Yeah, but the Hershey's and M&Ms Xmas commercials have been refilmed or retouched to fit the digital age. The original versions were all filmed in analog vision
The Christmases of the 80’s and 90s were the best times for every kid. (If you grew up during those decades you will understand clear as crystal) The spirit of Christmastime was present and so much fun with anticipation and excitement. Movies such as National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, Home Alone 1 & 2, and A Christmas Story brought families close. The cartoons of Christmas Charlie Brown were a must-see. Today the spirit of Christmas is gone only replaced by the spirit of consumerism.
Stop it. Stop comparing. That’s your problem. Consumerism hit after 18 years old lmfao. 2006 onward it’s been dead. I spent another 5 Christmas in USA before living abroad and it was beyond dead in Las Vegas. That’s with the cold weather! Christmas mattered more back then.
being from the hood, going to the mall during xmas was a magical experience for me … i remember wearing my best clothes to people watch , window shop and maybe eat something from the food court
Ahh back before social media and free calling. The 90s when you had to wait until Christmas to see what your cousin in Toledo was up to. Now we are so connected we have become too unconnected
Imagine that every year is different my grandmother was born in September 19_1906 and the times keep changing my favorite is 1970s 🌨️🌨️🌨️🌨️🌨️🌨️🌨️🌨️🌨️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️ Christmas ⛄🎁⛄🎁⛄🎁⛄🎁⛄🎁⛄🎁⛄
I feel like feeling, and atmosphere started phasing out 2012-2016.. and then in 2017-2021 it just became a new world. Things will never be the same again.
I remember Christmas in the 1990s very well. The commercials, music, the listening station at Target that had samples of Christmas albums during the holidays. I sure miss Christmas in the 90s.
Kids from the 00’s feel this way about their childhood christmases. Kids from the 80’s feel this way about them too. Literally every generation feels this nostalgia because Christmas becomes a little less magical as you grow up - it’s still magical but you don’t live with your parents, you don’t believe in the big guy anymore, you’re hoping to be gifted either sentimental, necessities or if you can afford it luxury goods. Nostalgia isn’t limited to one generation of people. I’m not hating, I’m saying this as someone who believed in Santa in the late 90s/early 00s and recognise my own nostalgia for those Christmases. Watching my gen alpha nieces get all excited for Santa, showing me what they got in their advent calendar, performing at school Christmas shows and writing their letters makes me emotional because it’s exactly the same feelings for them as it was for me. It’s like I’m reliving the joy watching them experience that joy. Watching them enjoy their Christmas honestly brings back the magic for me cause you realise it’s always been there, it’s just your perspective of the world around you that changes.
The huge shopping malls absolutely decked to the nines with decorations is something i miss . My local mall had an enormous fake tree in the center promenade with a thick trunk that windows in it display christmas elf diorama scenes. It was so huge it had a locked door in it so people could go inside for maintenance. Santas picture village was placed in front, huge golden christmas throne. It was magical
We have a ceramic tree like that with the snow on the branches... My maternal grandmother, who passed away in July 1997 (three weeks before my third birthday) made my younger brother and me and VHS tape of some Christmas specials on CBS - Charlie Brown, Garfield, and there was even the three original Wallace and Gromit specials on there as well! The commercials were INSANE and really hit different due to the fact that inflation is really real... I remember one commercial, I think it was for mattresses or something, featured a Godzilla and Mechagodzilla or something fighting each other before they walked off and decided to be friends and the commercial guy proclaims, "Savings until 1998!" Such a WOW moment...
One time in the late 90’s maybe early 2000’s I was at a huge local Christmas light display and the Christmas Coca-Cola Semi trucks drove by, sometimes I think it was a dream.
literally have that exact ceramic christmas tree & I was born in 2004. experienced every single thing in this video. christmas traditions didn’t just stop because you stopped.
Me and my family watch Christmas movies like national lampoons Christmas vacation, home alone and the Santa clause and that seems to do the trick, even though I was born in 2011!
Yes They still play the commercials But I miss the cheese 🧀 one Dad: Wow those must’ve been some cookies you left your Santa. Little girl: I didn’t even cookies I left him cheese.
I have that tree two feet from where I sit right now! Grandma gave it to mom and now I have had it for 16years. Mine doesn’t have a star on top, but it has lights, doves, and candles that are plastic and light up from inside.. pretty sure it’s the same lightbulb from when I was given it.
I was just talking about this very thing to my mother and we missed the Pepsi Polar Bears, and Cokes Santa, and i lost my mind when i saw you included the Hershey Kiss Bells(I always remembered which kiss rang last)
❤The SEARS Christmas catalogue 😢
OMG. I completely forgot. AND the Toys "R" Us catalog! Lol.
YESSSS!!!!
In the UK it was the Argos catalogue. They've not had a physical one for years now. 😢
@HeyLaserLips this pain is being felt around the world 😢 😭
I agree....everything felt magical...hopeful...for some reason.😅
Hershey still has the same commercial with the ringing kiss bells 😂😂
I love that Hershey’s commercial
And I'm glad they do. 😊
The m&Ms commercial played well into the 2000s too 🥹
Yeah, but the Hershey's and M&Ms Xmas commercials have been refilmed or retouched to fit the digital age. The original versions were all filmed in analog vision
Yeah but Hersheys has a percentage of insects and mouse poop allowed in its chocolate too
That tinsel on the tree got EVERYWHERE
The Coca Cola bears!! I miss that one
They were so sweet 😍
Damn.. I remember how excited I was to see those new M&M / Coke commercials.
And Hershey's Kisses are a Christmas classic, like Charlie Brown
I loved the Hershey Kiss commercial. 😃🙌🏻
YESSSSS! Have you seen the new one where the kid interrupts the song steals a kiss? I was unreasonably so pi$$ed over that.
That Campbell’s soup commercial so nostalgic
I still hum "Let it snow" when I eat chicken soup during the winter
My parents STILL put that ceramic Xmas tree out 😂😂😂
Still remember opening up my N64 when I was 9 and I know I'm not the only one
I was 12 but same
I was 8 when I got my forst N64 in 1996. I fell in love with Super Mario 64 immediately 😍
Same! I was 15 and I got Mario 64, Shadows of the Empire and KI Gold. Best Christmas ever

