God bless you brotha . I am going through all this and this is just confirming that I am on the right track. Coming from a captive agency to my own independent agency. Choosing systems, processes, and proper training to hiring . Good stuff. I feel like I’m running into issues with choosing which company is good for who and which companies are more competitive for certain business owners . I guess time, more learning , applying , and faith will tell. God bless 🙏
Can't help but laugh at 19:00... I'm 33 years old, just had my first kid and left a large firm to start my own agency. To me, this was now or never but I wish I had your mentality at 21!
Really glad I ran into this. Made a couple of minor mistakes in my start up . I had my stomach turning. I was losing faith , even when I knew I was capable. Just hearing the ups with the downs really boosted my thought process. Work with it , get through. Thank You
I have a company called citymia it’s a financial consumer company that help food delivery drivers here in Miami to finance motorcycles therefore all these motorcycles have to have insurances. I’m thinking in setting up an insurance agent as an externality to my business. Do you think I can set up an insurance agency fully online . Thank you
I know you said don’t start an agency without experience. I do not have insurance experience but I have heavy sales experience. 9 years of Real Estate sales and now have a team of 8 Agents I manage. I want to expand and start a insurance company. I have a pipeline and database from my existing real estate business and network. I don’t want to work for someone else as ownership and building a real asset is my mission. Do you feel my experience will be enough to start up? Or do I 100% need to work somewhere?
Working for someone is not 100% necessary, but I believe it would highly expedite the learning curve, and the time you will waste on your own if you learn the ropes under another agent and get a good general understanding of how the business works and also the wide variety of products
If I’m an insurance broker already and work for a company and contracted with company’s like uhc humana etc would I lose those carriers if I ever went solo?great video by the way
