The little "nice" on pick 169 was great 😂
Where's QB Jordan Travis from Florida State, they need another QB named Jordan in the room!
I recommend drafting Jordan Jefferson and switching him to qb
love jordan travis
If the Packers passed on Bo Nix where they're picking in the first round, it would be crazy. They need a franchise QB to come in and compete, and Love is mid at best. Joe Milton III would just be a wasted draft pick.
@@tomcollins5112 your trolling right ?! you have to be, please tell me its a troll you cant possibly be serious 😂
@@Alpha-MaGa No, I'm serious, Love is mid. There are better quarterbacks in the draft this year.
0:26 I like how distressed he sounds after he drops the pen, only to resume talking normally once he catches it again lmao
Ray Davis in the 3rd is CRAZY
Love the Dylan Laube pick. Great last name!
Needed to add one more O line and one more secondary. Started out hot but started to go away from some major needs towards the middle. But hey, it's a mock day draft and mocks are for fun. GoPackGo 💚 💛 💚 💛 💚 💛 💚 💛 💯
One more mock the morning of draft!
Can wait for Tom’s 1st round pick prediction to go to the lions
I'm just ready to see what players Packers don't get for Tom to lose his mind. Not taking Brian Branch will always remain rent free in my head
Packers got out with Jayden reed, dontayvion wick,Karl brooks so the brain branch was a win - win trade
@@bradyarmstorng4162 exactly, with hindsight I make that trade 100% every time. Brooks and Reed already probably would be drafted in the first round in a redraft and Wicks would go in the second. First round pick traded for 2 firsts and a second.
I’m happy we did not get him
I'm still mad that the Packers traded out of the first and took kevin king in the second over TJ Watt
@@screamindetroit4654 what bout last draft
Jordan Morgon from Arizona would be a great addition to our offensive line
I did a mock recently where I took Barton at #25 and Morgan fell to #41
@@doofapotamus2323 Barton is being projected as a center or guard in the NFL, so it would make better sense to draft Jordan Morgan.
Jordan Morgan is a Packer! LFG
Wow what a pull
@@KamikazeJustice But I got both... Lol Barton would have played C and Morgan would have played RG, both with the versatility to play LT if needed. Obviously it didn't pan out that way but Morgan is still a great addition
So stoked for this draft. I think it's going to be crazy with a couple of huge trades because of the amount of qb's
If no one trades up to get the 4th QB, hope that there is a second run from 11 through 14 to take JJ, Nix, and Penix... Packers would be in heaven as all those defensive players get pushed down to them.
Payton Wilson makes sense in Green Bay because he played for the NC State Wolfpack, so he's going from the 'Pack to the Pack. Go Packs Go!
Only for I don’t think his play style fits our identity or what we need (too small and can’t play the run)
Just remember that if your team doesnt draft the player you wanted, its for a reason. Tom wanted Darnell Washington last year and he sucked this year.
He was always gonna be a project player
Did he suck though isent he already one of the best run blocking tight ends atleast
@@walkertrokey3922 he wasn't that good
Love the pen trick. I’ve missed you Tom GROSSI
O line depth ? They will be drafting more than one. Fricken Fracken Tom. D grade final Mock
Wouldn't mind if they took 2 ots and 3 ogs.
It's like he completely forgot about the O-Line after the first pick. We're pretty thin and we need more depth there. We already have lots of depth at RB and WR. While I don't like the chosen players, Tom did draft positions of need early on but the middle to late round picks are real head-scratchers.
This is great!
Nice teaser there having Wilson in the photo for Barton. Two ACC DAWGS to start would be a great haul.
Laube is a big draft crush for me
Same! I'd love it if we got him. Was so happy when Tom called him out.
Payton Wilson is also 24. If Edgerrin Cooper is there and they take Wilson over him I would be shocked and disappointed. Love the Graham Barton pick and Bullard. I think they take a DL before they sniff a RB or even 2 RBs as Tom did here. Also don't see them drafting a WR that high because if you do one of our current WRs would have to hit the IR before the final 53 or someone would get poached off the practice squad so gutey probably isn't doing that. Also probably drafting more than 1 o line.
