To : NorCal Fire Buff109, I truly appreciate this and that goes for my husband too, we where in California for a wedding for my son who moved to California! And my husband that he too was a FDNY and asked a firemen if he could stand next to the fire truck and showed his FDNY badge and they let him and he too saluted to the fallen Sheriff Officer! Like my husband, he kisses me and the children before he goes to the firehouse in the Brooklyn and he told me that he loves to do that alot to us! Because you may never know what will happen, he goes to work alive and comes home alive and some don't come home...it's always great to get a hug and a kiss from your husband, wife, or your children, and tell them how much you love them! And even though my husband wasn't a Sheriff Deputy Like Mark Stasvuk, he always says a prayer when he sees a house fire and a Police and Sheriff responding to a emergency of some kind! I'm very proud of my husband for showing alot of respect to those who have fallen while on duty, and thats why he always tells us that he loves them and he had a tear running down his face and stood at attention and proudly saluted to Sheriff Mark Stasvuk and his family!
