I'd love more depth on the different mount systems tbh and just what you're getting compared to others or giving up. This was the hell scape I was stuck in both picking a silencer and hub mount. I ended up doing keymo for the device options since I didn't want to just be stuck with basic flash hinders or like one device sort of a thing. That and a ventum lol
I have found the Silencerco ASR mount to come loose - many times. So, have you used the Sig SLX/SLH QD? It seems like a very solid lockup to me. Also, I didn’t hear you mention the Dead Air Kemo. What are your thoughts about it vs the ASR mount? Lastly - Rugged seems to have an interesting QD. Thoughts there?
I’ve got thousands of rounds through the Plan B mounting system. I’ve never had a can walk off or carbon lock. When the taper in front of the threads heats up, it takes significantly more force to unscrew the can. The taper also protects the threads from getting any carbon on them. It also the lightest mounting option available besides direct thread.
The mounts I currently use are DA Xeno, DA KeyMo, tri-lug and the OPS12 collar / break. The tri-lug is the best but only works for the AR9. The KeyMo is the strongest lock up but can be too difficult to remove at the range. I like the Xeno over the KeyMo but I’ve worried about walking off. It never has for me but did on a friend’s 10.5”. The OPS12 collar / break is the coolest. And I really like the OCL OTB version that combines the muzzle devise and collar into 1 piece.
Plan B seems the way to go for weight/price and lower profile. I do kind of hope the CGS/CAT open source taper design takes off and becomes more prominent. A LH thread taper just seems like a better implementation of what Plan B does with less worry of accidentally uninstalling your muzzle device and/or hub adapter.
I have a surefire RC2 and use the surefire flash hider. Recently I acquired a few different systems that have different mounting systems, HUXWRX and Keymo. Was contemplating buying another can, possibly a HUXWRX. Would like to buy a flow through system that can be adaptable between HUXWRX and KEYMO. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated ! I am open to suggestions.
I too, like Silencerco's ASR system. I recently picked up B&T's SRBS 7.76 from Silencer Shop, but I'm not sure which mount will work on it. I'm guessing I'm going to need the Charlie mount, but I haven't been able to confirm that. I know the 46M ships with a Charlie mount, so that's what I'm basing my assumption on. Also, what would be the best option for a HUB system? I was looking at the Rugged RUM mount? Any input would be greatly appreciated!
My first can was a YHM Resonator K. I ended up getting a handful of the YHM Phantom QD muzzle devices. My second can is an OSS, and I have one of those reverse-threaded muzzle devices. Part of me wants to get an adapters for both cans and have my rifles with a uniform mounting system, but on the other hand, that would be multiple hundreds of dollars in adapters and muzzle devices, and I just don't care that much. For what it's worth, even if the YHM Phantom isn't the best mounting system in the world, I've never have had it come loose or any other issues. Never had it carbon lock, even after several hundred rounds of 300blk. Not great, but I just can't justify spending the money to change it all when what I have at the moment just works.
I like the area 419 hellfire system. It has left hand threads to attach the suppressor to the muzzle device and a taper system with an o-ring in it. Never have to worry about the muzzle device coming off the barrel inside the suppressor and I've never had an issue with carbon lock
I just bought my first silencer a Dead Air Nomad L which i will be sharing with my CVA Cascade XT and Ruger Precision. I'm thinking about getting a hub mount for both and I'm intrigued by the ASR from Silencerco that you mentioned. Would that system work with my Nomad L or am I better off with the Keymo or Xeno adapter from Dead Air
I realize my question isnt super related to the video (but i've been asking Huxwrx for several days w/o and answer so I hope you can help), for the Ventum 7.62 using a deadair keymo hub is there a muzzle device length limit? For example, can run the V762 on a 13.7" p/w upper w/ the long muzzle device? Thank you, even if you dont answer, and I did enjoy the info you gave in the video.
Like that Rob lets us know that this is his opinion only and that others may have other experiences. Never thought about proprietary mounting systems as being a detriment to using a variety of devices.
I don't own any "new age" suppressors but I've never had issues with Keymo. I've seen ASR fail and get loose. One buddy replaced the ASR on his Omega 300 for Keymo years ago after his second ASR failed. I never tried all the fancy reverse thread mounts since I just own a Sandman as my main rifle suppressor. All my rifles have the Keymo muzzle devices so if I ever get these low back pressure flow suppressors, it'll have to be HUB compatible.
