The SBGH341 pays homage to Grand Seiko's iconic 1967 62GS model, incorporating modern elements while retaining classic charm. Featuring a 38mm high-intensity titanium case and bracelet, it boasts enhanced scratch resistance and comfort. Its dial showcases a rare scene from Japan's Tohoku region, where cherry blossoms are delicately concealed by snow, reflecting the transition from winter to spring. Inspired by this phenomenon, the dial's grayish-pink pattern captures the essence of "Sakura-kakushi," offering a captivating visual experience that varies with light and viewing angle.
At its heart lies the Hi-Beat Caliber 9S85, oscillating at 10 times per second for superior precision and stability. This movement, developed with meticulous attention to detail, ensures accurate timekeeping and provides a practical 55-hour power reserve when fully wound. The SBGH341 embodies Grand Seiko's commitment to innovation and craftsmanship, combining traditional watchmaking expertise with modern technology.
Crafted in the Grand Seiko Studio Shizukuishi, the watch celebrates the brand's heritage and dedication to excellence. Its design and functionality reflect the beauty and resilience of nature, capturing a fleeting yet profound moment in time. With its timeless aesthetic and cutting-edge mechanics, the SBGH341 stands as a testament to Grand Seiko's pursuit of perfection in watchmaking.

Perfect perfect size!!!! Finally their brains clicked and they released a 38mm model!!! They need to add more of these in 44GS, Snowflake and other models too

This is the most exciting GS piece in a long while and it is not even limited! Thank you for the review.

I actually considered this watch against the Shunbun and ended up purchasing the Shunbun instead. Although the 38mm case is a better diameter than the 40 mm on the Shunbun, the increased price, no spring drive and the dial differences were the main deciding factors.
If they put the Cherry Blossom and spring drive in this 38mm case, would be a completely different story. I'd happily pay the 20% more.

I think they have nailed this one
    38mm and that dial
Just wish their calibre’s were not as thick - 11.5mm would have made this perfect

If you don’t go for the automatic, they tend to be a bit thinner. Maybe worth considering?

I dont know why GS have the hi beat series instead of spring drive for all their watches. Have both and spring drive is so much better

Nice watch but I don’t believe it justifies a higher price over the preExisting Spring Drive Sakura/Shunbun. Seems just like a clumsy price grab (and a poorly timed one, given the unfortunate* state of GS devaluation)
    * Well, unfortunate at-large, but not necessarily for those noticing the really good prices in the used market.