Ding, ding, ding! Cooper at LB!
Been waiting on this
9:34 Jordan Love is planning a Darkness Retreat.
This is the best podcast out there period!
Wow, we need LT depth more. I can see the packers getting lbs in the later rounds and signing a lot of free agent draft linebackers
YES, PLEASE GIVE US PAYTON WILSON!!! I'm a Packers fan and a NC State alum. I've watched him for years. He's a monster. I would make our defense be truly explosive!!!
I like him but I’m too worried about him vs vs the run
I don't see Gute drafting 11 guys. I imagine he packages some picks to move up to get guys they have circled.
I actually like the idea of grabbing Milton if he is available in the 7th. Even if we don't end up using him, if we can fix his accuracy issues, he could be a trade piece down the line that would be worth more than the 7th we spent to pick him.
Like Brunnel and hassleback.
Braelon Allen + Jacobs + Dillon =
triple hammerhead backfield
Don’t need another power back. Would like Trey Benson (fsu) or Jaylen Wright (Tennessee). I like Allen but he kinda got by off purely physicals and isn’t an actual good RB when it comes to vision
I think Tom really wants Cooper DeJean
Been wating
I want Kool Aid
Only two weeks ago, we were two weeks away from the draft! Time times indeed
Fun fact Payton Wilson is the brother of Bryse Wilson who is a pitcher on the Milwaukee Brewers.
I am so happy you want Rice because that means my Lions are going to grab him 🤞😂
Instant A++
BTW, nice job not breaking down when saying "after they got rid of Aaron Jones". I don't know if I could've said that without a hitch in my throat.
Ohhh we’re almost there…. Ooooohhhhh living on prayers
I have to admit, I kind of disagree with most of your picks Tom. I would love Barton, but I doubt he will be there so I see the Packers draft best available player, which will probably be a defensive player. Fingers crossed that 6 QBs are taken before 25 by the desperate to push a good one down!
With the switch to a 4-3 and as little as the Packers play in their base D, ILB isn't as big of a need as you think. I believe Edge and DI is actually more important for them. With about 90% of my mock drafts, I am getting Newton dropping to the Packers, who I would take in a heart-beat to play along side Clark. 50% of the time I am also getting DeJean, who instantly fills a need and may lead to a FS taken at the bottom of 2 (like Bullard) if you want him playing CB or playing 3 Safeties for Nickle and Dime. Again, everything changes based on who is available... or if the Packers say screw it and move up to get someone like Barton. I do know /I/ really value those 2nd and 3rd round picks, but I have no clue if the Packers do.
I do agree that the Packers could draft a LB at some point for depth on day 3, but probably not till the end of Day 2 at the earliest. I could see a WR taken at some point and a RB taken at some point... as the finial pick in the 3rd or Day 3, just depends on who drops to them. Again, the D is a mystery and the draft is insanely unpredictable.... who knows if the Packers will bundle some picks to move around the board and who they actually value.
Who knows, this is all speculation, but hot damn, I do love the Draft.
With Grossi posting his wish list for the Packers, The Bears, Lions and Vikings are all like "Ok, so.. how we colluding this year?"
Barton I’m so high on!!! Definition of versatile and could immediately start over Sean Ryan
Wilson over cooper? Idk bout that but he’s great no doubt
I would give this mock draft a B+. I like the positions you picked early on, though not necessarily the players. The mid to late draft picks were real head-scratchers. You completely forgot about O-Line after the first pick.
Here's my 3-round mock draft. I anticipate Gutie packaging a lot of picks to go up in the first round (or maybe second round). That, however, is outside of my ability to predict, so my draft only show the picks we currently have. I've probably done like 50 mock drafts in the past month, so the following picks are actually realistic, including the first one.
Round 1: Cooper DeJean, DB. Cooper is the most obvious pick. If the Packers are concerned about missing out on him, they can trade up to get him. Cooper isn't really much of a boundary corner in a man coverage which the Packers expect to use. More likely, Cooper will play at the nickel/slot-corner position. If Cooper is drafted, I see the Packers using a 4-2-5 package in normal 3-down situations.
