I’m also super excited for the Sai, Christian, & Otis scene because I think they did such a great job hinting at it in S1. whenever Harry was on his homophobic shit, you could see them in the background not laughing and just generally looking concerned and upset, exchanging nervous glances. their actors did such a great job of planting the seeds! ❤
I can’t tell you how many times I have watched this trailer now. It totally exceeds my expectations and my expectations were high to begin with. Love this reaction to it once again!
I love how quickly you were able to get this up! I think the shooting location works, and you don’t have to worry that much about with the lighting does, because if you had mentioned it, I would never have noticed it. Great trailer and a great reaction to it!
Great reaction once again! Like you, I was a bit concerned about the divergence of the books to the show but Kit said in an interview about this "I trust Alice". Me too,so I'm looking forward to some surprises! Once again, great reaction!
I’m digging the changes/embellishments! The emotional distance from Darcy will be a good way to flush out their relationship, and could segue nicely into a discussion of her home life; the inclusion of imogen, the best ally 😂; the dynamic shift of the core Paris squad knowing about Nick and Charlie before Paris; the intense pining between Tao and Elle being explored more; however, I’m really curious/apprehensive about the Ben conversation though. And what stays the same! That iconic line at the end from Darcy, the lovebite storyline, the clinginess of both of them (but especially Nick), and hopefully that reconciliation moment between Nick and Sai/Christian/Otis. I wasn’t sure if I was even going to watch the trailer, but I’m so glad I did. And of course sought out your reaction lol. Next Thursday can’t come quick enough!
Can we also just talk about Kit’s smile at 4:28 I am so happy to see Kit not hiding his smile anymore! throughout all the press junkets for season one Kit would always hide his smile and muffle his laughter behind his hand. It’s so beautiful that now Kit has become more confident in himself and is showing off his beautiful smile and letting us hear his adorable laugh! Ugh I love this for him! 🥹💙
Such a brilliantly edited trailer, love it! So happy they kept Darcy's iconic line! I'm really exited for Isak's storyline, and Elle and Tao, and Tara and Darcy and just everybody omg! Both me and my kids are queer, and Heartstopper is one of the reasons they knew so young! Well and the way I've always normalised it. I'm from Norway and it's better here than most places, but imagine there being 3 out queer kids in year 3 (9 year olds)?! It's amazing! I'm sooo happy Heartstopper exists, and I can't wait to watch the next season with my kids!
Their keeping the "Oh, you're being gay--good job, carry on 👍🏽" scene perfectly intact gave me life 🤣 This trailer is exciting, very curious to see the things they've added to the storyline as well as seeing more of Charlie and Nick being so wholesome; Isaac's scene there in particular is really interesting! Also, to me, Ben sounded a bit concerned about Charlie more than sabotaging--I wonder if that means Charlie telling him off led to him doing some character development, but guess we'll see, lol. Can't wait for your reactions--hard to think it's only a week left 🙂
Can’t wait for Season Two and watching your reactions along the way. Super excited to hear the new music. Season One introduced me to so much great music I’m still listening to….
BOUNCING OFF THE WALLS!!!!! Alice is writing the scripts for season 3 as we speak!!! And I can’t believe they start filming in October!!!! So be on the lookout for extras casting!!!! I wish I lived there because I’d so jump on that train!!
I know them hinting the important Charlie storyline in this trailer would be a huge spoiler but I’m now worried whether they’ll include it!! Xx But this is trailer is perfect and more 🤍
Oh they'll definitely do it. The cast have alluded to it, there were hints in s1, and Alice would never remove something so vital now that they're taking more time with the story. If you think abt it, Charlie's ED becomes a massive part of the story for a while. There is no s3 w/out it
I think they are. I was on Netflix about 20 minutes ago and the Changed the rating from "TV-14 for language" to "TV-14 for language and self-harm" so I think they will include all of Charlie's issues.
@@JackieRossLavender yeah I spotted their hints instantly!!! Alice basically copy and pasted the first season to the novels!! And I know how vital his story is for the last couple of novels (season 3) Just shows how many shows have butchered books I’ve loved 😂😂
They've done a good job of keeping a lot of stuff from the story out of the trailer. We still haven't seen Sahar, or David. We also only saw snippets of the Teachers (who I'm looking forward to the most). I think Heartstopper S2 will deliver, and not disappoint.
Hi! I was pretty sure I'd figured out in series 1 who were Christian, Otis and Sai, but the 3 featured in this trailer were different. I think they must have recast them all? I like the new set-up!
