Really nice work putting the Popeye theme song from the classic 1980 Robin Williams film at the beginning. I'd say that game is still strong to the finich.
Great video Todd! I have a Nintendo DK cab coming home this Wednesday with a Super Mario Bros PCB in it. Looks just like the one in this video. I'll be looking into converting it back to a DK whenever I can find a working DK board. Keep up the good work!
ha awesome Todd! I did not know about that test menu! I've had one of the braze kits in there for a while but that is really cool to know. No luck this is on DK JR also is there?
TNT Amusements Inc just don't lose a Tab 2 tablet. oops like dad did. some of his seminar stuff was on there , fortunately not on the sd card. treat a tablet like a book you'll loose it like a book :(
Hey Todd. I noticed something on the Nintendo Cartridge version of Popeye that you will not find in the arcade version. After you get the spinach and you knock out Bluto, and then on the same level you get hit by one of his bottles, you cannot get the spinach again in the arcade version. This only happens while playing the nintendo cartridge version that was made when the Nintendo console came out.
Look interesting see a original Popeye pcb, only remember this game without the Nintendo licence (yeah, a bootleg pcb) Other version exist, but is a bit easy (the level 1)
Pete loves the attention, actually compared to the NFL scandals at the moment what Pete did is nothing. He should be in the hall of fame and have signed some petitions in that area. Love the Popeye clip :) think that movie is getting more attention now.
Glad I found these videos. I’m having lots of fun watching them.!
The art on the bezel around the Popeye monitor is really nice. It adds character to the game.
badreality2 Agreed!

Gotta love the fast and intense opening seconds of this one for sure lol
You blew it, Wimpy
5:05 Actually, the Popeye movie with Robin Williams (R.I.P.) came out in 1980, the arcade game came out in 1982.

Thanks Todd!

Riz2336 They look great repainted!

It has steadily increased in demand...especially now with the classic arcades.

Nintendo game of Popeye, it was part of Nintendo's Classic Arcade series that was made around 1985. The original arcade came out 3 years earlier.

Now, people are rediscovering this game! It turns up in classic arcades now!

This guy reminds me of Morrie from Goodfellas. I'm waiting for him to say Jimmy I want my money!
I could actually be him....when I was younger
