In my honest opinion they shouldn’t have nerfed the raid at all. People would clear it after getting some gear or even getting more resistance. In OG VANILLA days it was taking WEEKS to clear one raid fully
Right. Raiding 3 nights a week for 4ish hours and not clearing before reset. But making progress each week until you finally clear it in a week. Learning the fights without the overexposure of today's internet.
i thought up a very similar spec as you yesterday morning. it was simming at close to 850 dps in a 4 minute boss fight with just the dps set and a couple gnomer pieces. ffb had a 50% crit chance and deep freeze was 80% crit chance and average damage was 3300 for the 4 casts of deep freeze.
It’s a fun raid, with some fun mechanics but not overwhelming mechanics. I only raided Monday with a new group. Only had 4 hours and we got to Shade and wiped 4 times getting it to the 30% all but the first. They are not a cake walk and as the last leveling raid it shouldn’t be.
with jamal and ogam you need to put detect magic on the bosses to see which boss you hit as it changes which boss gets the heal buff :) also with the loot from sunken temple, i main mage healer maggle shadowstrike (au) i personally think that the gnomer gear is better than the sucken temple gear for mage healing at least idk how it feels for dps mages.
@@christopherhall619 That doesn't explain why i did it raiding when WOW 1st launched. I did it because I'm use to play competitive games that require pressing precise buttons to land abilities. This applies to the majority of gamers who want to Mid / Max.
all you gotta do is try your best and watch videos. don't be afraid to ask questions. raids are super fun if you love end game content and hard content. you'll do fine in your first raid. :)
Still think they missed an opportunity by not making ZF the raid. Especially with the inclusion of incursions and the 50% buff. I also don’t think incursions are necessary with the 50% buff. Feels very retailish braindead rush to max to hit an overtuned raid😂
The raid being to overtuned at the start is going to set a sweatlord standard right of the bat for the entire phase too. Even though the content is literally brainrot this phase.
@@gregjross852 the sweatlord standart got set at bfd already, i had to post my logs to get into a grp since ppl wiped at kelris. The problem arent the sweatlords, the problem is made by blizzard by forcing people to „sweat“ because they have only 1 shot every 3 or even 7 days…
I did frost mage parsing last phase the reason you are getting fire parses is cause your living bomb and living flame damage is making you a fire mage they doing to much compared to just the frost spells

There's a reason why you barely get fingers of frost procs Frostfire Bolt deals Frostfire damage, i.e Frost and Fire but the way the spell schools work for multi-school spells is that it will always pick whichever school would do the most, despite combat log and damage meters saying it is frostfire damage, the procs and effects that proc FROM fire OR frost damage will only count it as one, everytime you cast frostfire bolt on a mob it's a coinflip which one will the random resist resist more, because it's a 50 / 50 whether it procs fingers of frost or not because the bolt damage could be considered fire OR frost this isn't present in wotlk's frostfire bolt because they changed how multischool spells worked in wotlk, primarily of the introduction of chaos bolt to avoid complications

The loot for this raid is whack. Bad weapon speeds and stats barely better than gnomer.
Yeah, melee is back to doing double the dmg of casters, phase 4 is gonna just be melee doign 5 times more dmg just like good old classic

I stopped using fingers for burnout since week 2, it just sucks. On the event that it procs it's often eaten by living bomb.

Because season of discovery has been releasing in phases. The first was 25, then 40, now 50. It will be the proper, actual cap of 60 next phase.
