only one will spin until I put pressure on the one that doesn't then it kicks on idk seems weird to me my boosted never did that
Yea both of my motors spin as soon as I hit the throttle. Based on what your saying it sounds like something may be a little too tight. Sometimes a tight belt will cause resistance or the wheel can be on too tight. Check for belt tension, over tightened wheels, bearings. Anything that would cause resistance. 🤙

Nope. Just keep your knees bended. Get use to the feel of being pushed by motors. Feels like snowboarding on the street. You'll love it and it's so addictive.🤙

Hmm. Did your board work when you got it? When did it stop working? Check the motor cables make sure they are connected properly. Also if you can try to see if the ESC is ok.
@@Esk8Tech it worked when I got it. Rode 4mi just fine. Went home charged it up and now it does nothing. The remote connects just fine. How would I check the ESC
You'd have to open it up. I haven't done it yet, I believe it opens up from the top. Have u sent Lycaon a technical difficulty email? They just sent out new motors to those who has issues. Some people who bought from the first batch had motor issues.

Shuts off ? Please send Lycaon an email. You may have a defective ESC. They should cover it.

Hey what's up. Actually yes I did. Was interesting. I told them what I've experienced so far. Based on that email it looks like they may try send new Motors to the 1st wave of TRX 2.0 buyers. I'm totally cool with that. Did you have any Motor issues or motor connection issues ?

I totally understand. To replace motors you would have to take the wheels off, and loosen the motors from the motor mount the disconnect the motor cables (left and right) >take the new motors and connect the left and right cable connections again, fit the motors back into the motor mounts screw it back on then on goes the belts, wheels. Turn on the baord and run the motors. That's pretty much the process. It's easier than it's sounds. 👍

Hey David. I think the trx will handle you just fine.its made for the big boys. I'm 6ft 230lbs myself and the power and Torque can throw me off the board. According to Lycaon the decks max load is 440lbs so I think you'd be able to enjoy the trx 2.0. ride safe brotha 🤙

I’ll tell you why it’s NOT worth it. The front hanger slips out of the pivot cup as another RUclipsr has found. This should be impossible and is a major design flaw which could seriously injure you. I’d keep looking.
Yea I'm aware of the issues. I've never had a hanger slip out though. Only things I've experienced were a couple motor disconnects and the horrible AT wheels. Oh I'm always looking. I actually have more boards being sent for review 🤙
The Exway Atlas really tempts me. Superb build quality if a bit pricey. I guess you get what you pay for. Time to save up.
