And works on Branded Fusion for similar reasons, letting you use itself as the Extra Deck monster to go into Mirrorjade with.
@@MarioLopez-xs3vc Well, it partially resolved BraFu. Gets around the restriction, but you only get half the card. BraFu is both a fusion spell and a Foolish Burial, and losing half the card was a major blow. Main reasons people were doing it in OCG were because Branded Tri was a decent deck over there and, more importantly, in a format with Maxx C, "What's the best thing I can do with very few special summons?" is a very important question. In the TCG, Verte was banned because of DPE/Scythe lock. In the OCG, it was banned to protect Maxx C.

You can activate Card Destruction if your opponent has more cards in hand than in deck. The legal activation requirement for Card Destruction is at least 1 player has a card in their hand (besides the Card Destruction that would be activated) and the player who activated it can resolve the effect (e.g. has more cards in deck than hand). This is because it does not check for your opponent's hand size/deck size on activation (i.e. they can chain cards to Card Destruction to either reduce their hand size or increase their deck size). This is an official ruling in the OCG and TCG for the card. Deck out through Card Destruction is a real strategy, especially in decks like Dark World after they get a Maxx "C" resolved against them.
I loved using the tyrant neptune and armored dragon back in the day to put the card effect protection on basically anything. It sucks they banned TTN for unrelated shenanigans
I haven’t hovered around modern ygo much, but I am just amused to all hell that dark armed dragon gets shortened to “Dad.” That’s just the funniest thing to me.

Rafflesia's a neat niche option in Rikka decks, which can easily go into a variety of levels at the expense of getting Plant locked. It's also not terrible in most Trap decks to give them something they can still do if they get hit by Red Reboot, Trap Stun or Royal Decree since it copies the effect instead of activating from a different location.
Hey Logs. I love these list things, but as someone returning to the game, I would personally like a list of the top 10 'outs' to 'invincible monsters', i.e. cards that can't be removed by simply playing a negate or interruption. #7: Phantom Of Chaos: DYSTOPIA THE DESPONDENT: Dystopia is a 12 Star, 5000/5000, DARK, Fiend monster. Its effect is: "Other monsters you control cannot attack. During either player's Battle Step, once per battle involving this card: You can banish 1 Level 1 monster from your Graveyard; until the end of the Damage Step, this card is unaffected by other cards' effects, also it cannot be destroyed by battle." HOWEVER, its summoning condition is: "Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand or Graveyard) by sending 4 face-up Level 1 monsters you control to the Graveyard, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways." Since its so hard to get out, you could just discard Dystopia as the cost of activating a card effect that requires a discard, ("Opening of the Spirit Gates" for example; which could revive a Phantom Of Chaos from the Graveyard) then Normal Summon "Phantom Of Chaos," then banish Dystopia from the GY, then banish 1 Level 1 monster from the GY, and you would have a 5000 ATK monster who could attack invincibly until the end of the turn.
my favorite combo with phantom of chaos used to be, turn 1 mill sky scourge, make lavalval chain to topdeck infernity archfiend, then normal summon phantom of chaos and activate sky scourges effect which will make me draw my infernity archfiend, special summon it and search and set barrier, pretty much set up for victory turn 1.
Yes, but Rafflesia is a monster effect, not a trap effect, even though it copies a trap. So I think traptrix become affected even by hole cards, because technically its not a trap hole but a monster
@duellogs you forgot about cxyz barian hope copying rhongo, you can climb through shark xyz with zexal field to attach and detach rhongo then copy its effect with a 5 material barian hope for an infinite rhongo loop that doesn't have to detach. This is legal in MD amd OCG.

#10 only problem is that serial spell must be chained to the normal spell. Opponent could literally chain MST and target card destruction or even itself (MST) and that will prevent SS from activating.
Supreme King Starving Venom it can also FTK with Odd Eyes Revolution Dragon, it gaines half of the opponent LP. Basically SKSV has 2800 atk, if opponent have 8000 LP SKSV gains 4000 atk, it means a huge 6800 atk and with piercing damage can easily FTK anyone.
For those of you unaware... (yes, they exist) Tyrant Neptune is on the ban list because of the fusion monster Lyrilusc Independent Nightingale. It's immune to all card effects, gains 500 ATK x her level, and can inflict 500 burn damage x her level. Tyrant Neptune can copy the effects and ATK of the monster used for its tribute summon. Just imagine a 6000 ATK beat stick that can deal 5000 burn damage and is immune to everything. Konami had the foresight to Ban Neptune before anyone had the Chance to do this.
@Random Cat Name you are correct. Straving Venom's ATk becomes 6800 and would deal 4000 Burn damage. Unlike Neptune, Starving Venom can also inflict Piercing damage.

