The actual Rohtas fort which was captured by Sher Shah Suri from a hindu king to accommodate his family members after losing the chunar fort to King Humayun is situated in Bihar, India. The same fort was also ruled by Man Singh. Prince Khurram also took refuge in this fort when he revolted against King Jahangir. Thereafter, the fort was used to incarcerate prisoners.
