Ivan, there is a very desperate little scene in the movie, a reaction of Rey, I whish it could be cut out somehow in the final re-edit. When Rey and Chewbacca entre the fight on Crait for the first time, we see how Rey shoots three tie fighters and screaming: "Wow, I like this!" This "Wow, I like this!" is an example of how the movie tells us in a very patronizing way how we should feel. But these words are somehow very alienating because, first, Rey is about to become a Jedi and in my eyes, she would never be happy like this to kill someone or to attend in a war. This is just like Disney wants the audience to feel about Reys appearance. Especially in your version, Ivan, when she gets trained by Luke, this is not what she learned. Secound, her scream is so much like: Yeah, war is cool, let's do war and join in, it makes a lot of fun: Mickey Mouse has entred the movie. It's so not fitting to the whole dark tone of the movie. I would appreciate it, if you could re-edit this little scene. Maybe the others agree!?
actually I see his point, there is a difference between declaring enjoying something and yelping in a tense situation. Rey saying she likes it is demented psychopathic, yelping with a yahhoo! or woooo! is more of a relieving built up pressure
FDH Hi FDH, I know, also Fin screams "wow", when he and Rey killed the tie in Episode 7. Maybe it wouldn't be so alienating (at least for me), if Rey would have just screamed "wow". It than could have been a reference to the other "wows". But I nevertheless stick to my point, because Han and Fin are not about to become Jedis. Han is a smuggler and Fin is somehow naive in the beginning. And at least in the scene from Ep. 7 I would agree with Ryan Caputo: the "wow" is a yelp of relieve after a long chase and situation of tension: we see Rey and Fin being chased by these tie fighters for quit a long time in Ep. 7. My suggestion for Ep. 8 would be, that instead of screaming "Wow. I like it!" the scene could immedately jump to the next appearance of Rey, when she screams to Chewy that they should distract the ties. What do you think?

He took hot garbage & turned into something very moving, like back in 77 SW , it was the 1st Movie I saw in Theaters & SW TLJ was the last, I walked out around the end of the 2nd act of TLJ it made me sick mad confused not what you expect from a SW film but in 1:30 Ivan redeemed the Movie.

Ivan, as someone who saw ANH in the theater as a 17-year-old (back then in the dark ages, it was simply titled "Star Wars"), I was hooked from the moment that star destroyer came in seemingly over my head, and I've been a die-hard fan ever since. Until TLJ. That disgusting excuse for a movie poured gallons of ice water on the fire of my passion for SW. But then...your teaser trailer. It brought a smile to my lips, tears to my eyes, and even an involuntary "Yes!!" with a fist pump at Luke's green lightsaber! Thank you Ivan.

In the passed few months, I haven't been able to watch a single Star Wars thing since the Last Jedi came out. It was terrible. You, with your re-edit, and when Oscar Issac told fans to write their own stories, it inspired me in a deeper way than most things do. For the last few weeks I have been planning my own novel-form Star Wars triliogy. And that most certainly wouldn't have happened if it weren't for people like you reminding me why I love Star Wars in the first place. It's going to take so much more than one bad movie and divisive politics to break this fandom, or as you call it, family apart. May the force be with you, you amazing man. Hey Ivan, Can't wait to see the big fix. Flying Leia left a big hole in my heart when I first saw TLJ so I'll be glad that and many other of the atrocities Rian Johnson implemented will be gone. I have a dream. I would love to get a group of like minded fans together and rent out an independant theatre for a private function to watch it and share the group experience of the re-edit with everyone. Should have felt kylo and han in trouble flies sees Han killed. Kylo meets Ray and fin Luke saves fin and rey epic saber fight kylo luke. The ground breaks kylo survived x wing falls into ground. Luke goes sees Leia consoles. And it ends. Episode 8 Snoke says kylo did u put the cloaked tracker on falcon yes. Show memorial for han thin luke rey and chewy go ach tu. Snoke says kylo gather the knights and find the falcon. Snoke says whee ach tu? Its 14 day travel so rey gets some training. Dj is a first order mole hux contacts him Finn walks in and grabs him takes Leia Poe punches him. They have to leave bc order on the way they start leaving go to crates. Now try trains with luke. He is very up beat. She trains for about 2 weeks all of sudden kylo rens ship is in sky some new cloak tech but luke since it says Ray tell chewy get falcon ready . kylo lands knights come out luke is just kick in ass rey is taking on 1 and doing good half knights get killed. Luke flys with five to falcon with rey. Fly off luke since order heading toward crates and resistance. Kylo blows up the island and back to Snoke. Order is getting close to crates. Falcon flies in starts shooting down at at . resistance is like yea it lands luke rey lite saber tear up the troop ers . resistance sees Luke rey are good go to falcon. Then kylo flying in with 4 knights epic saber fite luke is bought ready to kill kylo. Leia says no luke not Ben. Leia force powers Ben to safety he stands up and looks at mom. Runs to ship hux is with kylo knights are toast kylo flies up to Snoke luke and rey Leia falcon they all fly off and ends. Thsts how I done end of 7 and 8. Guess what u think ? Thanks
I only had one criticism of the trailer...go back and watch the theatrical trailers of all previous episodes of Star Wars. There is a common element in all of them that your trailer lacks. Every single one had, however briefly (including Attack Of The Clones) some sort of spacecraft engaged in battle. Even if it were just a few seconds, you should include it. Keep up the good work, Ivan. I and a lot of other Star Wars are rooting for you.

Did you get any negative reactions? Can't imagine any real star wars fan not liking your teaser; I've watched it probably 30 times & still get a chill down my spine and smile toward the end. =) I've got a friend & his one son who love star wars. Going to record their reactions, but other stuff was going on this past weekend and we never got a chance.

I only had one criticism of the trailer...go back and watch the theatrical trailers of all previous episodes of Star Wars. There is a common element in all of them that your trailer lacks. Every single one had, however briefly (including Attack Of The Clones) some sort of spacecraft engaged in battle. Even if it were just a few seconds, you should include it. Keep up the good work, Ivan. I and a lot of other Star Wars are rooting for you.

I loved the epic music. And loved it when I saw it. I don’t think I’m going to watch the last Jedi again but I love your trailer . But round head done the same but was shittiier.
Did you get any negative reactions? Can't imagine any real star wars fan not liking your teaser; I've watched it probably 30 times & still get a chill down my spine and smile toward the end. =)
