    Glad you found a a workaround for the GPU. Definitely thought it was choking but didn't bring it up because you didn't mention it in the previous video :P
    It tends to be the issue with vertical GPU mounting. There aren't many people who do vertical mounting and the high end RTX cards being thicker doesn't help in that regard.
    FYI the GPU fans are intakes, they suck fresh air in and onto the heatsink fins to cool the GPU.
    I imagine an EVGA Black RTX 2080 ti would fit just fine for the build as it's 2-slot and would run cooler but you'd still have issues with that side panel. With that said, you did get a great price for the founder's edition so I can't fault you there especially if you prefer it aesthetically.
    You can always change the case in the future.

      The bios I flashed to was an EVGA 2 slot. Outside of the founders edition the only card I was considering was the EVGA anyway, it was a price decision at that point, didn't find anything below 1000 for the EVGA (for new cards). You're right about the GPU fans, it's a double problem of not much air to intake and not as much dissipation as there should be.

    Man this is sad. You building your first PC and the only part messing up was the case company you went with. damn

    15:21 You might be confusing "binning" and "silicon lottery." Binning is the manufacturer sorting to determine what is good enough quality to be ex. RXT2060 vs RXT 2070. Silicon lottery is the level of variation between binned chip categories. ex. How some RXT 2080s can be overclocked higher than others.

      Aren't they kinda the same thing? I thought it was being more selective about which chips to use, and so the odds of a "bad chip" are lower, maybe I misunderstood what you're saying. Even so, I think I drew the same conclusion, Founders edition is likely to have better chips than the base 2 slot models of the other options. It was only an assumption and not a deciding factor anyway but it felt like a bonus.

    This bad boi gonna last you for years!!! Now get a monitor that can match all that heat!

    You could probably try drilling vent holes in the tempered glass with a diamond drill bit, similar to the aluminium panel

    • @Dansg08
      @Dansg08  5 лет назад

      Perhaps, I haven't done much research but I always thought trying to mess with tempered glass was always a no-no. When I'm back in the UK I'll take a look, the glass looks amazing but in the long run the novelty will most likely wear off anyway :)

    I had a feeling the heat issues would be paramount in a small case like yours! Keep in mind the bigger the hardware your using, the more space and airflow you need to help keep the parts cool enough. I do understand your need to travel with this but I still do recommend in the future in the last video, you should plan on settling down in one place eventually and this way you can have a bigger case with more airflow that the computer doesn't need to go anywhere, this way the heat issues won't be a big deal. Anyway great job on the build with what you had here, and glad you figured out the GPU placement with the case, its always something with PC building!

    • @Finger112
      @Finger112 5 лет назад

      Also can I recommend you record videos 4k 60 fps in the future rather than 4k 30 fps? With that 2080ti you can easily do that.

    • @Dansg08
      @Dansg08  5 лет назад

      @@Finger112 I rendered at 30 cause all the other footage was 30, but yeah, for PC recorded content I will be going 4k 60 when possible.

    I noticed you only got 3 TB disk space in total. If you store your RUclips videos where do you store them?

    • @Dansg08
      @Dansg08  5 лет назад +1

      I have a 20TB backup hard drive where I store all my archived videos. I keep maybe the last 5-100 videos I made on my portable hard drive/computer hard drive then move them over in batches to the big backup drive

      @@Dansg08 Awesome man, thank you for answering! I deleted my old videos.. and when I download them from RUclips they are amazingly small and pixely😆
      Yea maybe I should store them but my 2 TB HDD had to be formated because it got some issues after 2 years of use.. so I couldn't keep them

    • @Dansg08
      @Dansg08  5 лет назад

      @@smashenYT Yeah, I deleted a lot of stuff I uploaded before 2016 or so which I regretted later on, but for the last 3 years I keep everything which is definitely the better choice. If there's one thing a content creator shouldn't skimp out on it's hard drives for creating and backing up their work I think.

      Not much difference at all, especially when the 9900k is at 5GHz, and check part 1 for a longer explanation as to why. I would recommend the 3900x over the 9900k for most cases, but as of buying it it was £200 more expensive (CPU + Mobo) for not a big difference in rendering speed.