Early Round 2: Payton Wilson, LB. They need an immediate starter. They have Quay Walker and then Isaiah McDuffie, who played as a back-up last year. Outside of that, they don't have much else. No linebackers are taken up to this point in any of the mock drafts I've done, so the Packers can pick whoever they want here.
Late Round 2: Tyler Nubin, S. They need an immediate starter. Anthony Johnson Jr. isn't gonna cut it. Like linebacker early in the second round, safeties haven't been drafted yet in all mock drafts I've done, meaning the Packers can pick who they want at safety. They might choose someone other than Nubin. While McKinney is skilled enough to play either free or strong safety, he's a better fit at free safety, meaning that he'll play in the field rather than in the box. Nubin is more of a field player than a box-stacker. We'll probably need a run-contain strong safety to pair with McKinney.
Round 3, first pick: MarShawn Lloyd, RB. I don't trust AJ Dillon as RB2. AJ Dillon can play as a bruiser on short downs or as a full-back. However, he's proven that he's can't switch sets with RB1. He lacks the agility and foot control to go for big yards consistently. That's why the Packers need a legit RB2 who can also play as a pass catcher on play-action which LaFleur calls a lot.
Round 3, second pick: Dominick Puni, OT. While Puni is not a replacement of Bakhtiari, he can become a nice depth piece. I anticipate the Packers drafting a few more O-Line players in the 4 and 5th rounds. Puni is projected to be a developmental player who can become a starter in a few years. He fits the profile of what the Packers like.
I’m pretty stoked! I got my 1st Packer Draft hat and going to be wearing my Packer jersey!
Most drafts have a return/receiving running back, LB in second, S/CB in third. Honestly I wish Green bay had resigned Love so we would know what Clarks situation will be. Odds are we will see DT/ED in first 3 picks, I WANT DeJean at 25, but It would not sock me if he gets picked If green bay trades out of the first for Two more seconds. Maybe Texans or Carolina want to move up, If we Don't see "The guy" we should trade out and get Depth. Turning 25 into 42,59 or 25,91 into 33,39,65. Most of the Bulk Line depth pieces have value at like pick 55-100 or will be off the board anyway. This Would give us the OL/DL depth we need while Keeping the LB/S/RB picks we have in top three needs. Also I think Rice is a Great shot in the dark for Green Bay, I also wouldn't Mind Trotter jr, Gore jr as 4-6th round shots.
Knowing the packers, they probably watched this video just so they can have a game plan to disappoint Tom😂.
I like most of the names. Round 2 felt a bit rich but it also depends on the board.
I would be beyond surprised if we come out of the weekend with only 1 OLine.
While I watch: is the GPS podcast not uploading to Spotify anymore? Last one I see is from December.
I love this draft. Only change is make is maybe DI earlier. We need more front men
I love, how GB is building it's team. Solidify your O-line and in 1 or 2 years go for your franchise QB, great thinking there!
Bur Ray Davies? Isn't he too old? Will he still be able to sing "Lola"?
This just in: Tom Brady has left retirement and he now has the number one overall pick.
I don't actually want a LB in the 2nd round, I just want us to pick like 4 of them in round 3-4 and shoot 'em out in camp. Also would much rather barton over dejean, even if both are there.
I like Barton for my Seahawks too. Maybe we’ll pull another JSN 😏
Love the Joe Milton pick! I watched him when he was at Michigan. Guy is big, fast, and has a HUGE arm. I would love to see him as a developmental guy.
He is arguably the worst QB I’ve ever seen at the college level. Cannot complete short, middle, or deep passes. Terrible footwork, freezes under pressure and struggles in all facets of the game. Should be playing Arena Football because at least he’s athletic.
Blake Corum will be a Packer 😊 lol
Love the Brendan Rice pick.
Sad no one from Iowa is joining the team this year.
Logan Lee?
As far as receiving backs go, Tyrone Tracy Jr. from Purdue is one of my guys in the class - one of the best YAC backs in college football, whose profile reminds me a lot of Rachaad White or late-career Cordarrelle Patterson.