Those movies are a staple at our family's Christmas! Especially Muppet Christmas Carole

@@arsenioseslpodcast3143That’s your problem.😂
I feel so sad thinking about Christmas in the early 90s lots of things have changed in my life.
Same. So much has gone wrong, gotten worse or disappeared.
The massive animatronic displays in the shopping malls.
Yup. Am I the only one who really misses their childhood?
No. Nostalgia happens for generation. ❤
Nope. I miss it every day and wish I could go back 😢😭
All the reminiscing 😢
The Toys R Us Big Toy Book catalogs 😭 my siblings and I circling what we wanted for Christmas will forever be a favorite memory
Snowman was so cold but that condensed Campbell's soup warmed him up. Literally no one buys the condensed soup anymore
I love the fact the Hershey's commercial is still the same all these years later. I see it at least once a year
24 hours of the Christmas Story on TBS 😂😂 We were just talking about this the other day lol
Imma buy a ceramic Christmas tree. I miss Christmas as a kid in the 90s.
being from the hood, going to the mall during xmas was a magical experience for me … i remember wearing my best clothes to people watch , window shop and maybe eat something from the food court

I love your channel and all the throw backs. You are awesome, Tara!
Me too! Always a pleasure to watch!
The fact that Mall Santa won’t make sense to younger generations is kind of sad
You are too much Nostalgia ❤
She dresses like it
She's so beautiful ❤
The TV commercials were the best.

