Although it's just a torpedo boat right now, the Retaliator will also be multirole... cargo, living quarters, dropship etc. Ship modules will be an exciting addition, but who knows when we'll get them!
Very cool. I think the cargo is really low for the module. But. Eventually we will want to bring small boxes to store food/ammo/etc/etc. so this might be awesome for a crew idk
Great video! I would have also put down the Retaliator as one of the middle multi-roll ships. When it's modularity comes in later this year it's going to turn into a daily driver ship too.
Great video and conversation, was distracted by the clacking sound though in the background...had to rewind a few times because I was focusing on that!
Im starting to wonder how the Zeus will actually fit in with its price. If its smaller than the cheaper C1, less speed, and requires multi-crew to run at full efficiency, where does it really fit in? I am new and pledged for the Zeus before I knew about the C1. I have it as a loaner but almost feel like it is better in most ways then the Zeus for someone who runs solo more often than not.
Who says it needs multiple crew? Pilot based weapons is what determines to me whether a ship needs a crew or not, and even with that you have the Carrack which really can be operated solo if not engaged in combat.
You had me until the C2, I really don’t see that as multi-role. But that’s just my thought on that ship. I understand the 890.. but really drinks the hydrogen in atmosphere, but would be a good space-space hauler.
I know cig wants to raise the prices of ships in the next patch but I still think it’s too soon, I wish they would tell us what their actual plans are for the economy in more detail
Go watch boredgamer's last video. I don't know where the pulled it but he had prices for some ships. Arrow will be 2 mil, the Connie will be 10, hammerhead will be 50, and the 890 will be 75, just to give you an idea.
@nerdglider we've been aware for quite a while now our current prices are placeholders- they're cheaper so more people can test more ships. The final prices are supposed to be ranging from 5-10x the current prices. So the arrow will be around 5 mil and the hammerhead will be around 100 for example, but the big changes aren't coming for a hot minute. The smaller ships are closer to their final price than the big ships we currently have in game. I wouldn't be surprised if the 890j reaches close to 200 mil when the game moves to release.
@@nerdgliderthey explained it in their ISC video… As well as the estimated cost people are asking where Boredgamer got his numbers.. Can’t just watch highlight videos..
Sounds awesome! You can earn up to it in game, you got this! I’m hoping to profit up with a Galaxy and hopefully pay out a crew that man’s the ship with me, so we can all earn up. Idk why but I felt like sharing this lol
@@ZyvhurStudios hey who knows maybe it becomes necessary once they fully add control surfaces and distinctions between vtol and aerodynamics. I mean the lancer sort of has wings but I don’t see it functioning very well just using them
Dude. I facepalmed so hard at your comment! The whole selling point of the Caterpillar is that it is a sprawling modular platform, there are many CIG videos talking about the different modules we will receive. ruclips.net/video/eY6nJOLn6dk/видео.html Here is one link, from the guy who made the Caterpillar, so you can go tell CIG that their ship isn't modular, because they sure do not know it as the Caterpillar is advertized by CIG themselves as the most modular ship in all Star Citizen.
…… Did you research your comment at all? They’ve even discussed how the Galaxy is going to be their modular foundation ship so they can implement modularity for the Caterpillar and Retaliator.
@@mr.knightengale8384 Which is complete and utter bulshit because they spent years reworking the |Retaliator that was the OG test bed for modularity and I'll forever be pissed at CIG for moving the goal post so much when it comes to modularity. first it was the Tali, then the Caterpillar,m then the Galaxy. I'm calling it now, Galaxy won't be more modular than any of the others when it comes out.

the base is a great platform and I’m interested to see the updates as it’s one of the ships teased for this year

Great I haven't started the video yet, saw this comment and will unnecessarily focus on that sound when it happens
sorry 😂 @@schlagzahne6741 . Was just trying to let him know😂

carrack has repair station and drones ? hmm
Taurus > Andromeda for multi role. More cargo + tractor beam

There’s no way I can afford it but the odyssey is the ship I’m excited for. A refiner that fuels its own quantum drive? Infinite exploration..