Xeno has been good for me. Reverse thread on the silencer hub, as it heats up it tightens. The brake builds up carbon but I’ve gone to the Xeno Zero to save some weight and no carbon buildup.
I have not purchased any Griffin Suppressors for a handful of reasons. I recently spoke with them over the phone as to why I did not particularly like their Suppressors. A lot of it had to do with their available muzzle devices. However, they convinced me and they have two on the way to me now. More testing to come. As it pertains to birdcage/hiders. I almost never leave a birdcage style flash hider on my rifle as I prefer recoil reducing devices for when I’m not using a suppressor. This is why I usually remove birdcagemuscle devices and do not prefer birdcage attachment type devices. It should also be noted that in many cases, even though the suppressor can attach to the birdcage flash Hyder, they often recommend you remove the flash and use shims to the flash hider instead of leaving the crush washer on as this can lead to a baffle strike. I hope this helps.
@@Ertactical yes I did replace all the crush washers on the actual nato cage and just bought 2 of theirs to fit my 300 blackout rifles. But like they say you buy one and shoot for awhile you’re hooked so I have another one on the way thanks for the comment back keep up the videos
@@jjacres129 bro, thank you for your positive feedback and support. You don’t know what it means to us. There’s a lot of negativity on the Internet and we really appreciate when there’s positive comments.
Perfect Timing - I have been pouring through a ton of videos just to bring myself up to speed. I struggled with deciding which muzzle device to mount on a Molot Vepr AK-47 (RPK Style) which has M14x1 LH threads butted up to the front post. Curious if anyone has suppressed an AK that has the M14x1thread and which Muzzle Device and Suppressor did you go with?
Look into the JMac 360 x37 muzzle devices. They are make for AKs, and allow you to mount any hub/bravo mount suppressor. The popular can for AKs is the DA wolverine- i have my wolverine mounted using the Jmac hub adapter for the wolverine, and then mounted Jmac 360 muzzle devices on all my various AKs. Made it so I can quick change out between all my AKs, without having to spend a bunch of time changing the adapters/threads out on the Wolverine. If you use the Jmac muzzle devices then because they are HUB/bravo compatible, you can also mount many suppressors. Just make sure you test for concentricity.
@@ThisHandleIsTaken1 Thanks for the intel. I'm looking at not going with the Wolverine since I'm not crazy about the KeyMod system. I have been looking at the JMA Muzzle device" 360 14-1LH Facemount X37 HD - HUB". Which one did you go with?
@@Quality_Guru I’ve got I think 5 different Jmac X37 360 muzzle devices on different AKs- the nice thing about it is that you can standardize the mounting by doing this, as my many AKs all have different thread pitches. With the Jmac wolverine to hub adapter, you can forgo keymod, as I am also not a fan. If you just dont want to go Wolverine, you can go any hub compatible can. The new Sputnik is pretty awesome for AKs, and is hub compatible, so will mount to any of the Jmac muzzle devices . . .
I currently use the ASR system. However, I am intrigued by the KeyMo system. Not having a locking collar would make it perfect for going under a handguard that is longer than the barrel. What are the experiences any of you have had with it?
@@Ertactical definitely worth considering man. They are my current favorite mounts and muzzle devices in the "Plan B ecosystem" you can't go wrong with Rearden or LPM stuff either.
I just purchased my first suppressor and I'm sticking with direct thread for now. I was recommended teflon tape by friends to keep the can from loosening. Is that also a good option?
Pew Science recently dropped their free public report on RC3. Didn’t look good. Think I might go with Hux 7.62 TI instead. Lighter, cheaper, more flow, better sound and multi cal. I know you have an RC3, am I really missing out if I go Hux route? Thank you
My experience with the huxwrx flash suppressor was the same as the muzzle break. 3 magazines in and I am locked up. Same ammo and rifle and I am close to 1k rounds thru it.
