    Nice production again. Seeing this place in wet conditions is really the best!
    Some extra background info: after the closure of the chemical plant, many halls were converted into film studios. The classic and multi-award winning movie "La Vita è Bella" was filmed here, and the director founded the studios himself. The set you stumbled upon was from yet another movie, "Pinocchio".

    Guys, that was just magical. I totally agree about it being relaxing and at the same time fascinating....wherever nature is reclaiming its land. Similar to the Chernobyl zone too....so many animals in a haven now because there are so few humans in the area.
    I love this industrial decay, its almost like it comes out of a movie - and you guys help us to see this first hand - Brilliant 😀 keep up the great work. I'm really liking the new styles in your videos too.
    Oh and a big YES to the calendar, even just the photos are like a window into a different land 😉

    This was stunning! From start to finish...I love the deco styling and the old machinery with their harkening back to earlier times, to the abstract shapes in the piping and the dusty quality of the air. I must admit though, that I love best the portion Mother Nature is slowly taking back with Her cool greens and black roots tracing patterns across the walls, seeking for weaknesses. The storm added the perfect touch of the Elements in concert remaking what we no longer use into things Nature can more readily use. Thank you, and stay safe out there.🖤🇨🇦

  • @judiwilson7

    What I loved: the intricate, almost lacy iron stairwell you descend early in the video; the graffiti here is stunning, what an artist; the new green growth everywhere, like Stranger Things indeed; those big roots! A liked the contrast with the newer hall. No nature there but you can appreciate the massive machinery. Loved the research you did. You found pics, video and site drawings?!? I wondered where the water source was. Amazing. Then the surprise of the big space with the movie sets- wow!
    Include the image of the stairwell on the next calendar great work guys, worth waiting two weeks for this one.

      The curse of stable countries! You need huge economic/social upheaval to get locations like this. A war or two helps!
      I'm a brit, so alas although we were involved in wars it hasn't actually been on our land for a long time, and we're boring stable most of the time too. I've been researching locations in Eastern Europe. Plenty there!

      On Vancouver Island we had an abandon ski resort that was closed down due to the main lodge burning down. And last year they spent a fortune removing the REALLY cool old chair lift. Like why not leave it? It's not harming the environment, hardly a hazard to anyone and it caused like 176x more destruction removing it as it would of just leaving it. Really frustrating

    Way back in the 80s or 90s there was Sci Fi tv series that was going to be filming an Explosion in an Old Quarry . So I went to watch . Oops . I was trying to get as close as possible. I was moving through this field and tripped over somthing in the Dark. I had a lighter . So I checked it out . Opened the lid and saw Pyro . Never ran so fast . The safest place was towards the Film Crew . Walked through the filming compound and out onto the road . The People were Friendly and thought I was a crew member . One guy asked were is your vest . Just going to get it . Left it in the Can . Lol Didn't stay in the area long enough to see the Stunt . But I felt lucky .

      @bwturbex  4 года назад +19

      I'm not sure if there is still interesting stuff to see. After WW2, the underground was developed (later also for tourists) by Soviets, etc. So, as a tourist you can visit a lot of bunkers in Berlin, but I don't think there aren't many hidden and unknown underground places urban explorers would be interested in. However, there are a lot of subway tunnels to see.

    The research on the sites you explore is great. It helps the viewer to really understand what was going on there in days past. It gives us more than pretty overgrown, ruined or long abandoned relics. It give your explorations colours and textures. It fires us to imagine what it was like in the past. Your knowledge of technical, urban and rural items and processes are a cut above what other urbex channels give. Thank you.
    P.s. Your english has improved markedly since your earlier vids. Good on ya! (It gives you a wider audience.)

    Wow, guys, this episode was really worth waiting for!!!!! As always beautiful pictures, and the stories from the past are both, interesting and intriguing. Once more we get the proof, that mankind is only a guest on this planet, and in the end it is nature that wins the struggle for living areas. That was quite a wilderness you had to pass to reach your location. You showed us an astounding big compound, which is made even more beautiful by the returning nature. And the sound of the nearby thunder adds quite nicely to the atmosphere. I am happy with the thought that nature gets back what once was hers, men do only destroy everything and do not deserve or cherish what is around us. Another perfect video, thank you so much, guys!!!

    Sorry it took me for Days to watch this intense video. Had a car accident. Yes we are ok. Thanks for going through all that over growth. I'm sure damage was done to skin n clothes. Seeing the decay tells me that nature always wins. N hopefully we can learn from our mistakes. And learn how to recycle n build more with nature in mind. Seeing the difference between the looted area to the intact plant area was amazing like night and day really. . Prop area remind me of an old Twilight Zone episode.
    Thanks for this excellent adventure n I would Love a Calendar! Also read n liked every comment for being late to the video. Be safe n well. GB. Bring on next weeks!

    What was the most difficult to reach destination and why?
    I've once spotted a small castle on a ridge and I had no idea how it was originally accessed. The terrain was very steep and treacherous and the vegetation thick (because it was too steep for any forestry). In short I never even got close to exploring it (and you wouldn't even see it from the ground up close due to the environment)

    • @bwturbex

      We know about some places that are very hard to reach like abandoned war ships and lost cities in the desert but spots we've explored so far were very much okay mostly

    Somewhere in time People began to believe that we are separate and above The Nature of Things. Since then we have heaped destruction upon Earth while forgetting that what befalls Earth also befalls People. Seeing Nature reassert the living process upon the skeletal remains of Earth scorching industry gives me comfort and hope for the life of our grandchildren's grandchildren.

    Omg I’ve been there in the 80’s with my sister. We rode our bicycle to the factory. Have to admit it wasn’t that overgrown. We camped for the night and went to another abandoned house the next day.

      Kristy * I so wish I would have pictures... it was forty years ago. My sister and I weren’t very well off, we had no camera, we just took off on our bicycles and be gone for a few days with a tent and some cans of food. All the memories are in my head...

    • @lowrider81hd
      @lowrider81hd 4 года назад +1

      Broken Window Theory what I remember the most is that it didn’t look nothing overgrown like this. And that a lot of locals would hang out in the main “Saal” where the turbine is, and do drugs and drink alcohol. Nature hadn’t taken over it like it did in your video. It’s quite shocking to look at what it looks now, but also very very cool! We pitched our tent in that main room. It was just something people did back then we were undisturbed. The 80’s............ I don’t remember the faces on the wall, they are freaking me out I would remember it if they’d been there then.
