I'd really like to hear some new Vixen material. The current lineup sounds like they will make an awesome album, Live Fire was a great live recording (being from Chi-town I was psyched that they recorded it there :) ) REV IT UP GIRL!!!
Britt is a perfect fit for Vixen. Since Jan passed away, they didn't have that great sound anymore...Gina Stiles playing didn't work right. She's good but no, not right. Since Britt joined them I have begun to listen again and went to a show where I was blown away. The raccoon tail is homage to Jan I think and her playing fits that style. Can't wait to see Vixen again!
Met Britt at a KISS Konvention 2004 and supported Jaded ever since. Struck up a little friendship with her, sent her lots of bootlegs of bans she loved. No one deserves to "make it" more than Britt. I am really bummed Jaded did not make it. Only the climate in this country kept them down. I wished they tried Europe a bit more but oh well, Over there it is so ignorant for women metal rockers, hell look at Crucified Barbara...they were awesome just like Jaded and they had a real tough time. I am so happy she is in Vixen because THAT music is her heart. BRITT LIGHTNIG IS A METAL WOMAN...and she should be playing metal and hard rock, not all of these pop bands. I get it you have to pay the bills but look at her...she is a METAL GODDESS and should be treaded as such. She is a HUGE inspiration to this metal tranny babe. I will ALWAYS support Britt and so happy she is in Vixen but keep up our dukes Metal Goddess, don't let them take advantage of you. Believe me, I have been a fan of yours since the day I laid eyes on her and been a HUGE Vixen fan since 1987....ONLY Britt can fill the boots of Jan and it is BRITT who makes the difference with them. Listen I liked Gina in Vixen but Britt makes that band kick ass the way they do; The live album is awesome but the studio track is WOW!!!! VIXEN NEEDS BRITT....now Vixen is VIXEN again. So happy all of her dreams are coming to life, she deserves it. A TRUE hero to me.

+J.J. Yeah, that actually is a really good point. I never really considered what followed the "classic" and most successful line up. After they broke up, what followed really never appealed much to me, so I hadn't considered it. That line up and those two albums were very much apart of my early teenage years, being a young girl at the time, it was like "wow" maybe I can play too. Which I did. So, yeah you're right. Maybe because this is the middle of brit's career and the end of theirs, you just feel like (even though she's great) she's just punching a clock and building a resume. Nothing wrong with it, just how i saw it.
@@IndiAcres saying they're at "the end of their career" is a bit extreme. They're only in their mid 50's and could carry on for over 20 years. (Though I doubt it considering the band's history) plus Janet has just put out her first solo album. It's a bit ageist on your part to say Britt's not a real member because she's younger than the rest of the band. If she was 50 when she joined the band she'd still be the new member regardless. You clearly just have a problem with them not choosing someone their own age which is contradictory to your "wow maybe i can play too" attitude. Also if her intention was to simply "build a resume" then she joined the wrong band. Vixen started in 1971 and only have 4 studio albums (1 of which is technically unofficial due to a successful rights lawsuit) when most bands would have around 15 at this point. The band have said they've been making a new album ever since Jan's death then decided to put out a live record instead. I think they just want to be a nostalgia act at this point.

Vixen was Jan Kuehnemund. The rest of the band have been a revolving door of over 20 people.