Are their any A-Tec suppressors that are compatible with the SiCo ASR mount? I'm in the UK and have a SiCo ASR muzzle brake on a 9mm rifle that I want to get a quick attach suppressor for. At the moment I just have a direct thread moderator
I have a Hybrid 46 and only use the ASR mounting system. The direct thread mounts that I bought haven’t even come out of the packages yet. 🤷🏻♂️. And of course I get the negative comments on adding the asr brakes or flash hiders on my hunting rifles instead of direct threading….
Hello Rob, thank you for the video. It's been 7 months since you posted this, would you still go with the SilencerCo ASR system as your preferred mounting system? Sadly, I went with the Dead Air Xeno and Gemtech ETM, both of which I would trade immedietly if I could. Both of my suppressors are dedicated 5.56 and I am looking into 1 solution for both so I can swap them out between rifles.
2:40 Can Rob please dive a bit deeper into the pros and cons of the Keymo system? I feel like the only pro I’m seeing consistently is a more true QD system
its is a bit more willing to carbon lock than the asr. Thats the biggest wave top for me. there are a few other little things I don't like about them I do have a few and there are some gains too.
I have not seen one come lose. I have not done any testing with them b/c I don’t like the lack of a 2nd locking system. Do you have one? Do you like it? Has it come loose on you?
Xeno, job done. Proper torque, no need for rocksett or anything either. I've used both and it makes no difference other than the device is hard to get off with a proper breaker bar. Use nickel anti seize on the threads of anything you want to remove later.
It sucks when my favorite muzzle device (Griffin Armament Tactical Compensator) only exists in a taper and a proprietary locking system, and though Griffin makes tons of adapters so you can use hub cans, the actual mounting doesn't quite measure up to the Plan B mount style.
Suppressor mounts seem to be a strange world as I see tons hating on the SilencerCo ASR mounts and bunches of people loving the rearden mounts. I agree with you though that threading onto a muzzle device only could be risky but I also have no experience with the rearden mounts
I think I'm going with the plan B system... everyone seems to like them an they're lightweight.. an the price seems reasonable.. first can is coming in and the last thing I wanna do is make it longer or heavier... I guess direct thread is also on the table 🤷♂️
The xeno is reverse thread just like the huxwrx.. I got that because of that reason and it was half the price of huxwrx. Plus the taper before the threads so it can't carbon up the threads
This reminds me of Larry Vicker calling himself The LAV. Been my experience, people that talk about themselves in the 3rd person have a high option of themselves. This is a nice way of calling them sociopaths. With that being said, this channel puts out excellent information about silencers.

Was contemplating buying another can, possibly a HUXWRX. Would like to buy a flow through system that can be adaptable between HUXWRX and KEYMO. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated ! I am open to suggestions.
check out the HUX Ventem, it has a hub so you can B&T a SF mount or DEAD air the Keymo
@@Ertacticalthank you
I too, like Silencerco's ASR system.
Any input would be greatly appreciated!
the SRBS takes the SiCo Bravo mount. of the HUB mounts I like the SiCO mounts the best
@@Ertactical Thanks for your input! I'll look into that solution!
Nice!! We have 4 YHM’s on the way for testing
CAT just made their 1x16 LH mount system open source. So that’s neat.
Still have nothing from them. We will keep trying
I like the area 419 hellfire system. It has left hand threads to attach the suppressor to the muzzle device and a taper system with an o-ring in it. Never have to worry about the muzzle device coming off the barrel inside the suppressor and I've never had an issue with carbon lock
Definitely need to check them out. Didn’t even know they were doing silencer mounts. Thanks for sharing

Keep the content coming! I’m waiting on a Lahar 30 to get released from silencer jail and currently debating on a hub system to use
Thanks for your support 🍻
Nice!! Thanks for the support ❤
I really love my Q cherry bombs with my Trash panda…no timing and no extra tolerance stacking simple and easy… HUB with plan B too
have you ever had it come loose?
🔥🙌🏻❤️
Like that Rob lets us know that this is his opinion only and that others may have other experiences. Never thought about proprietary mounting systems as being a detriment to using a variety of devices.
🙌🏻
I don't own any "new age" suppressors but I've never had issues with Keymo. I've seen ASR fail and get loose. One buddy replaced the ASR on his Omega 300 for Keymo years ago after his second ASR failed. I never tried all the fancy reverse thread mounts since I just own a Sandman as my main rifle suppressor. All my rifles have the Keymo muzzle devices so if I ever get these low back pressure flow suppressors, it'll have to be HUB compatible.
