I dont mean to rain on your video but I went 8.9@153 8 years ago in my MK3 with a completely unopened 2jzgte non vvti from an aristo @ 3500lbs with a 6766. The motor was in my grey car from 2008-2017(10 seasons) and was a street/strip car then and ran the index classes up here. The engine/turbo setup is still with us in my street mk3 just living an easy life with manual trans now.
@paytonjz I gotcha. Im out of touch. We put the gsc s2 cams in for 2017. We had it going 9.5 on the stock cams but the car was heavier then, had 2 complete fuel systems an older 67 and a gear vendors. The bigger cams came with the 6766 and a little weight reduction to 3500 with me in it .
@@joliroger4 nuts man. We got a 10.15, thought something was hurt(wasn’t) and built a motor anyways. Was shooting for 9s and probably would’ve gotten there eventually but 9.50s and then 8.9s. All at 3500 is nuts. I think we got the car close to 3200-3300, need to weigh it. Thanks for the comment man, I knew your car was fast but I hadn’t looked that far back, it’s always been fast.
@@paytonjzthat blown out gasket was a big handicap to work around. Youre doing a good job. Youve got good people in your corner so continue to listen to them and I think youll see good results. ATF speed or whoever makes that converter should be able to provide you with low profile bolts if you dont want to grind yours.
@@joliroger4 it sure was. Learned a lot since then. I appreciate that man and yes sir, good people and a solid community including you. We’re just about that, car fired up today but behind on videos. Also got some lower pro bolts so all good now
F yeah, new video right before class 😂

@@paytonjzanytime man! It’s making me want to work on mine more!

Mostly for clicks(which I normally don’t do lol) but no way like stock cams too??