Yeah I think a few of us thought we’d spotted them but I guess they probably weren’t written in as they didn’t know if they’d get a season 2. Thanks for the set up love. I think I’m going to refine it but film more from this angle. It was soooo much more comfy to film!
if they really did recast them then they look insanely alike to me, I thought for sure they were the same people! are they not the people who were speaking to Nick in the locker room about the party at the beginning of ep 3? at least Sai and Christian, Otis I'm not sure of... the shot we get of them in this trailer looks like the same actors from that scene, no?
@@tk_1412 I really think they've recast all 3, but the actor who played Sai may just look different? Otis is definitely a different actor. I've also noticed that there's no sign of Harry in any of the new footage or pics, so I wonder if he's been written out? I can't wait to see!
@@JonahUK I suppose they might have changed them, or maybe the fact that they're older makes them look different... not sure. I was wondering about Harry too, he wasn't in the teaser or trailer but on the other hand, so wasn't Nick's dad or brother either. I really hope they didn't write him out!
Hi there! Amazing reaction I’m so excited to watch the new season, and see the books transform to tv buy I really want to react to heartstopper season 2 from my MacBook, but I’m unsure how to safely record the content from netflix without a black screen, I’m very interested in making RUclips reaction videos but I’m not sure if I’ll lose my netflix account if I find a way to record their films without a black screen for content purposes :) thank you!
Im super excited for the series to be back, but I dont see any hint of the darker aspects of Charlies personality yet, i mean it was hinted at that he had eating issues in season 1, obviously in the books/comic series it gets a lot darker at points. But I dont yet see that in this trailer. I mean they may be hiding it, I dont know, but its a part of series that I hope they explore. Possibly maybe a season 3? They are covering important topics and I know some stuff gets left out, i do understand that. But its an important point in the books/comics/webseries.
This was a great trailer. Was hoping for a bit more about the new characters in the trailer: David, Sahar, Stephane, Felix etc, but I feel like they are working hard to keep certain scenes and plotlines as surprises, so maybe that's why they were left out. I particularly like the way it's edited to sound as if Tao is worried that he could ruin his relationship with Elle by getting a haircut!
The closer we get to August 3 the more I worry about you Jackie, I feel like you're just going to explode from all the emotions and excitement even before pressing play lol
I don't remember who said that Kit is indeed more bulky now, and that's not great for continuity, but it is what it is (either was the author or someone else related to the series). For the actors, it was a difference of one year between recording first and second seasons, even though it was only days for the characters. Kit has other roles he had to train for.
omg i don't think i ever watched this trailer atleast not before seeing all the episodes first, but damn even in hindsight i feel like this just spoils wayy too much lol :D
I don't see the reluctance of Darcy to say I love you back to Tara as a problem for their relationship, but as a result of Darcy's turbulent and abusive childhood and life with her family. When you are in an abusive family, feelings are covered up and internalized as a defense mechanism. Tara is going to have to be patient in getting Darcy to the point where she can share her true feelings and things she has gone through throughout her life at home. Abusive homes create injured people who, despite bravura, are really hurt, scared children inside...even into adulthood.
The bit of the trailer involving Ben and Nick seems like Ben is still projecting himself on someone else, this season it seems like he's doing that to Nick.
I want to see stories from Nick and Charlie throughout their lives. Their story is a model of queer joy, tender and loving masculinity, and how to love someone in tough times. I think the world needs Nick and Charlie. I have been enjoying Fellow Travelers, but it makes me so sad how toxic masculinity and internalized homophobia, at the beginning, prevent Hawk and Tim from having what Nick and Charlier have. Not trying to be a prude about how aggressive their sex is, but I feel like for men this was the only acceptable way to be a man for such a long time. Even in straight relationships, men can be so aggressive towards their partners. We don’t get enough tender queer male relationships in media. People criticized all the consent talk in Heartstopper and called the sex sanitized. More than it just being for under 15s, I think Heartstopper is providing that model of tender masculinity and strength. Men get to have feelings and talk about them and they get to express what they like and don’t like. It is so important.
Finally 🥳i visite my aunt in france in Lille every year, my dad is french but he dont like me because i am gay but my aunt his sister is really loveley to me also my cousin he is also gay
I’m so glad they did the iconic “oh, you’re being gay…carry on” scene
I honestly can’t wait for august 3
I’m also super excited for the Sai, Christian, & Otis scene because I think they did such a great job hinting at it in S1. whenever Harry was on his homophobic shit, you could see them in the background not laughing and just generally looking concerned and upset, exchanging nervous glances. their actors did such a great job of planting the seeds! ❤