I’d like to know if suppressor length creates any difference in back pressure. Ie modular cans that can go shorter or full size vs K.
Those nots should be in our back pressure test vids
Xeno has been good for me. Reverse thread on the silencer hub, as it heats up it tightens. The brake builds up carbon but I’ve gone to the Xeno Zero to save some weight and no carbon buildup.
Good notes! Thank you. I guess I’ll have to try one
Xeno flash hider etc when going into mount left hand thread like huxwrx. It also uses taper.
have you have em come loose?
@@Ertactical no sir! I use it on my nomad L.
@@benlastname6667 did you shoot it a bunch ? like a few hundred and see if it comes loose?
@@Ertactical roughly 350rds on a 10.5lb bolt gun set up with 308.
@@benlastname6667 solid test! I guess ill need to get one and mess with it. thank you for the feed back
First I like your videos very well done but have you used the gate lock from griffin armament it goes on any nato flash bird cage
What are your thoughts about A2 type mounts, such as Griffin Gate Lok?
Good q! I’ll talk on this soon
Good copy, thank you.
The new Sputnik is pretty awesome for AKs, and is hub compatible, so will mount to any of the Jmac muzzle devices . . .
@@ThisHandleIsTaken1 Thanks - I have been looking at Putnik or the the Huxwrx 762 since they both have HUB interfaces.
I currently use the ASR system. However, I am intrigued by the KeyMo system. Not having a locking collar would make it perfect for going under a handguard that is longer than the barrel. What are the experiences any of you have had with it?
I went with Forward Control Design's 7315RF and their new Atlas-R mount. *Chef's kiss*
Never heard of that! I will study
Thank you
The CAT ODB outperforms the FLOW762Ti in all pressure regimes, is more affordable, and is available in Inconel. Just food for thought.
It was great reading the RC3 review and it basically saying that every other low back pressure suppressor is a better choice lol.
@@ToastbackWhale Okay that sounds like a reasonable choice too, I’ll check it out. Thank you!
@@whatiwant8898 Yea it was disappointing to say the least. Next gen that’s holistically no better than last, at almost 50% more cost 😔
Would like to know why ASR over competing secondary lock mounts (such as Griffin's Dual-Lok)
Don’t have one, we will be testing it soon
My experience with the huxwrx flash suppressor was the same as the muzzle break. 3 magazines in and I am locked up. Same ammo and rifle and I am close to 1k rounds thru it.
Wow! On both for you?? What can? It seems like the flow gets stuck more than the QD for me
The Xeno has reverse threading for attachment to muzzle device so you don't unintentionally remove the muzzle device.
have you rocked one for a few hundred? do they come loose?
@Ertactical I completed 2 basic rifle classes, 150-200rds per class, using the Xeno adapter without coming loose.
@@crazykoolrn ahh great intel, thank you
Griffin dual lok system is great!
Are their any A-Tec suppressors that are compatible with the SiCo ASR mount? I'm in the UK and have a SiCo ASR muzzle brake on a 9mm rifle that I want to get a quick attach suppressor for. At the moment I just have a direct thread moderator
I never see much on the bi-lock mounts that Gemtech and GSL uses. Guess that’s considered proprietary. Your thoughts?
I have a Hybrid 46 and only use the ASR mounting system. The direct thread mounts that I bought haven’t even come out of the packages yet. 🤷🏻♂️. And of course I get the negative comments on adding the asr brakes or flash hiders on my hunting rifles instead of direct threading….
Thank you For the Video! love all the info.
What about Griffin Dual-lok?
since making this vid we now have all 3 of their can / mounts .. more to come
I'd be curious to know how many plan b compatible systems you've seen come loose.
Love it! I’ll order one for testing, thank you for sharing
How long till you do updated muzzle device video . I’m leaning toward Xeno currently.
Yeah, mounting options are something I know nothing about for suppressors... Which is why I'm still going with Direct Thread wherever available
Can’t go wrong with DT 🔥🙌🏻
It sucks when my favorite muzzle device (Griffin Armament Tactical Compensator) only exists in a taper and a proprietary locking system, and though Griffin makes tons of adapters so you can use hub cans, the actual mounting doesn't quite measure up to the Plan B mount style.
