- The Aye-aye lemur lives in the jungles of Madagascar, and is probably the world's strangest mammal.
Its ghostly aspect has lent it its name: the word lemur in Latin means "night spirit"
One of the finger on their hands is much longer than the others, and this is used to dig into the bark of trees to extract insect larvae, their main food source.
When they cannot find larvae, they also feed on mushrooms, fruit and nuts.
They have very large eyes, and well-developed senses of both hearing and smell, allowing them to survive at night.
But the aye-aye lemur is in danger of extinction, due to the indiscriminate felling of forests of Madagascar.

The aye-aye is a very cute creature. They live long lives. Aprox 20 years in the wild, they eat like birds do (bugs nuts and fruit) they are not too large, when they are born; they are about the size of your hand! And their hand fits on your thumb print ☺️ as adults they are about 4lb. They are being killed in Madagascar because the ppl believe they kill ppl in their sleep and eat their heart😒…
They also give birth to one baby. Not a few at a time like other animals ☺️
The soundtrack seems like a pretty strange choice.
