So few people will admit that though Freddie's parents were Zoroastrian, he was raised in a "Christian" boarding school. Songs like Jesus, Mad the Swine, Great King Rat, Thank God it Christmas, My Life Has Been Saved, Made in Heaven, Is This the World We Created, The Miracle, One Vision... Lines live "You say God, I say give me a Choice. You say Lord, I say Christ." and, "I spent all my years believing in you."
Zoroastrianism dates from before 600 BC. It is monotheistic where Ahura Mazda created the world. They believe in the Day of Judgement, where God judges the immortal human soul after death. Souls that favor good go to heaven, while souls that favor evil go to hell. Opposed to Ahura Mazda is is Angra Mainyu, the destructive spirit and the adversary of all things good. Abrahamic religions all have their roots in far older cultures. {:o:O:}
Freddie was educated and knew a lot. For example, this biblical story; The story of Jesus Christ with the obsessed with Gerazia. Freddie's song evokes that. In doing so, Jesus exiled evil spirits from the obsessed people to the pigs, causing the pigs to go wild and rush into the sea ... Metcury was much more than a rock star. Phenomenal the way you can handle your voice.
An absolute genius indeed.. I mean who else can one mix up the Rock N Roll with such a great mythical, magical & folklore and tales of endless imagination & fantasy better than him. I love Queen from their early days of 1970s. Mercury was a lyrical genius, I'm 100% convinced!.. 💜✨
Because they recorded it for the album but didn’t put it though they did make it the b side for headlong with a note that it had been previously unreleased. They did however release it for the redone version of the first album
No it wasnt on the debut Album. First Release of this song was at the b side of headlong Single in may 91. And at the Cover was written: inklusive prevously unreleased Song mad the swine
You can hear he has not quite found his Freddie voice yet, still very young. My God, I love this man!
I'd hazard a guess that everything about this song shows that Freddie wrote it. A companion piece to his wonderful song, 'Jesus'.
Голос Фредди ни с чьим не спутаешь, Это волшебство в сочетание с вокальным многоголосием. Сама нежность.

He also sang 'Allah, Allah, Allah will pray for you'. What's your point?

I bought their first album in 1974. This is not on it. Of course, in those days everything was vinyl.
