Jinnah was a strong nationalist and ambassador of hindu muslim unity in the beginning, but in a later stage, after Lahore resolution was passed, the sole purpose of his life was to partition of India and creation of Pakistan. Dr.Istiaq Ahmad has established this fact in his book, while Ayesha Jalal argued that till the end Jinna did not want partition. But Dr.Istiaq Ahmed defeated her argument beyond doubt.

It is misconception that Jinah was nationalist and ambassador of Hindu Muslim unity he was selfish opportunist and greedy of power. Jinnah was the founder of split the Indian nation on the basis of religious hate . The whole politics of Mr. Jinnah was based on religious hate against Hindu and Sikh peoples. Peoples. Thanks.

    Wounds of a Nation
The midnight hour brought no dream,
But rivers of blood in a broken stream.
A crescent’s shadow, sharp and cold,
Split hearts and lands, both young and old.
Once brothers shared a sacred soil,
Now burned in hatred’s fevered toil.
Fields of wheat turned graves of despair,
For greed had poisoned the very air.
Jinnah’s voice, with its silvered sting,
Promised peace, yet clipped the wing.
Lines on maps, drawn in haste,
Carved through lives, laid to waste.
    Lahore wept, Delhi mourned,
    Homes abandoned, families torn.
The train of death, its ghastly tale,
Carried whispers of a humanity’s fail.
    Children cried in fear’s embrace,
Mothers prayed for a safer place.
What god, they asked, would demand this pain,
For borders etched in death’s refrain?
And still the fire rages on,
In memories of the land they’d gone.
A legacy of a choice once made,
    In blood-stained history, cruelly played.
Jinnah's dream, some say, was bright,
But darkness followed his chosen fight.
A lesson carved in every heart,
That unity, once broken, tears apart.
So hear the cries of those who bled,
Remember the tears that were silently shed.
    Let not ambition’s cruel decree,
Ever divide the roots of a shared tree.

Very nice video. Really appreciate Zeeshan Ali’s point of view. Partition is a fact of history and while we can only now only discuss and imagine ‘what if’ India remained united, ‘we can’ still improve relations between the two nations. Like Zeeshan expressed in a another video, it is tragic today, that the British who divided the subcontinent can still move freely across countries, while we the inheritors of a shared heritage can only struggle to see the ‘other side’.

Imagine, down the road, the Muslims would demand a separate country & the compensation India would have to give, had this occurred. Thanks partition actually benefited India 70 yrs down the road.

Jinnah cloaked his ambition in the guise of minority rights but wielded religion as a divisive weapon, fracturing India's soul for political gain. While Gandhi walked among the wounded, fasting for peace, Jinnah orchestrated partition from the safety of his mansion, leaving millions to bleed for his "vision." Gandhi sought unity through sacrifice; Jinnah chose division through fear. History may distort their legacies, but the blood-stained borders of 1947 indict Jinnah’s pragmatism as moral bankruptcy. True leaders heal; Jinnah tore apart.

Yes 1936 Congress govt of Congress frightened Muslims of north India and deep into psyche of Muslims , forced to think over the counter strategy and cabinet mission plan seemed close to satisfy their aspirations but the option of leaving the loose federation was categorically rejected by Nehru which forced Jinnah to withdraw his approval for the plan but no any solid guarantees could be offered by congress thus no option was left for Jinnah except to revive his earlier demand of Pakistan so failure to stop division of India solely lies on the shoulders of congress leaders

Partition was an excellent Idea by Zinnah and Mountbatten, Only blunder was done by Gandi and Nehru, they didn't implemented it in totality and complete transfer of population couldn't realised. The result of which Hindus in Pakistan and Bangladesh are still facing religious hatred and atrocities because of being non muslims and on the other hand remaining muslims are flourishing in India and dreaming of Islamisation of the country.
ACTUALLY, MOULANA AZAD WAS MORE VISIONARY AND CUNNING THAN ZINNAH, HE WAS THINKING OF USURPING OF WHOLE SUB CONTINENT AND WAS NOT HAPPY WITH ZINNAH THAT HE AGREED WITH MERE TWO PIECES OF THE LAND.

