Hey I know you probably will never see this but I just want to thank you for your amazing content. Your videos got me through some really tough times recently and massively helped me with my mental health. I hope you continue to enjoy what you do and I wish you nothing but the best. Thank you.
I want to also share that same sentiment. In particular what's helped me is the very conversational tone of your voice and videos. The combination of that low but comfortable energy and the fact that listening to you typically teaches me something about RoR2 or makes me think about something IRL with a new perspective, your videos become perfect to play both as background noise (especially to sleep to) and as mental enrichment or even motivation.
I feel this about most of the CCs I watch. When I'm having a rough time they lift my spirits. Especially lately with my gut causing me issues. Can't eat and vomit alot. Lost over 55lbs bc of it recently. So while having these pains these distractions help keep me from focusing on it. Hopefully this isn't trauma dumping. Just helps typing it out and sharing with people who maybe are in similar situations.
I finally know what its like to have Race luck yesterday i had the most magical viend run, caggers first chest, shuriken AND syringe printer on stage 2, 6 shuriken and 7 syringe done, then the rest of the run was history (Edit: in e7)
I had a multiplayer game where i was wayy behind everyone else, really running for my life the whole time. Then i found a beads printer. I beaded the whole stage while they looted and was back almost equal, maybe a little more by the end.
3:02 the contact light was just a cargo/transportation ship. You can even see in the survivors' logs in returns that they all were either on the ship for some reason or were on their way to a bunch of different destinations. The reason they're at petrichor v is because, according to the siren's call log, the contact light was suddenly requested by someone unknown to take a detour into uncharted space in hopes of finding a matching teleporter to go along with the one that was somehow already found and held on the ship (shown in ror1/rorr's ending cutscenes and mentioned in providence's log). Unfortunately when they got near the planet Providence used the teleporter to get onto the contact light and crash it, with the playable survivors being the ones lucky enough to reach the escape pods before Providence could get to them (and technically in ror2 the characters aren't "survivors" since they're there intentionally as a search party in response to the contact light's distress signal)
I think of the things that make u stupid overpowered this one is fine just because of how rare and novel it is You dont go into the run thinking ur gonna become OP like running full artifacts and looping and it happens so rarely that it doesnt ruin your experience of the game
@ I still think it’s worth keeping as a once in a blue moon thing since you can just not use it if you don’t like it and most of the people who would even know of this interaction wouldn’t be one of those people who just play OP builds and get burnt out really quick
That’s not how game design and psychology works though, if you leave a shortcut for players they’ll always take it even if they aren’t enjoying themselves.
@@omalmahrouqii disagree though, because thats what lunar pods are like, and i think by seeing races reaction every lunar pod its kinda clear how it ends up for those who stray away, just lost credits and it feels bad because thats something that could've gone into making the experience more fun For the vast majority of players, the goal is to just win, and if you present them with a free win button they will take it, but then it sours the experience because it not only isn't a build, it removes your build, so you lose the entire point of the game which is stacking different items Lunars can be similar, but they have synergies or interesting ideas, and are "balanced" around coins, playing with lunars can result in some interesting and fun builds, having infinite stats is the opposite, even if you do it stage 1, then you don't see the effect of any items because you have infinite stats
@@RacesVideos I’m not saying they won’t, it’s just not something they would go out of their way to make happen cuz it’s something that happens by chance (and a very low one) It’s not as consistent shortcut to power as other mechanics in the game I can just hop into vanilla ror2 and run all artifacts monsoon and get an OP build before I even reach stage 2 but I can’t just will a bead printer into existence in any run
For those black masses in the scope. It is likely the actual hitbox/model for the effect textures, especially seeing as the ones growing out of enemies were literally just bands effects. Most likely the scope has some filter around it or some weird coding that makes it have trouble rendering those effects.
My idea for a beads change is to 1 remove the printer, 2 make it "scrap" so printers take it first. I feel like a lot of the time its in my inventory and i cant get the buff because i have bad scrapper luck :(
Definitely fun once, but yeah when one green printer is so good you immediately scrap your entire build to become unkillable and infinitely strong it should probably not be in the game lol
@@General_C I see people upset it was removed lol I understand being OP is fun but that just was not balanced at all, this new update is almost entirely great stuff. Have yet to find issues, though I am sure it isn't perfect.
1:00 personally i think removing scrap barrier (keep fall damage invulnerability) and a slight health nerf would make her okay without being unfun. the main issue i have with her is that she's really good in 2 different ways, being that she's really easy to do well as and also insanely powerful if you're skilled, and i think making her skill floor higher would be nice
I heard you talk about people scoping too hard with alt m2, but i still think you would have been better off not scoping and unscoping, but constantly aiming when you know there are several enemies on front of you. What i mean is - it is faster to scope once, kill 3 enemies and unscope, than scoping and unscoping 3 times, because the cooldown between scopes might be bigger then your time to aim between enemies
I believe you misunderstand why I scope in and out. It’s not about what is time efficient, it’s about awareness and mobility. If I’m scoped in I’m not seeing what’s around me, scoping out gives me sight, it’s scouting, it allows me to sprint and move properly in between motions, to jump to where I know is safe so that when I zoom in again to kill something I can be confident about it. Other people also have the issue of letting the inertia of scoping make them a sitting duck. There will always be a new enemy in your sight. Don’t tunnel vision
so prayer beads have an extra separate exp gain from your own but level along side of your kills. they start at level 0 and gain levels on kill equal to or a portion of the exp you gain in those levels (im unsure which on this one yet but it doesnt matter for the explanation just the general concept is needed). when you scrap one the way they were meant to work is you get (at 1 stack) 20% of those levels as level stats so if you gained 5 levels for the beads youll get one character level up worth of stats (damage, hp, and hp regen). beads stack at a rate of 20% +5% per stack. however they are currently bugged so when you scrap them they calculate the stats given based on how many beads were left in your inventory rather than how many you scrap. so if you have 1 bead and scrap it it will then give 15% of the levels it got as stats cause you have 0 left and beads are +5% per stack so itll then become 20% - 5% when at 0 stacks left. the reason printing infinitely into a printer is good is cause you scrap one and keep the rest of the stack thus allowing you to utilize all the stacks of it efficiently each print sorry about the brick of text but its a complicated mess on how they work hopefully it all makes sense though
@@DankbeastPaul thats a simplified version that doesnt account for the way they stack (at the time of the video released) but yeah pretty much im not sure about the updated version of them now