I appreciate that they kept the old Hersheys kiss Christmas commercial. They tried to change it one year but they brought it back
I loved and still love Christmas commercials
Ah the holidays Tara.. ❤

Imagine that every year is different my grandmother was born in September 19_1906 and the times keep changing my favorite is 1970s 🌨️🌨️🌨️🌨️🌨️🌨️🌨️🌨️🌨️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️ Christmas ⛄🎁⛄🎁⛄🎁⛄🎁⛄🎁⛄🎁⛄
I miss everything from the 80s and 90s. Nothing is the same
That Hershey’s kiss “wish you a merry Christmas” commercial was the best! Haven’t seen it in a while though.
Those shiny coloured baubles 🤩
I feel like feeling, and atmosphere started phasing out 2012-2016.. and then in 2017-2021 it just became a new world. Things will never be the same again.
Girl you just in here with your nostalgia like a breeze on a summers day
I love them all 60s 70s 80s and 90s❤❤❤ and I still love them❤ I love Christmas happy holidays everybody 🎅 🎄
I remember Christmas in the 1990s very well. The commercials, music, the listening station at Target that had samples of Christmas albums during the holidays. I sure miss Christmas in the 90s.

The tinsel on the tree!! 🎄🤣🤣🎯
You are making me sad and making my back hurt. 😭🎅

So pretty
OMG I freaking love this chick. 😆 The tree is epic
I remember my grandparents having the ceramic Christmas tree in the 70’s and beyond. Just bought myself A nightmare before Christmas ceramic tree.
Absolutely right, it was a magical time; the innocence has gone from Christmas.
I could not agree more. I'm trying so hard to recreate that same feeling I had as a child from my child.
Christmas in the 60s was great.
OOOOH I SO MISS THE MALLS FROM THE 90'S 💖💫💖💫
My buddy still has that ceramic tree & it lives beside his couch where he games daily, it's a trip everytime I go over during the holidays.
I think It’s our job as adults to make it feel like that for the youth now. We’ve had our magic.
im a 2000s kid and remember the Christmas commercials and that Christmas tree thing
I loved that ceramic tree 😻
We had those trees in the early 70’s as well 😊
That Hershey kiss commercial still airs
Coke polar bear was my favorite commercial ❤❤❤
love seeing that beautiful face x
Who else loves this lady😂❤
One time in the late 90’s maybe early 2000’s I was at a huge local Christmas light display and the Christmas Coca-Cola Semi trucks drove by, sometimes I think it was a dream.
I’m so smitten .. with her
Very true, my grandmother had one of the ceramic Christmas trees with the lights, they were awesome
literally have that exact ceramic christmas tree & I was born in 2004. experienced every single thing in this video. christmas traditions didn’t just stop because you stopped.

They still play the commercials
But I miss the cheese 🧀 one
Dad: Wow those must’ve been some cookies you left your Santa.
Little girl: I didn’t even cookies I left him cheese.
Yeah I agree fully…nowadays there’s just no magic…it’s so damn depressing
I have that tree two feet from where I sit right now! Grandma gave it to mom and now I have had it for 16years. Mine doesn’t have a star on top, but it has lights, doves, and candles that are plastic and light up from inside.. pretty sure it’s the same lightbulb from when I was given it.
A lot of that is way back to the 60s 70s especially the ornaments the tree itself and that ceramic tree. Commercials came later
I still have that tree! It's on my desk at work right now
Santa cokes are back!!!!!!!!
I worked at Goodwill packing online orders for the auction website. People will pay like $300 for one of those old ceramic trees.
I love your channel.
I saw that Christmas tree at TJ Maxx and I definitely want to get one.
Also the Britney Spears Pepsi commercials.
Ha! I still have that ceramic tree!!! I put it out every year
When you have money to spend it does hit different.
The Christmas commercials was also in the early 2000s
Omg!! I have one of those ceramic trees today; my Grandma gave it to me a few years ago and I still put it out lol
It’s all relative, I feel the same way about the 70/80s
I got the tree at a CVS a couple of years ago
I miss the 90s but not school 😊
WOW my parents are never letting go of the 90s
I like the Polar Bear Coca-Cola commercials the most
I did grow up with that exact ceramic tree 😁
Xmas in the sixties and seventies..even better..
I was just talking about this very thing to my mother and we missed the Pepsi Polar Bears, and Cokes Santa, and i lost my mind when i saw you included the Hershey Kiss Bells(I always remembered which kiss rang last)
The commercials oh my gosh, yes
Love it❤❤
We had that ceramic tree. Wish I could find another one. But since the zombie apocalypse everything is gone.
Tinsel was on EVERYTHING and Everyone. It gets stuck on you and you had to literally use tweezers to get that ish off
I agree with you on this.