⚪️If you would take battle or effect damage, you can pay 1000 LP: Your opponent takes an equal amount of battle or effect damage.
⚪️You can tribute 1 card from your hand or field: Both players reveal their hands and all facedown cards they control, then draw 1 card for every card with a matching name from their hand or field.
ATK/2500 DEF/2500
These are so cool!
Top 10 xyz monsters who can attach materials on them selves / or cards that grant xyz monsters more materials
Mr. Logs: "And if you had a Dad.."
Girls with colored hair: 😢
Top ten original jokes
Am I missing something or is there a reason Verte isn't on this list?
Is it possible to make one of these for ‘cards that change effects?’ I only know of bamboozling gossip shadow and artifact durendal that change ur opponent’s activated effect to something else
I was hoping to see Verte Anaconda on the list
I should play starving venom, but supreme King is so much easier to play haha
#7: Phantom Of Chaos: DYSTOPIA THE DESPONDENT:
Dystopia is a 12 Star, 5000/5000, DARK, Fiend monster. Its effect is: "Other monsters you control cannot attack. During either player's Battle Step, once per battle involving this card: You can banish 1 Level 1 monster from your Graveyard; until the end of the Damage Step, this card is unaffected by other cards' effects, also it cannot be destroyed by battle."
HOWEVER, its summoning condition is: "Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand or Graveyard) by sending 4 face-up Level 1 monsters you control to the Graveyard, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways."
Since its so hard to get out, you could just discard Dystopia as the cost of activating a card effect that requires a discard, ("Opening of the Spirit Gates" for example; which could revive a Phantom Of Chaos from the Graveyard) then Normal Summon "Phantom Of Chaos," then banish Dystopia from the GY, then banish 1 Level 1 monster from the GY, and you would have a 5000 ATK monster who could attack invincibly until the end of the turn.
I once saw someone use Dark Panther to copy Ultimate Conductor Tyranno and rampage across the opponent's field. It was insane.
Surprised Predaplant Verte Anaconde didn't make the cut, not even as a "honorable mention due to being banned"
I clicked only to find King Tyrant Neptune, even though I knew full well Duel Logs banned it from his own videos by now
This video is called "Top 10 Replacements For Both "King Venom" And "Neptune".
Tyrant is probably throwing a Tantrum about how op he is.
Yet he's still worse than Supreme King Starving Venom
my favorite combo with phantom of chaos used to be, turn 1 mill sky scourge, make lavalval chain to topdeck infernity archfiend, then normal summon phantom of chaos and activate sky scourges effect which will make me draw my infernity archfiend, special summon it and search and set barrier, pretty much set up for victory turn 1.
Also Rafflesia is one of the only way that you can made Traptrix monsters to be affected by Hole traps and Traps in general.
By default all Traptrix monsters are unaffected by Hole traps
Yes, but Rafflesia is a monster effect, not a trap effect, even though it copies a trap. So I think traptrix become affected even by hole cards, because technically its not a trap hole but a monster
I forgot about electrumite
Suggestion: top 10 generic dragon type support
Or top 20 performage, performapal
Also Top 10 Sky striker pls🥺
@duellogs you forgot about cxyz barian hope copying rhongo, you can climb through shark xyz with zexal field to attach and detach rhongo then copy its effect with a 5 material barian hope for an infinite rhongo loop that doesn't have to detach. This is legal in MD amd OCG.
Missed Hundred-Eyes Dragon
Top 10 Physical Interaction based cards. Like YuJo Friendship.
are there even Ten of those?
I know there's another one that lets you play rock paper scissors with the opponent, but I don't think there's enough for a Top Ten List
There's like only 2 of them
I think that hundred eyes dragon should be also in this list, that card was an amazing extender in synchro infertility back in the day
Top 10 Synchro Monsters that have a specific named card as one of its materials
Like how Archfiend Zombie-Skull requires Plague Spreader Zombie specifically as its tuner
Someone must’ve been smoking some mind breaking stuff when SKSV effects were being designed imagine having a full hand and field and seeing this copy a revolution dragon that’s almost as unfair as utopic Zexal
I remember when I first started and I summoned breaker the magical warrior and my opponent summoned dark panther, copied my breaker, then flip summoned apprentice magician and gave his “dark panther a counter, making it a whopping 1300 ark. I thought that was a remarkable turn. But I was really new at the time and didn’t know any better.
I feel like diamond dude shoukda made the list. His effect is so free, and cheats shenanigans of powerful spells without costs
Next do cards that can copy levels.
Haven’t even watched the video yet and just wanna say my ulti Rafflesias are coming in the mail and I am pumped
Long time viewer and twitch lurker could we please have a top 10 summoned skull/archfiend card video please?
Labyrnth barrage copies a trap
Might suggest an honorable mention of "Mystical Rift Panel", trap card
#10 only problem is that serial spell must be chained to the normal spell. Opponent could literally chain MST and target card destruction or even itself (MST) and that will prevent SS from activating.
9:57 "Despite copying Field spells, the most overtuned pieces of s--"
(The Rock Eyebrow)
"--support in the game..."
Oh.
Huh, in Master Duel you can activate card destruction and deckout your opponent with it. Didn't knew about this ruling.
Missed opportunity to link the Ditto video from TheDexLogs here.
Verte anaconda isn't a copy effect too?
Supreme Venom: *looks at Master Duel laughing maniacally*
Meanwhile inferno blast serial spell
Did they ever make a Copycat card from the original series? And how horribly nerfed was it?
the copycat card only copies attack i think (or attack and defense), it doesn t copy any effect.
Aw. Would have been cool if it could copy Spell cards like in the anime.
This may sound stupid but I used to use Phantom of Chaos in Cubic deck to Fusion summon the big boss monster
For those of you unaware... (yes, they exist)
Tyrant Neptune is on the ban list because of the fusion monster Lyrilusc Independent Nightingale.
And Supreme King Starving Venom is even better at this, because you can get her effect from the graveyard and bot cost a normal summon
@Random Cat Name you are correct. Straving Venom's ATk becomes 6800 and would deal 4000 Burn damage. Unlike Neptune, Starving Venom can also inflict Piercing damage.

