- Tatami Fightwear is one of the biggest BJJ brands these days, and they bring out alot of new products every year!
In this video Micha gives you an overview of all the different gi's Tatami currently has on the market, and how they compare to eachother.
We have divided the gi's over 3 categories: Basic, lightweight and premium gi's.
- Basic gi's: Nova MK4, Hokori
- Lightweight gi's: Elements gi, COMP SRS, Zero G
- Premium gi's: Estilo 6.0, Tank Gi, Limited Editions
Micha is about 180cm/5'10 tall and showcases the gi's in size A2 (except the Mike Fowler gi, which is size A3).
i should train with a heavy gi and compete with a baby weight gi
Love this channel! As a beginner, it is worth pure gold to me!
Things I like to see in the future:
- Fuji's Gi-lineup
- Thins like "what Gi for heavy, lanky people" is the best choice
Thanks guys, keep up the good work!
Thanks man, that's good to hear :D
Are the Estilo 6.0 IBJJF legal? Asking because I just purchased a couple.
Yes it is! As long as you have the sizing right, long enough pants and sleeves and enough space around the arms, you should be good to go!
Elements Ultralite Gi is insanely amazing
I’m 1,87 m and I weight 82 kg which size should I choose? Hellppppp plssss
Should I go for A2L????
@@marcelosalla2966 In general A2L sounds like a good idea for you. It will depend a bit on the model though (if we are talking about Tatami FW).
Thanks alot
by any chance do you know the weight of the tatami hokori minimal gi.? thatnks very much if u do. i want to buy a light weight gi for comp but the comp SRS isnt avalible in a1L but the hokori minimal does just wondering the weight difference. thanks again dude.
Do you go an extra L size in Tatami? (I have a Tatami comp SRS A1 but it runs too short, want to know if a size A1L will fit)
i ended up buying the tatami elements competition gi 1.4 kilos, in size a1L, the L size is for the longer/lankier person than having to buy a A2 size which is wider. just had to look around alot to find a company with one in stock, but yes i think this would be a better option for you dude.
Renato Salazar I have an A2L and i'm 180 cm and 76 kg. The L or XL sizes are awesome!
In the video I wear A2 btw, because those gis have not been washed/shrunk yet.
You're the exact same weight and height as me lol

I am 5 feet and 10 inches tall. What size should I look for?
AO to A1
i swear on the nova gi´s and i swear on micha´s service he is a super chill dude ;)
Marlon X thanks bro
Great video! Tatami and Hayabusa are my go to Gi’s on the mat so far.
I also have Fuji and Ronin Gi’s but those are still new in the plastic bag.
In combination I have close to 18-20 gis at the moment
Have estilo blue, nova black and hokori white. Love them all
Did I just buy the Estilo Black Label? It's good?
So i have a wingspan of 75 inch which gi do u recommend between the A3L and A2XL regrding arm length?. This will be my 3rd gi, neither of my current 2 fit my arm length and i find this VERY annoying
By the way I love your stuff
Has the mike fowler gi got a hint of pink in the collar and lapel etc?
have to say that I just found your channel and its very helpful.
