Please let Gordon know that it was a pleasure to watch a proper craftsman doing that work....
Just like watching my Father, who was an A Grade Certified Ford Mechanic...
And your head cover you restored, with the revamped timing cogs.... lovely jubbly....🤙🙂🇳🇿✅
I just can't get over the amount of genius in this video.. from the ingenuity of inventing the engine in the first place, to the wealth of knowledge contained in Gordons head! I'm 42 and would love to be given an apprenticeship regarding engineering! Super interesting! Thanks gents!
I could watch Gordon for hours his knowledge has taken a life time to learn and pass on. Thank you Adam.
Have to say I love watching Gordon, you can’t put a price on experience 🙌🏼👍🏼
I'm looking forward to seeing this engine running!
Me to!!!
I enjoy your videos so much, I get disappointed when it's near to the end😂😂😂
Hat's off to this bloke he no's his stuff. Old school all the way
You are so lucky you have Gordon's expertise and experoence , worth his weight in gold . You cant go far wrong with such a great engine man👍😎
5k used to sound like loads. Now it just sounds like a medium sized bill after Covid been and gone and F’d used prices and garage availability and garage bills. Seams cheap for major engine work. Nice series.
Gordon is a machine 😮what a guy love watching this kind of video it hits different and makes you appreciate the craftsmanship involved engine building top video 📷
Even if you been to collage and passed exams to be a mechanic the wealth of knowledge Gordon has you can’t buy
You know that engine when it first sparks in to life Adam you be buzzing there is nothing like that feeling of all them parts living again that’s why I love to build a engine 😊
Great to see a top engineer in Gordon his knowledge and methodical patience is key to top engineering and well done Adam in creating a great video for a very interesting video which people will learn from
Once again I couldnt believe how quick the time passed! Im not even a Ford guy but I do love a Cossie. Gordons prices are crazy good too. Thats alot of quality work and expertise for under £700. 👍🏼
Head looks mint. Could listen and watch Gordon all day, 40 years of top level expertise 👍🏻
Thank you Adam and Gordon, it is so satisfying watching a master carry out his craft. Excellent video, really enjoyed it.
Gordon is a dying breed of experienced craftsmen & proper time served engineer etc.
Watching Gordon and Barum building the cossie engines. Is very entertaining.
I was trained by a technician around 21 years ago and if I mute the video it’s like watching him work. They don’t make um like they used to. Top top work here guys. Gordon you’re a legend.
Nice to see using a proper stem seal tool.
You can use a socket, but high chance it distorts the top of the seal = smokey cosworth.
I liked part 1 but this was really good seeing Gordon doing things right.
What an absolute pleasure to watch a proper old school engine builder at work 👏
Loving all the information and hats off to Gordon 👍
Excellent video Adam really enjoyed watching Gordon learned a bit more excellent videos recently.
Torquing those bolts at the ends, quality, all of them were only a couple of degrees off spec from his previous hand tight. What hand feel.
Professionally put together. Enjoyed watching him disassemble and reassemble it. Excellent content keep it coming bonny lad 👍🏻
Wow knowledgeable man Gordon, what a build cant wait to hear the Cosworth purr
only £700 for all of Gordon's work sounds extremely reasonable. Clearly a time-served expert. Happy Cossie
Another great video Adam and a good open heart surgery synopsis rebuild breakdown to the cosworth
Dudes giving up all his secretes! Great videos Adam.
Thank you Gordon.
Thank you Adam.
Nice one, been looking forward to part 2!
Thats all that cost?? Wow. Expected more. Amazing work gordon.
Nice to see this. Just finished full rebuild from block up. Cost me 2500.and I did it myself. Cvh back to school. 😊😊😊
Ahhh this takes me back, during the 90s I was doing cossy head gasket and rebuilds 2, 3 times a month, customers car is overheating look under bumper radiator bottom bananad 🤣
Great video adam, I do enjoy these in depth videos it gives me a greater understanding of what's going on, I started a job as apprentice vehicle technician and in the 4 months of doing that I've learn more by watching 2 of your videos than I was ever taught by this so called mechanic with temper problems that was supposed to be teaching me, unfortunately or fortunately which ever way you look at it the job didn't work out for me so videos like this are what I'm learning from as I'm unable to find anyone willing take a chance on a mature learner
Fantastic build video and the head build. Big thank you, to you and the head builds.
That looks awesome with the cover on! And I was expecting double that from Gordon! Can't wait for the next one!
Love watching these videos !!!!