Top 10 cards better in real life than in the anime/manga
So, how about them once per flip effects? Isn't that a weird restriction?
Starving Venom Fusion Dragon gave me an idea for a card:
Horrible Abomination of Mankind
Level 9 DARK
Zombie/Fusion
Three monsters with different names in graveyards
ngl i miss hearing about Tyrant Neptune and the other "banned" cards in these videos
I like to imagine that Witchcrafter Genni made the #11 spot
Top 10 cards that overwrite other card's effects.
the "and if you had a dad" at 5:38 is so funny to me idk why
I love hearing all the nicknames for cards and engines. Dad card. Salad engine
How can’t I use card destruction if opponent has less cards in deck than in hand if people in Master Duel use it to win by deck out all the time?
funfact if you chain serial spell to dimension fusion like the video suggest you discard your hand for the lols
16:39 Well not true, Duel logs..it was forbidden in tcg but that card stays at three for the OCG for having no plays for the card especially if anyone wanted that card for supreme king support .
Tyrant Neptune is vicious. That's all I'm gonna say.
Supreme King starving venom is BANNED? Well, I'm still gonna play it in master duel... they did limit it tho so I am kinda scared
Serial spell can be useful for double moves
Top 10 Best Cards that not as good as Tyrant Neptune
I'd put Numeron Network above Master Diamond just cos it's way easier to get access to. Then again I don't play Gem-Knights nor do I have the patience for those gems
Someone help me? I can’t seem to figure out if it’s advantageous or not to use serial spell after pot of greed. (I know it’s banned and this is an impossible situation but I’m still curious if it’s worth it or not
