I love this song being used in the core because it fits so well and the fact that the monsters are not just core enemies but a bunch of random enemies all throughout the underground really does give the feeling that you've found where they all evacuated to and are killing them all until all that's left in your way is Neo, the Judge and the King himself
It even fits with the theory that this is the PLAYER'S theme not sans due to it being similar to megalomania which doesn't fit at all with sans but fits perfectly with the player during this run especially when being used here rather than sans' fight.

Now that's a good version of Megalovania. I tried to recreate this myself, but I wasn't sure how the process in-game was done. Slowing down the song normally didn't produce the same results, and I wasn't just about to to the incredibly long process of doing a Genocide run just to swap the audio file for Core with Megalovania and than record the in-game music just for this song, so I just moved on.
I'm honestly amazed how good this song turned out like this. That and Burn in Despair also sounded good.