I want the Lions to take Cooper DeJean (whether via trading picks or just having him fall into our laps) just to make Tom furious.
We’ll just make them furious by winning the division again, let them cook
I see lions trading down and getting zak zinter for depth in the second round
Ok this must be the craziest mock I have ever seen. 2 RBs, 1 WR, and 1 QB ….. come on man. I see us drafting ,
2- Inside LBs
2- DL
3- OL
2- Safety’s
2- Edge Rushers
GB never drafts for the next current year, but for the future.
Have you ever watched a Packers draft? There is no chance with this number of picks they don't grab two RB's and a late-round QB.
Letttsssss gggooooooooo!!!
You have a bunch of free time, you should do a complete draft for every team 😁
Tom Grossi -> 🥇🏈🇺🇸
Omg that professionalism after missing the pen catch
Barton is sneaky good if we get him we lucky
Cooper DeJean first round then Max Melton in the second round would be fire
Cowboys catching strays💀💀
I kinda want Chop Robinson for us ngl
w video tom
One day more....
Also, Tom, I thought you were future WR #1. That call will (probably) come. Someday.
Dylan Laube is Ryan Schlipp’s favorite running back (Packernet podcast)
JPJ is the best interior line prospect in this draft hands down. If he's avalable and we still take Barton it's going to be a Josh Myers over Creed Humphrey all over again
Hey Tom do you not think the Packers need more o-line help?
Honestly this would be a dream draft if they were to land these guys. I like so many of them you mentioned. I love Barton and Wilson at those spots, and Rice could be a steal round 4 if they snatched him there. He plays violent at the WR position similar to Deebo, which could be a great fit for Matt LaFleur's physical offensive play style. Excited to see who our new Packers will be!
Luke McCaffery over Brendan rice, but the pack is deep at wr, they need ol, s, lb the most.
i’m from UO- Jackson is legit
Can’t wait for the Packers to draft none of these players!
Tom "Pen Trick" Grossi
A QB?! In this economy? I'm shocked Tom. But imagine, Jordan gets mad and wants a trade because of it? Imagine the possibilities!
Packers are popping champagne if Barton is available at 25
GO PACK GO
Need more OL!!! Gotta come out with 3 IMO…
How’s it gonna feel when you get the call tomorrow
Now for them to break your heart, yet again.
I talk a lot of smack. It football. That's how it goes. But I want you to know that your effort in bringing us all these videos is appreciated Tom. See you at the draft next year buddy 🤘
5:34 I reelly want Bralon Allen on the packers he my favorite Wisconsin player
I would be VERY surprised if they draft less than 3 Olinemen
payton wilson is massively inflated by pff's terrible big board, I would be very surprised if he goes anywhere near 41. edgerrin cooper seems like a much better fit for the packers anyway.
is it too late to draft Safety?
Love good ole Joe Milton he has the tools to be good just accuracy is his biggest issue
I've said this before and I'll say it again, I want to see the Lions jump the Packers and take DeJean just to see Toms reaction
I hope they do. DeJean over hyped
We need another WR in the top 3 rds
With the 25th pick, the Green Bay mother lovin' Packers select Taulia Tagovailoa, QB Maryland
BAD tom youre not allowed to take barton hes going to PIT 😂 jk
If we we take Payton Wilson over edge in cooper I might kms
No Wilson. You don’t want a linebacker with shoulder issues
The cool thing is you’ll probably be announcing one of these names at the draft for the Pack 🧀
Hey Tom! Dallas Gant is actually my cousin!! I would love if he was drafted by any team but especially the Packers. Go Pack Go!! 🧀🧀🧀
I live 5 minutes from unh and Dylan laube is the GOAT
I hope they go oline more than once
Kinda expected a K late in the draft especially the one from Missouri
I feel like ppl are underestimating josh jacobs as a receiving back
Normally I hate mock drafts because all they are is clickbait trash that “analysts” throw together for people to click. However I will watch yours and I am excited to see who you want the packers to take
W
Wasn't a big fan of some of these selections, watching tape, Laube is probably more of a UFDA type
Milton I'm higher on. I think he's going 3rd round