Brilliant Gordon👍🇦🇺
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻to Gordon
The money you have paid him will be money well spent as his experience is priceless 👍🏻
I’m surprised you can make 500hp on the standard cams, very good engines these YBs
Excellent video Gordon is a very knowledgeable guy a pleasure too watch!
Adam, great video what a craftsman Gordon is his experience is worth it’s weight in gold.
Hey Adam - I'm loving watching this engine rebuild - keep the videos coming mate 👍👍👍
Have you had the block surfaced , you will need that doing or head gasket will blow ...
Nicely documented video Adam! Very well done!
Amazing rally/race car project in white
Right up your street bud
That just looks amazing adam it's great we still have professional like Gordon doing there magic it's going 2 b great when it's finished ✅️
That invoice from Gordon was a bargain imo. I thought it would have been maybe twice that amount. You can't put a price on quality workmanship. Worth every penny 👍
You should get Gordans cosworth on the channel..
Great video mate can’t wait to see the car finished
thought you might have upgraded the cams on it,have you not thought about putting it in your three door then rebuild that engine overtime, better than leaving it about sitting, plus you will have the more powerful engine in that car.
Gordon was cheap for his experience and knowledge. Can't wait to see her up and running.
Brilliant content Adam. Gordon is a geezer 👌
I would have thought Vernier pulleys would be a good idea on a large bhp cosworth cams
Brilliant watching this, Gordon is the man 😎
Great old school talent
I think what was really a scrap head, Gordons charge was very reasonable/cheap. great job.
I hope that's getting ported and polished skimmed gasflowed etc as well as a rebuild
I would expect so with it being 500hp, dont see how youd do that power without those things.
It will need it for 500 plus bhp
@@CaptainCarlinghe's too late now
Also needs different inlet cam
I wasn’t planning on it. It’s not needed for my use.
If there’s someone local capable I might go for it though.
Another great & very interesting video Adam 👏🏼👍🏼
Could watch Gordon all day long 👌🏻
yes beautiful work guys
Fascinating 👏👏👏👏👏
Hope it's good news Adam
Don’t know much about engines but found this really interesting great video look forward to your next one 👍👍
Brilliant to watch, learn a lot from your videos
Fascinating, thanks Adam.
Nice mate does he not do the porting? Just had mine done for 500+ had to be ported mate
Nice video showing a, master engine builder
Gordon is some kid on coswort engine's Adam
Big love from south shields. Love the videos.
Loving this stuff Adam
It’s like being taught by Yoda! Awesome 👍👍👍
Two quality videos adam 👍
Gordon said about the garage in Spain the guy was Scottish called jock.
Brilliant channel 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇬🇧
You got seriously hosed on that engine😂 but it’s all content I guess so good video, nice work
You do know these lumps are fetching 15k plus’s up now one went for 30k plus the 500 lump and others at 10k that need rebuilding?
Another crackung episode Adam cheers
I would prefer to buy a cheaper engine and go through it correctly and have a fresh engine than buy an engine twice the price that’s meant to be fresh build with upgraded parts and to still go through it to determine if it is been built correctly and to check for corrosion
Great video, please put the engine in the EsCos 👀
Brilliant engine build videos
Genuinely surprised those cams only have ball races at one end
Great work everyday is a school day
Gordon’s mint love the vid
You got to think about how energy intensive all that machinery is and the electric bill the shop must have.
Why does some nuts/bolts need thread lock and others do not? i would of thought all bolts in a enclosed engine would need thread lock.
Interesting stuff
Where is all the extra power coming from, Just turbo and injectors?
How are you going to get 500hp from all your bits are standard? 😮
my full rebuild just cost me 10.5k, but needed replacement block and new crank
Great content
Good video, you didn't say the reason that the valves have sodium in!!
It's just the exhaust cam, it's so it runs cooler
i sit here and hope when people like gordan arent around whos going to rebuild such engines? all kids wanna do these days is become "influencers" lol 😂 the skilled trade wont exist
Epic respect!!!!GGG-unit
Will you make 500bhp on standard cams?
English Motor Mechanics
The TV show was called The Garage
Jock was the main man
It was great entertainment 🤣
Jock was a shit boss and scripted show
Is john still at engine service's? Had quite a lot of engines done there but not for a few years
Big jock from the garage in maliga am sure
Will you get 500bhp without adjustable cam pulleys?
😊 some how thought you were going to keep the car standard ?
Tip top 👍🏻
Hope he’s training a young un up to keep the old school art going as many are disappearing sadly 😢