Damn this is crazy
I believe the black backgrounds you were seeing were a result of some interaction between the particle effects or visual effects and the scope effect

Aaaaanyway I find it funny how that one person was talking about wanting to see "non youtube runs" only for the run they're watching to become a video

You dont go into the run thinking ur gonna become OP like running full artifacts and looping and it happens so rarely that it doesnt ruin your experience of the game
the thing is, if the op build is fun then yes, if it isnt and its time consuming then its not actually as fun when it happens again

While infinity beads may only be fun for like one run, conceptually it is VERY funny. Just... Stupid. Beautiful.
I got this exact build and then black listed beads afterwards. So silly.

6:20 i hate when john gearbox is watching your run and randomly decides to take away all your damage items over a feather (it was worth tho)
Saw the railgunner hp and thought i logged into a rndthursday stream
Ty mr.race for this new podcast episode. (Nice cope run btw)
Holy shit, I didnt think I would see my name on youtube. Then again I had to leave during this run during like stage 4
I was top 2% of Race's viewers this year!
Next year: top 1%
appreciate you!
Dang, kinda sad I never got a Bead Printer just for the novelty of trying it...oh well too late now lol
what is the mod at the end of the stage that shows what you got and missed?

Nope

sorry about the brick of text but its a complicated mess on how they work hopefully it all makes sense though
1. Get Beads
2. Level them up by getting xp
3. Scrap them to get stats (more beads levels = more stats)
4. ???
5. PROFIT
