Is CS2 Dying? I say NO! Thanks new CS2 Workshop Maps a la Valve and the CS2 community, 2200 workshop maps have been made so far, many of which already look better than the most intricate CSGO maps.

bro where did you find the Zombie escape servers. The only ones I can find are in the community tab and they're just a bunch of russian servers

Pls help. I can't load workshop maps because the bsp files are missing. (I already tried resubscribing to the map, reloading the game and deleting the rest of the workshop file.) Is Csgo even the right thing or should I play CSS or CS2 (ramp bugs annoyed me)? And am I doing smt. wrong? Why can't I find maps like 666? Many questions and I would appreciate help mates

CSGO is really broken rn and not all maps are available anymore. In CSGO you could also join a server that still exists to get maps and play surf.

Can someone pleaseeeee help me with connection issues. I cannot for the love of god connect to Cs2 surf servers. every time I try to click on the join, I just get a connection error. does CS2 have fastDL? or do I have to manually donwload the maps off workshop? what am I doing wrong?

you can try connecting via IP in console
also if you are on linux there are known issues with community servers
other than that try using cs2browser.com and check more servers

the new lighting works great for msot maps, but imo some maps just lose their vibe. I don't wanna play on a highly saturated cache for example, just doesnt feel right.

Of course not, the CS2 Workshop is still in its infancy... there is almost no original or scratch-made content in Source 2 other than ported CS:GO maps.
Nice video, but the problem is Valve and all the gambling. Not a very good vibe to the game, all about competition.
i'm not very happy with the new graphics. it looks great for workshop maps but visibility for me is at an all time low. i have essentially quit the game due to being unable to see people fast enough, and when i do see them, the details on the characters, especially on CT's are too hard for me to make out to aim well in real time. a problem i did not have in csgo. i wish there were more graphics options. my reaction times have suffered, my ability to aim at the right part of the body has suffered. the game is unbearable for me. luckily, i like surf so i can just play source, don't like how i have to pay for a subscription on ksf though, only to have the same experience i would have on most other servers. when workshop maps get cooler i'll probably only be hopping on cs2 for those sadly. i was getting back into mm months prior to cs2 announcement too...

Imagine needing VIP to watch WR bots when you want to see a run. But nah, you have to wait for shit fucking bonus WRs which are irrelevant. And some maps have a fucking 3+ min bonus!!!!
Be like other servers where you can watch bots from whenever lol.

Exactly. If I want pretty graphics, I can play any other modern AAA game or Minecraft with pathtraced shaders. CSGO was always about COMPETITION. The graphics were INTENTIONALLY simple to maximize visibility, and when they added player skins, they added a contrast booster that adjusted the contrast around players, effectively making the graphics worse around players, simply because the contrast boost made it easier to see people.
Now we need to play the same exact competitive game in a world that has 1000x better graphics, which includes vivid colors, blown out lighting for no reason, and map lights that cast gigantic shadows (effectively nerfing peeking on certain angles at certain spots on certain maps)... for no reason at all other than to swoon newer generations into playing a game that looks more appealing. People who understand the fundamentals of CS understand why CS2's graphics are grossly unnecessary, but that doesn't matter, most older generations have moved on and most of the people currently playing are younger generations who are just OK with anything. It is truly, truly sad.

@@h4ze979 i was never a fan of cod or battlefield newgen graphics, it was cool but i didn't care for it and was glad those graphics weren't in any games i still played. i definitely didn't want that for cs2, it's not quite as bad, but they all have a similar theme. theme being NOISE, spam noise. detail characters well and then ADD NOISE so it's detail is blurred and 'realistic'. that's what i think the problem is at least. not really sure what else it would be. i'm no genius at describing the problem but it doesn't take a genius to say, this problem wasn't a thing in csgo and that now, i am struggling immensely to see in cs2. it's funny too because you can see it in my leetify stats. i'm mostly just running around in both games but in csgo i can see it averaged out in games games where i'm just full on throwing w/ friends and when i'm not is around +8.6 in csgo. in cs2 it's +2.9. that's a pretty fat jump. whenever i mention huge visibility issues as they happen, people around me often go huh yeah wtf, that guy was pretty hard to see if they're spectating. something that once again, did not happen in csgo.
it's extra annoying too because this is entirely a subjective issue, if your eyes can process colors and shapes better for this game than csgo. you will not have the same issue and you will not be able to understand the problem that people with this issue face. you can't imagine it as you can not see it.
I can confidently say, Valve killed CS with 2. Why get rid of a perfect game? Dont fix what ain’t broke CSGO was great. I haven’t touched cs2 in a while cause it’s just a clusterfuck.
Quick edit. I don’t think graphical changes to make the game look pretty will revive faith in cs2? Game doesn’t need to look pretty lmao, but run well.

Don’t dickride cs2, it’s generally a terrible game, atm. Still another couple of years before it’s polished I guess. But now, it’s complete trash. :)
@chasinfoosha1583 I'm not gonna dickride since I don't like the game anymore, but because of other issues. The problem I have with your whole statement is the "killed" part, and then the "csgo was a perfect game." both of these statements are illogical, cs isn't dead and csgo was not perfect for many different reasons, some of these reasons cs2 faces and some others are because of source 1, claiming csgo was a perfect game though is a outright false statement that people use as a blanket term to "justify" why cs2 is bad.
