Alastor dresses the cast in their pilot outfits during Episode 1 of Hazbin Hotel

- Did you notice this in Hazbin Hotel?
During episode 1 we see a couple references to the pilot. When alastor starts to film the commercial for the hotel, he dresses the cast in their outfits they wore during his song in the pilot. Nifty does a pose mimicking marilyn monroe and vaggie looks like susan. When husk’s outfit changes, it basically stays the same except he gets some red cuffs on his sleeves and trousers. Well the reason for this is because husk was originally naked in the pilot, however during alastor’s song when he equips everyone with their new outfits, husk gains his pants.
So alastor is the reason husk wears pants which i think is pretty funny.
Alastor wears a unique stitched top hat with black pins. The pins are actually black tipped voodoo pins, which are specifically used to bestow power upon whomever a voodoo doll represents.
Atleast to me this comes across as a reference to dr facilier from the princess and the frog. However vivzie said in an interview that alastor isn’t based on dr facilier and he predated the 2009 film. So perhaps the hat is just a special item that means alot to alastor, similarly to his microphone.

I've always thought that Alastor only added red cuffs to Husk's outfit as a reminder of his soul being "chained" to him. He just seems like the kind of guy who has that kind of twisted dark sense of humor.

@@kingroyal2764 no, but there is a theory that Alastor was a voodoo practioner while he was alive given his background. Its not impossible for Dr. Facilier and Alastor to have crossed each other since they're both from New Orleans in the early 20th century. Just because Alastor died in 1933 doesnt mean he didnt live a life before that, which included the 1920's when Dr. Facilier was also active in the New Orleans scene.

Oooooooh I definitely noticed the reference from the Pilot in Overture plus I prefer Husk wearing pants anyway! All of the main characters are dressed in similar outfits as the outfits from the Pilot during Alastor's Reprise. Plus it looks like Vaggie likes the outfit now even though she was annoyed with Alastor in the Pilot.🤩😂

I think that Alastor's shadow IS a reference to doctor Facilier, because I dont think that there was anything like that in the original zoophobia webcomic, though I might be wrong on that
