This guitar lesson teaches you how to play Superstition by Stevie Wonder. Good version for covering Superstition while playing guitar for friends or out at local venues. Stevie Wonder Superstition guitar lesson, chords, tabs, instructional video, tutorial.
Your rhythm is awesome.
Thank you so much!
@@TimGuitarLessons Thank you! I had to watch your video a bunch of times in 75% speed to catch the nuances. Almost have it. This is a great song for practicing muting. I'd love to hear a lesson with a similar rhythmic approach.
9:44 Try this: play that high C note with the index finger, and play the G note on the A string with the middle finger. Since the index finger is already on that D string from the previous chord, and will stay there for the next, it makes sense to just leave it there.
So good, man! Love all your stuff, but more of this groovy, funky, soul music would be appreciated! Thanks for what you do.
Thanks James!
I like it brother....better than electric.
Thanks Bruce!
Best professional guitar lessons on the net! Thank you.
Thanks Brett! You're too kind!
Good Teacher & Easy Learning, Good job, Always keep Moving.😊
From France
Thks Bro !
Man, as a beginner (still), watching you play it through at the start was so inspiring. Incredible skills.
Thanks so much Rob!
Great lesson! Love that strumming technique while fingering the riff. I've just discovered that in the last week, and wondered how it was done. Thx.
Thanks for the feedback!
Jeez man! You are so inspirational! I'm absolutely loving all your videos! Thank you!!!!! Just bought a Mini Martin and having fun!
Thanks so much for the positive feedback Ricky! I'm glad you're having fun learning these songs!
Damn this is cool. Love the jazzy sounding fills in there.
Brilliant, just brilliant.
Thanks Leonel!
Thanks Tim, an excellently crafted arrangement. Phil X does a great version of this with his band and not only does yours compare favourably, you explain how to do it while making good suggestions for making it your own. Really happy, Thanks very much.
Thanks so much Simon!
When you're talking about major 7ths at the end, you're actually playing (and showing diagrams for) dominant 7ths
Crap... you're right... I get some of the names jumbled in my head sometimes!
Excellent mate I had this song in my head today and had an idea how it was played and saw your video and you added a bit more to it thank you
Glad it helped, thanks Carl!
Brilliant lesson and love the strumming technique on the main riff. 👍🏼
Thanks so much! I appreciate the comment and the kind words!
Excellant lesson on acoustic rhythm guitar.
Thanks Mel!
Thank you so much. Your a great teacher.
Thanks Michael!
Thank you so much for this!! I was having trouble finding an acoustic version haha
Well I'm glad you found this one! Thanks for the comment!
Love the percussive rhythm👌
Thanks Oliver!
Thank you so much for your time on showing this. This is a cool song to learn, because your covering alot,,,,,such as rhythm, picking..etc. I love the fact its on acoustic. :) be a great song if we ever get back to camping, and your friends are drunk lol
Hahaha yep! Thanks for the comment!

Okay now I need to learn this
It’s an extremely fun one to play!
THANK YOU 👍👍👍
You remind me of a friend of mine sneaking that Jimmy e chord in there!
Groovy baby!
Thanks!
awesome tutorial. :)
Thanks Max!
Awesome !! 💯 Jesus Loves you You !.
Hey Tim I love the content you make! You do tutorials of all those songs that aren't mainstream, like Golden Embers by Watchhouse, all those Jason isbell songs, I cannot thank you enough. Great work and don't stop uploading!
Thank you friend
Sure thing bud!
Stevie Ray Vaughn also played it in Eb Standard which might be a better match for the song
he pretty much played everything half down
Top lesson 😁😁
Thanks man! I appreciate the compliment!
Perfect!
Thanks!
Thank you
You’re welcome!
Yeahh Brotha !!... 🤟🏻
Excellent lesson ❤ Thank you! What kind of guitar are you playing ? What kind of strings and gage?
Thanks so much! This guitar is a Collings D2H. Not sure what strings I was playing when I made this video, but I'm a huge fan of @Stringjoy these days. Particularly the Foxwoods.
Beautiful guitar!
HD-28 Ambertone???
Thanks Mike! This one is a Collings D2H
Are there any tabs for this by any chance?
For the riff on the 5th D is it on off on hammer ? Im a beginner and it seems so crazy to pull off
A 👍🏻
Thanks!
Only 614 likes?? Awesome stuff.
Thanks Brooks!
Hi tim thanks for the great lesson. is the tempo slightly slow when you start off and then picks up speed or is the tempo same throughout?
I probably speed up a bit while I'm playing it, but that is not intentional
@@TimGuitarLessons thanks Tim!
Sure thing!
Is the horn riff at the end of the verse a bit too fast?
Do you collect guitar cases? 😁
Hahaha yep
Tabs available? Thanks!
I'd like to know it too
Great, now play it in the proper key of Ebm. Watch any video of stevie playing and the guitarists arent detuning. They learn to play in all keys, like keyboardists, and horn players do.
Which definitely works in a full band setting with plenty of instrumentation to round out the sound. Playing it solo on an acoustic without a low 6 string drone just seems a little unrealistic unless you're ok with the movements sounding completely anemic.
Too much confusing talk.
Sorry Kelli! It’s a decently involved riff, so I tried to go into as much detail as possible on how to pull it off
still not undrstnd how to play solo with rhythm simultaneously
practice...u must feel it!
F***ING STRUMMING!!! I hate i can't repeat it... please, can you make a more detailed lesson, i try to make the same as you but my sound is VERY BAD and i don't understand why
