Arrhythmia implies it is off-beat, but still beating. If you gotta blow it up that big to see it, its not a big deal
I've never watched an episode of House but from what I've seen in shorts it's about this guy that's always right, but works with people who always tell him he's wrong
Watching shorts is not watching the show. The show is good, comedy is great even today (sometimes the jokers are even better as they aged well) and lack of context in these shorts generates this kind of comments. House is in almost every episode wrong, or partially wrong after all that's why he chooses, or is given the cases to begin with (House can diagnose normal cases without trying all sherlock style, hence why he finds them boring) His team are literally there to help House via brainstorming ideas and try to correct him, tell him he's wrong and helping him find the answer more quickly, as he sometimes misses the obvious as he thinks to far out of the box sometimes.
fun fact that partially explains both houses position and how his patients can afford him. In the show he is seen choosing the cases he wants based on their difficulty, so the pool he is choosing from is usually people who have already seen multiple doctors with no results. So they likely have the disposable income. Cutty sometimes waives the charges to use those cases as promotional pieces for donors to show the amazing work they do at the hospital, essentially saying "look we did what no other doctors could, and we do this on a regular basis." And as in the real world those donors occasionally get sick and get special treatment so they keep funding the hospital. House is a show piece for the hospital, no other hospital wants him because they don't see the benefit when they have to deal with all the other issues he brings. So yea, rich patients or ones who get their bills paid for them are usually the only ones that can afford house and his team.
Anyone who has ever served in the military, construction sites, or hospitals loves the humor in this show. Perfect ball busting and camaraderie in a tough job based on the simple stereotypes amongst us. Perfect.
Fire department chronicles has a similar humor. Very deadpan, making light of the situation. "Alright you are going to be ok. Once my friend gets back in the ambulance, we're heading right to the hospital. And you'll be FINE." *friend hops in ambulance* "Alright. I got it. I found his severed finger, now let's go." "Um... I'm not missing any fingers." "... What?"

“Foreman, you need to steal this for me!” “Foreman, I need you for breaking and entering! Don’t worry, I’ll make sure it’s a movie worth seeing after this.”
I mean the point of his jokes were that they were offensive even back then. the whole point *was* that he said something and someone else in the room would go "omg why would you *say* that". in order for that dynamic between him and everyone else to work at all it must be clear that what he says is offensive within the culture he lives in and the only reason he gets away with it is that he is played by Hugh Laurie who has enough charisma to commit one and a half hate crimes per month and we'll all just roll our eyes and say fondly "oh House you quirky man you"
@@TheyMadeMePickAName It's not because of his charisma. It's that people know House doesn't discriminate or hate any particular group of people. When he says something it's not meant to be offensive it's because he likes fucking with people. Offense is taken, not given. It's up to the individual receiving the remark whether or not they're offended by it.
@@gagetaylor192that's literally the opposite of what he does, House's entire schtick is that he says wildly offensive/out-of-pocket things that he knows will offend in order to study people's reactions.
That bit where he jumped and then instantly regretted it was so real, i have knee problems and every once in a while i'll hop off of something without thinking and spend the next five minutes regretting my existence
For those who might not know or have forgotten, arrhythmia is the abnormal beating of the heart causing it to be less effective. When House say no-rhythmia, it likely means one part of the heart isn't beating whatsoever causing a disfunction.
@@isaac13d Arrhythmia means irregular rhythm not no rhythm. Yes it's based on Greek but modified Greek. Ergo it is not an Arrhythmia it is a complete lack of rhythm.
@himanisharma3868 there are 4 types of arrhythmias....one of them is pulseless electrical activity ...which means no arrhythmia....I'm pretty sure I know what I'm talking about.

If you have 4 doctors working together to diagnose your issue you must be the president using taxpayers money.
😂
fun fact that partially explains both houses position and how his patients can afford him.
In the show he is seen choosing the cases he wants based on their difficulty, so the pool he is choosing from is usually people who have already seen multiple doctors with no results. So they likely have the disposable income.
Cutty sometimes waives the charges to use those cases as promotional pieces for donors to show the amazing work they do at the hospital, essentially saying "look we did what no other doctors could, and we do this on a regular basis."
And as in the real world those donors occasionally get sick and get special treatment so they keep funding the hospital.
House is a show piece for the hospital, no other hospital wants him because they don't see the benefit when they have to deal with all the other issues he brings.
So yea, rich patients or ones who get their bills paid for them are usually the only ones that can afford house and his team.
Also, his team is usually people he's training.
