So lucky that this song is exactly what I'm looking for at the moment, can't be happier to see it- especially from your channel. Thanks a million teacher!
Great lesson for a great song, which you don't usually see in the context of guitar teaching. I actually watched on the site and liked it so much I decided I should jump to YT and give it a like and comment here as well. You keep giving us better and better content, it's absolutely fabulous. Guitar (and music in general) is so much more than just shredding. Developing a feel for the groove and being in the pocket is so important, and I think you nailed it on the head with this one. Thank you Justin!
The breakdown of your timing is so excellent. I think to play with the album I had to tune a half step lower, but it feels and sounds great. I started with just getting the first 3 beats of each bar with the song. It’s very fun to play
Glad you enjoyed it. There are now 700+ song lessons plus a song request board here: www.justinguitar.com/songs Cheers 😊 | Richard_close2u | JustinGuitar Official Guide & Approved Teacher
Justin, thank you for an amazing lesson. At first blush this is a simple lick. But the timing is very tricky. Greatly appreciate the highly specific muting technique breakdown. And advice for staying in the pocket and not rushing it. You are a super teacher. Dan
Watching you brutalize those strings made me realize I don’t think I’ve ever seen you break one during a lesson. That lead me to think it’d be cool to see an out-takes video where things went horribly wrong. I’m still struggling to stay consistent, but you keep nudging me back in that direction. Thx!
Thanks so much for sharing your talent and knowledge. What sets your lessons far above the others is the way you take the time to count out the notes, because if we (students) don't know what we are playing when,we don't really know what we are doing.Feel comes later.

A big hello from everyone Down Under in the land of Oz..and even bigger cheers from your followers in the Apple Isle..I tell my muso mates in Hobart that Justin is from Tassie and they say ''naw''..Now loaded with the proof I can collect on my bets..Isn't it ironic that the man I've learnt most of my guitar is from this tiny island Tasmania at the bottom of the Great Southern Land..Justin you are up there with our other famous Tasmanian son Errol Flynn eh eh..
Fantastic lesson, I’ve always admired the way that Phil x plays superstition and now with this very inspiring lesson I’m definitely going to learn this great tune. Thank you very much Justin, best wishes, Chris.

@UCcZd_G62wtsCXd-b7OhQdlw Stevie Ray Vaughn also recorded it in Eb Standard which is great for this song to match the original key. SRV loved the sound when he used 13s.
Justin, how are you getting the tone? Kemper? If so what profile? I know sometimes you list the tone on the website but doesn't seem to be in the notes for this one. Awesome lesson and tone!
I'd say stop looking anywhere else if your learning this tune.iv been through all of them ths one's the winner. Jason's from Australia be were not gonna hold that agent cobber

It works best w/ Eb Standard

Are you gonna do a part 2 on the SRV version?
I don't even care much for this song but I now want to learn it.
Digging the lighter blue background too.
Listen to the Steve Ray Vaughan version and you will care!
nice tutorial. Always like the way he teaches
Thank you! Cheers!

Superb Justin!! Such a sweet tone from your Guitar too, Awesome!!
If it helps any i always found it easier to just play octaves on the 5th & 3rd strings for the walk down after the initial riff. Just a thought.
Justin on the intro I am hearing a quick a hammer b the d e then an open E string 1 + 2 + 3. open E on the 3
Love your lessons!
Amazing tutorial man! Thank you so much !!
The original recording is E-flat. I tune the E half a step down. This makes a lot of difference regarding how to play some phrases

Does the Stevie Ray version not have those extra notes in? I'm convinced that's the way I hear it. 🙂
True blue iv just subscribed
Great tuition, only the original key is a semi-tone down. Just fyi if you're wanting to play along with Stevie :)
Thanks. Cheers 😊

Nice! Great lesson on this Stevie classic.
Love this one, gotta say though...master blaster is more fun to play
Stevie with Jeff Beck playing wild riff is on youtube someplace. Worth checking out.
I like the new setting besides the song!
Fantastic lesson, I’ve always admired the way that Phil x plays superstition and now with this very inspiring lesson I’m definitely going to learn this great tune.
Thank you very much Justin, best wishes, Chris.
justin, I would love if you do isn´t she lovely and you are the sunshine of my life, 2 amazing tunes
Tune !!!!!!!!😝
I’ve been having the hardest time getting that same strumming figure that’s also in Stray Cats/Rock This Town down. I’ll try your suggestion
where did you find the stems, you mention it in the video but you don't provide a link or name from where you got it from, great lesson by the way.
This is a how much detail I need.
:) I heard those extra notes too.. interesting
Justin, what brand guitar are you playing in this video?

Any chance of more songbooks in the works?
I just love em😁
Please do a guitar lesson of The Good Lord - The Dead South😃😃😃
The Stevie Ray Vaughan version has awesome guitar (of course!) and all the amazing groove of the original.
AND Jeff Beck's version!
Minus the voice of Stevie.

😂😂
😂😂😂
Hey juju What is your pics?
Sir please make a lesson on so far away by avenged sevenfold
Hi Justin, is that humbucker split coil or full?
From the sound he splitted to single. Sounds like a Strat playing with the Bridge-Pickup
@@alexanderwalther7302 ya I was kinda thinking that
Jeff beck riff
Man, let the E ring on the riff
Great vid but you lost me on the 3rd beat you emphasise the 4th note mutes but not sure what your doing before
Is it a Lenny Kravitz's song ?
You probably refer to Kravitz using the riff in "Always On The Run"...but he didn't write it ;) | LievenDV | JustinGuitar Official Guide
New chair?
If I didn’t know better, I’d say that was a Hendrix chord sequence after the riff 😅
Where dya think hendrix got all them chords in the first place
Play "Superstition" like Pete Huttlinger did.

Thanks!

Not sure what song he;s trying to play there :?
Too fast
Unfortunately the song is in Eb minor. not E minor. So unless you are telling everyone to tune 1/2 step down your teaching it Incorrectly. smh
Justin, what's with the girl guitar?...lol
is your masculinity so weak that a little pink freaks you out? lol
Really? sad.
Imagine coming up with such a crappy comment you end up getting roasted by one of the nicest guys on youtube.
