For anyone saying that the price is too high, you HAVE to fly this thing before you say that. I thought so I, but I got one and it's absolutely incredible. Believe me!

Does the wing lower it self automatically when your about to crash to at least protect the gimbal and camera from the impact of hitting the ground? cause if it doesn't there goes your expensive gimbal and 4k camera down the drain.

Wow a response i'm impressed. Love your work! Just watched your digitalrev cheap camera challenge. You were given one the worst cameras in the history of the show. They should of given you a cheap Chinese action camera or something.

Pretty amazing stuff here. When you look at something like this, coupled with the recent revolution in low cost CGI special effects, I think we're about to enter a golden age of low budget/high quality independent film making. I bet you can buy one of these drones for what, in the past, it would have cost to rent a helicopter borne aerial filming crew for a day or two.
This is still a competitive option in the flying camera market. Allowing a camera person to do their job while a pilot does the flying is a great feature not used by other drones at this time.

I'm dreaming of getting one (don't need the upgrades of the Pro anytime soon), but for a beginner (like me) the Phantom is a better choice (I think).
Same, I desperately want the inspire but I think as a first drone the phantom 3 is best. Can get the inspire later.
ATXgaming Phantom 3 is great to start (or later for rather confined spaces).
I'd skip the "Standard", though, and get the Advanced (like I did).
It just helps you a bit more, as a beginner, and the controller is better.

ATXgaming Standard has the "old" remote with a very shaky cell-phone holder, and a lower camera-resolution.
Advanced has a new remote with a better phone-holder (that also takes small tablets), a better camera, camera-controls on the remote (as well as pads of rubber for comfort).
The copter has "lightbride" for better connection, and an ultrasonic-sensor to aid landing/low altitude flights.
The only drawback: About 3 minutes less battery-life.

Great things to come with the Inspire 1. The flying time needs to improve. Getting real time 14-15 minutes of flying time is a killer.

Ah hell, lol. They won't be selling many of them. At least the price is up high to keep some of the dumb and unsafe newbies away from this hobby. Wish they would never have made the Dji Phantom. I feel like they made it to easy for the wrong people to be able to do FPV. You got people flying these things FPV that can't even fly LOS which isn't good my opinion. And they will have no clue if there craft is flying properly or not. Theses are the guys that are getting the FAA involved.

I have One, after the update and Prop locks and a new gimbal the machine is ok. and after 10-15 flys i allso trust it now.
Can't wait to own one and hope to God that no one ever messes this up for everyone... BTW, is that an original soundtrack? I'd love to play that music in the car on the way to work :D

It's called Showtime by Reaktor Productions. There doesn't appear to be any source on RUclips or anywhere else on the Internet. This is the song but it has some kind of audio watermark.

compared to the GoPro H4 Black the I spore camera performs better all around. Better low light, More accurate color saturation, no barrel effect at 94 degrees on the lens, ect. I use gopro too and they make killer stuff but... for aerial the inspire is a better camera option. Plus it's a modular design which will allow DJI to make future upgrades and maybe 3rd party add ons. I do agree...A Fixed FPV camera on the nose streaming on a separate chanel would make for less disorientation while piloting. search it. A 3rd party company has just made a discreet nose cam that streams separate for the pilot. Hint Hint DJI. This is most definitely my next purchase....

Dosent the GoPro hero black have fish eye?
Extreme JetBomber...Go pro cameras are set up with ultra wide angle lenses. Yes. Great for up close action shots....The inspire camera lens at 94 degrees makes the shots look more cinematic by keeping the horizon level and not distorting the images. Imo...its a way better all around camera providing more professional quality footage compared to go pro. Dji has released an even better camera for the inspire platform that has truly set the bar in micro 4/3s form. Check it out....

Interesting and innovative development. I hope that camera is capable of delivering clean state-of-the-art video. Also hope the gimbal can be joystick controlled on the second remote instead of by thumb-wheels. And my final wish is that we can all responsibly and legally use the darn thing, and others, here in the USA! :/

Can you image flying with stability indoors? Bloom called it their optical flow positioning system. For low to the ground flying they have downward facing sensors. Very interesting!

Top speed on this is almost 50mph. :) Great for those chase scenes. I like the intelligent battery. It calculates if it has enough power to return home and monitors each individual cell. I like everything that I see/hear so far.
would be sick the get it with a gimbal for the gopro4!

@2:58 check out the serious "stair stepping". some serious artifacts also in a few other places as well. this looks great in so many ways but only 60fps @ 1080p for $3,000 US? camera specs should at least match the Hero 4 IMO.
I'm not sure if dropping the super wide angle aspect of the camera is a good or a bad thing.. i don't really know which one i'd like better since i haven't seen a comparison.

Yes
A new tier of capability? Need more info before I can render an opinion. But from just this video, the things that strike me the most are:
- the ability to fly indoors (safely)
- retractable legs for full 360º view
- long flying time (18 minutes)
- nice UI/camera integration into the controller
Some of the other features already exist today:
- Lightbridge live HD
- control app with telemetry
- 3D gimbal
- 4k camera
We shall see. It looks like a very capable device at the moment though.

Hope they will release PRO version of it with option to use third party cameras. And where SPARE batteries? To fly normally I need to have 3-5 spare batteries at least.

going to use my S900 after all too costly buying now a gimbal, camera, controller, light bridge and so forth. So if I not purchase the just the Zenmuse gimbal and light bridge I can buy a whole new copter ......... LOVE IT THX DJI

Will it be as reliable and durable as my Phantom2 Vision? Yes, it's the older model with less features, but it takes a beating!! I had a horrible crash, but I replaced the body in less than 1 hour and I was back in business!!! I don't know how many times i've hit things and crashed, and it survived without a scratch!!

Honestly, the dual controller mode is useless in situations where the pilot is making long range flights because he could not see where his drone is heading to while the camera controller is just focus on shooting no matter what the orientation of the Inspire is because neither of them know where the drone is facing unless they realign the camera with the orientation of the quad or enter FPV which makes the "idea" trash. Better if they will add another camera at the nose of the drone for FPV so both pilots can focus on what they are doing without worrying of a possible crash or undesired footage.
Dual controller mode is supposed to be used either in situations with the copter nearby, or with a 3rd person as a spotter, or with pre-programmed routes.
Or you can use course lock and then it would work perfectly fine
And now this is a time to buy it
i will buy the inspire 2 in 2029 probably