"Well don't pause it" genuinely seems like something a zoned out person would do
You'd think at some point they'd stop questioning house
I love how you could see it in the other screens (probably just a house thing)
House jumping realizing too late why he made a mistake
Anyone who has ever served in the military, construction sites, or hospitals loves the humor in this show. Perfect ball busting and camaraderie in a tough job based on the simple stereotypes amongst us. Perfect.
Fire department chronicles has a similar humor. Very deadpan, making light of the situation.
"Alright you are going to be ok. Once my friend gets back in the ambulance, we're heading right to the hospital. And you'll be FINE."
*friend hops in ambulance* "Alright. I got it. I found his severed finger, now let's go."
"Um... I'm not missing any fingers."
"... What?"
Dr House is great!
"do you think he's going to make us break into the IMAX before he admits he's wrong" 😂🤣😂🤣
Arythmia is a Greek word,it literally means no-rythmia
Not in medicine. Arrhythmia means irregular heartbeat. I would know, I've had it on and off since I was young.
not him jumping to point when he has a cane he can point with 💀
Bro couldn’t realize that the first time?
I think it's revealed later that House saw it the first time.
realy?@@definitelynotanscp7273
@@definitelynotanscp7273 I’m not sure if it was, but I feel like that should be the case. He wanted them to see it so he made it more obvious each time. But they failed🤷♂️
@@definitelynotanscp7273ok I mean I understand house taking an extra 30-40 seconds to try to get his team to see what he sees, but they're spending so much time switching to different venues that they could be spending saving the patient lmao
@@Slackow house is that arrogant. but his knowledge never failed him.
“Foreman, you need to steal this for me!”
“Foreman, I need you for breaking and entering! Don’t worry, I’ll make sure it’s a movie worth seeing after this.”
I miss the times we could just laugh and not be offended by everything 🤣🤣🤣
The flakes all need to go back into the closets. Life was better when the alphabet people were not calling the shots.
Nostalgia 😊
Yes... Arrythmia... that part of the heart does NOT create a DEPENDABLE UNIFORM RHYTHM...
Arrhythmia is diagnosed with an EKG
"You are wrong House"
No sir, he is never wrong
The medical part is such a huge amount of rubbish, but the acting is just fabulous. I would just love if medicine was like this…
Doctors here everywhere!
Way too dramatic lol.😂
@trapd00rspiderlol, I heard that too and my second thought was, "hang on a second here... Isn't A rrhythmia... Without rhythm...?"
@@isaac13d
Arrhythmia means irregular rhythm not no rhythm. Yes it's based on Greek but modified Greek. Ergo it is not an Arrhythmia it is a complete lack of rhythm.
@@Atom_X. The A in Arrhythmia means without or lacking.
You know an Englishman is committed to a role when he is willing to say 'Legos'
House doesn't no that "a" means without. Arrhythmia means without movement or no movement.
No. Arrhythmia means that heart is not beating in proper rhythm. It is never no rhythm. You gotta work up on your medical vocabulary.
@himanisharma3868 there are 4 types of arrhythmias....one of them is pulseless electrical activity ...which means no arrhythmia....I'm pretty sure I know what I'm talking about.
Technically it means "lacking rhythm", not "lacking movement". A lack of motion is not implied.
are you seriously trying to correct a show that was years ago? nobody really cares..@@thomasjensen6243
That's 2 for one to you bro. Care to refute? I know nothing btw I'm just curious
As someone w nerve damage in a hip, him jumping then INSTANTLY regretting it was golden 😂 sometimes you forget!
Yay, House clips are back in my algorithm.
The line was actually “you’re going to need a bigger boat”
I can’t let that go
This whole show is
House makes some outlandish remarks
Nobody believes him
He’s right
Sometimes a patient or doctor dies
House has pains
Repeat
"you're wrong house"
Literally every episode says otherwise
“Your wrong house!” 30 min later: “wow House you were right”. That’s the whole show
My friend fell in love with medicine watching this show and after a couple of terms in med school he started to realize how different medicine is in real life from what this show depicts
What he wanted do be was a detective instead
“How can you see something not moving if nothing’s moving?” House be asking the real questions…
The mapping of valvular movement isn’t a matter of observation but a quantitative analysis of data. 📈
Love House MD, miss the show.
One of my biggest take aways from this show, it taught me to think outside the box. I'm a nurse, I know not as good as a doctor but I suggested a test to a doctor that wouldn't NORMALLY be needed. Turned out the test showed an unexpectd result. Lession learned, don't stop at typical normal expecated results.
