As always, your camera work is fantastic. Thank you for sharing the wonderful Snowbirds. I have not seen them fly since the 80's at an airshow in California.
Those big formations are very graceful. The draw back is its very obvious if someones late or out of position. Great flying !
I asked a SnowBird pilot how do feel after a performance, he said like a good workout.

Those Avro Tutors are old enough to be warbirds in their own right, aren't they.
I thought the snowbirds display weren’t flying anymore, apparently not
They were briefly grounded after an incident that resulted in two fatalities.
I saw them fly over the Grand Forks AFB in the 70s. I was working on the base. Thrilling.

I went to see these guys back in the mid 90's at NASA's airport in Houston, TX. Still flying the same aircraft after all these years.
They are but their days are numbered. They'll only be able to keep them air worthy for so much longer. I'd expect no more than 5-10 years.
@@chrisswanton5043 will they upgrade to 4-16s when that happens?
@@sleevelessace not likely. I believe realistically they will switch to the same CT-155 Hawk that the British Red Arrows use.
well I dont really see them getting the budget in order to acquire and maintain them, cant say for sure, but I have heard that as some CF-18s get retired for the f-35s coming in the snowbirds may get the old CF-18s
@@coleomo I'd be surprised at this point. We've already retired the Hawks as trainers, those old Tutors are being milked harder than the Disney cow, the only hope for the Snowbirds is to go to the CT-156. Which is unfortunate, but whatcha gonna do?
