    Nice catch. I was getting suspicious when the scan tool kept dropping communication.

      It still kept doing that. I run into this issue from time to time on older gms.

      I guess a 5v ref NEEDS to be 5v. What happened to that dangling red wire? Did you replace it with that black one with the eyelet?

      Red wire was for a stereo that was removed. I left it go.

      5v ref should always be almost exactly 5v. 4.98-5.02 is usually all I ever see.
