Insurance companies are required to give ample notice of non renewal before the end of the policy. Not contacting your agent and not seeking new coverage is entirely your own fault. Insurance companies finally recognized the hazards California municipalities and the state were fostering to cause this nightmare. And Californians voted for it. This wasn’t a hurricane and botched response like New Orleans during Katrina. This was planned. You can argue that they didn’t plan the fire but you cannot argue that they didn’t knowingly and deliberately deplete their ability to fight and respond to such an emergency.

I got my Life & Health insurance license in less than a week. I was never good at studying and have cheated on most tests in the past.(Highschool) But I have been studying so hard the past couple weeks. I started off knowing absolutely nothing and so I am definitely nervous about not passing... I'm from Idaho. So if anyone has any questions about the testing here I will be happy to answer after I have taken the tests. I wish I had someone around me that passed the test recently so I could get the answers to the hard questions lol. But everyone around me passed it a while ago and don't remember specific questions

I don't like his argument that Statefarm California headquarters are suffering and not being profitable. Still, I like his comment about Statefarm National Headquarters making billions of dollars in profit. It sounds like this guy is ok with the fact that Statefarm collects money into a pool of funds nationally and wants to shut down local branches that are not as profitable. Yet State Farm has collected premiums for 75 years in that community, and now they want to back out. No, that's insurance fraud in my eyes.

I currently work for an agency and looking forward to learning more.

Starting out, you don't need a brick and mortar office. Carriers will appoint you, however, several carriers require Lexis Nexis. Lexis Nexis will not grant you access to their services without a private office. They might accept you if you are starting an agency from a single family home, but if you live in an apartment, they will reject your request.

I worked with a IMO. Technically im still contracted with them and your right. The charge backs 😱 and the agency owners getting integrity deals then leave the business. It's true but the pay is better.