Lets not forget that violence was a near constant and increasing in frequency and intensity from the 1920s. The British started the divide but the division found great traction among even poor people who had no role and participation in the political process. The violence was present even when ML and Congress were working together and calling out for peace and cooperation. Rather than leaders driving the narrative, the conditions on the ground was leading the politicians towards these fateful decisions. I think any other decision such as making Jinnah PM would only have postponed but not averted the outcome. It is not sustainable to keep a people together when they have started thinking of themselves in separate national terms. Even if the leaders had gotten along and preserved a united India, eventually a divisive figure would have arrived and torn the country apart. A real life example of this wold be former Yugoslavia. A likely alternative outcome could have been multiple states with mixed populations like Punjab and Bengal thus avoiding a transfer of population. Unfortunately, in multi ethnic and multi religious societies, nationalism is inherently violent as it requires definition of the core group in permanent opposition/incompatibility with out groups and the myths that go along with it. I think this is what played out in the subcontinent.

Nehru's socialism was one of the big problems for muslim leaders, and one, that tipped the scales in favour of partition, as most of the Muslim league leaders came from large land owning families and they were'nt very keen on playing the socialist ball. & In fact, the imposition of land sealing act shortly after independence in India proved their fears very true.
Nehru's socialism was also a huge cause of concern for the British, as this would mean India would likely align itself with USSR after the independence, and hence partition would have also ensured the protection of British interests in the region in Great game.

Partition was result of violation of Lucknow Pact by Motilal Nehru and Subhash Chandra Bose

Angrez partition 1857 se hi chahta tha. They realised that the unity of Hindus and Muslims as in 1857 was a dangerous thing so they started a systematic division. They encouraged the Hindus to get English education (although it was only for low clerical position) and made them get alienated from their heritage. They influenced some Muslim ulema who discouraged the Muslims from getting educated and the British would not employ them and slowly they became poorer and poorer. The British were also responsible for destroying the courtesan system and labelling them and pushing them into the flesh trade. Before 1857, these women held large properties and paid some of the highest amounts of tax. But since they had given help and shelter to the soldiers and others against the British, the British set about confiscating their lands and properties and punishing them. There is an old map of 1858 or so which has the divided India into Hindustan, Pakistan and Princistan. The name Pakistan was decided long ago. The British left a festering wound in the subcontinent.

Despite Jinna's likely early death, the British did not postpone the talks and allowed partition to be a reality. Within 3 months of partition Jinna died in Pakistan.

I live in the place from where British rule started. Do you know Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose ? Do you know Azad Hind Fauz ? I can tell you more than 60% of Muslims never supported the Pakistan proposal. Ispahani and Adamjee gave funds to the Muslim league. Both Jinnah and Gandhi were Gujaratis. So just chill.

No all wrong, fake narrative. False equivalence. Jinnah was a dirt bag. India is a secular nation. India mein 1000s muslim ladkiyon ka forcible conversion nahin hota. Do not compare India with a disease called Pakistan.

Jinnah offered a blank cheque to Master Tara Singh.
Well, let us look at Ahmadias.
Pakistan resolution was drafted by an Ahmadia.
Creation of Pakistan was supported by Ahmadias.
And we know where Ahmadias stand today.
    Sikhs escaped this fate.

Sar aap lagta hai aapane cabinet mission ke bare mein Puri jankari nahin liye. Teen tarah ke state banae gaye the unmen se 10 varsh pakshat alag hone ka Adhikar Diya gaya tha jiski vajah se Muslim bahul ilake Pakistan ki taraf ho sakte the yah Jawaharlal Nehru ko aashram ka thi
akaalee mishan yojana mein bhaarat ko teen samudaayon mein vibhaajit karane kee baat thee:
    grup e (hindoo bahul kshetr)
grup bee (muslim bahul pashchimee kshetr)
grup see (muslim bahul poorvee kshetr)
neharoo ko yah dar tha ki is desh kee ekata aur akhandata mein khatara paida ho sakata hai, kyonki muslim leeg kee is yojana ka upayog karake deshon ko vibhaajit kiya ja sakata hai.
