    I bought the alpha direct thread mount for the octane 45 To mount on a “pistol “ (Rugar pc charger) blow back design. To make this work, all i need to do is take out the spring and 9mm adapter, add the mount and thats it? Just making sure so i don’t mess anything up.

    • @SilencerCo
      @SilencerCo  Год назад

      Yes you are correct! Alternatively you can also replace the spring with a "fixed barrel spacer" on your piston which essentially converts the setup into a direct thread mount. The Alpha Direct Thread Mount is going to look cleaner though for sure on your PC Charger.

      Hit up our customer service team. Those wizards know how to to resolve any issue you run into. One method that has worked is to use one of the spanner tools that shipped with the product to "hook" the inside lip of the tapered insert. Apply upward force and work around the insert as you go.

    Great video, only thing missing IMO is the thread pitch of Bravo, you mention alpha is 1-1/8 but I'm assuming bravo is 1-3/8? That would be what other manufacturers are standardizing on right?

    • @illestdomer2005
      @illestdomer2005 Год назад +2

      That's the diameter - correct, the HUB for Bravo is the most common. The Dead Air Keymo and Xeno, Q Plan B, and Rearden Atlas Bravo all use that same thread pattern from Bravo for their mounts. The muzzle devices for those systems are not intercompatible either, except for Q Plan B with Rearden and vice versa, ignoring how Q will not warranty cans mounted with non-Plan B MDs.

    That’s a lot of shit to go wrong for overthinkers. Keep it simple people, use 3 lug on PCCs, ASR adapter and mount for rifles and basic piston system on pistols / handguns. I use the blast shields to protect threadings on adapters, not just prevent concussions 🤕 for that guys on other benches 🤣🤣🤣🤣