We will be testing a few of these soon
Suppressor mounts seem to be a strange world as I see tons hating on the SilencerCo ASR mounts and bunches of people loving the rearden mounts. I agree with you though that threading onto a muzzle device only could be risky but I also have no experience with the rearden mounts
Yeah, I do hear good things about em. Maybe I’ll test one
I think I'm going with the plan B system... everyone seems to like them an they're lightweight.. an the price seems reasonable.. first can is coming in and the last thing I wanna do is make it longer or heavier... I guess direct thread is also on the table 🤷♂️
🙌🏻
Awesome vid
🔥🙌🏻
I can't remove the 3 lug adapter from my suppressor. Any advice
The xeno is reverse thread just like the huxwrx.. I got that because of that reason and it was half the price of huxwrx. Plus the taper before the threads so it can't carbon up the threads
Nice!! I’ll have to test one of those
The video we need
thank you =)
Plan B is self tightening, and the taper locks the can on. No secondary locking system needed.
Love it! I’ll pick one up for testing
If I ever get to a state that allows suppressors, I would have to unpin & change up my SOLGW NOX w/Keymo.
🙌🏻
Could you please discuss the rearden atlas I’ve been hearing a lot about them.
I forget the name, but it’s 1 that can be unscrewed at the middle of the suppressor allowing you to immediately switch to a smaller and lighter one
Perfect
thank you =)
This reminds me of Larry Vicker calling himself The LAV. Been my experience, people that talk about themselves in the 3rd person have a high option of themselves. This is a nice way of calling them sociopaths. With that being said, this channel puts out excellent information about silencers.
lol…probably the case in many situations. When Rob is talking about Rob, it’s so you know it’s his opinion and you’re allowed to have your own opinion. There’s a lot of people that make hard and fast statements that don’t leave room for the experiences and needs of other people…we don’t do that.
yeah rob is a silencer Nut but lets not go issuing out medical diagnosis over the internet. hahaha
The cherry bomb and the others use a taper as a secondary lock system.
Will test! Thank you
I wish there were other muzzle devices that were compatible with Rugged Suppressors
Me too!
I want to actually see these systems, rather than just hear a monolog about them please.
Rob, at CANCON we talked to the owner of the suitcase full of titanium suppressors and he had a pretty cool proprietary system. Did you get a chance to sit down with him after?
Nice job on the vid and audio, very clear.
Thanks for watching, we have much more in-depth videos coming as this is a HUGE topic 🍻
Rob- " its your garden, dig it."
Plan b and area 419 are the best, keep shit simple and strong
Thanks for the intel, we will check em out
I'm not sold on proprietary mounts unless it's a silencer for one gun.
Have to agree with you on the hux and the xeno. My hux stays on, my xeno does not. Also the xeno is ugly and not as short as it should be.
Good notes! Thank you for sharing
What Rob doesn’t know is that zeno is left handed thread meaning it does what the hux does
Subscribed! Smashed the like button. Here is my comment! Really appreciate the info. Live in AZ... pin a link to your classes.
Hahah why have I not done that!! 🤦🏻 duh thank you! 😅
Direct thread is the only way to go. Less cost, length and weight. I personally have seen 5 keymo cans loose their teeth and launch themselves.
it def saves weight and create the best connection with can to rifle
What is wrong with keymo??
nothing is wrong with them, I prefer the ASR as i and my clients have had more carbon lock problems on the Keymo
Rearden/plan B: only an idiot doesn’t rocksett the muzzle device on the rifle and also the Atlas on the can.
I’m always thinking “what would Rob do”?
😂😂
The firearms industry desperately needs to standardize suppressor mounting options
totally!!!! the Hub is killing it with giving us choices
Why is Rob talking in the third person and cant pronounce the word Carbine?
thanks
You mentioned the plan b and xeno sounds risky but you didnt mention that you tried both like you did for the hux. Would you be willing to do a video trying them to see if they actually are risky?
I will likely pick up one for testing but I worry it will come loose. So, careful testing
@@Ertactical Makes sense, I know there's not an easy/cheap way to do this type of test but I would like to know if manufacturers' claims were legitimate and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Thanks for the response, I'll keep an eye out on your channel.
Who the hell is rob?? 😂
