If you're going to do video like this, you should understand. Even the basics better. State farm has a separate carrier in California for homes because insurance is state regulated. They can't have one Master carrier providing coverage. Also. California set up this rating. Debacle back in the '80s when we passed prep 103. We set rates very differently than every other state in the country. We can't use forward-looking data to set rates. Also, a federal backstop national program probably won't work. Take a look at the national flood program. It's underwater pun intended. Some of the figures you quoted in your video are inaccurate and you say I think. If you're going to use figures, you should make sure they're accurate. About the only one you got right is at State farm. Writes one in five homes in California. Curious across the country are having problems with property insurance because they can't spread the risk state by state because we are State regulated in insurance. Get your facts right before you try to to come across as knowing. I see that you're an insurance broker and saw some of the plaques behind you. But get your facts right. I'm not a State farm agent . I just understand the mechanisms of insurance and what the problem is. And the solution is going to pit consumer groups against the industry because it's set up incorrectly across the country.

How do you not pay yourself and also take care of yourself? Like you still need to pay rent, buy food, transportation, clothes, grooming etc

You can check what insurance company the lead is currently with under the Federal Motor Carrier’s website when you type in the insured’s dot number.

You shouldn’t include producers salary that is commission only the base guarantee that the agency is obligated to pay them every month regardless of they sell or not.
