I am an amateur and would make orchestral, jazz, EDM, Lofi, large mixing projects and mastering in the next several years so I picked up the Pro version. I've done a project for a remix contest after I received my Cubase 12 Pro license and finished it smoothly in one week (as a total beginner of Cubase). This DAW can handle everything I need very fast.
I am more interested in composing, rather then all these gadgets in Pro. Completely happy with elements. Cubase is only a tool. Your mind is the most important slice in the pizza. Elements is already overkill for me, lol.
Hey Dom, I'm glad you're taking on these types of AI/LE videos as many people have these version and would like to master before upgrading. Also, AI is the one that comes with the MODX so you know how it goes for beginners. I know you have a great video about using the MODX/Montage in a DAW but would like to see it utilized more in the studio and utilizing some of its sounds as opposed to those in Cubase. I note you have a Komplete as your controller, can you begin by showing us how to utilize the MODX in that controller manner...also a video showcasing the audio interface powers of the MODX would be much appreciated also (I think).

Why must you assume we all want to make digital music? What if I JUST want to record vocal, drum, bass, and guitar, and don't care about the sampling part of it? Which do I want?
Are the sounds loops from Cubase royalty free, In a scenario where a producer created a song Which was a hit, would a person have to give any acknowledgment to Cubase for using any of those sounds
I'm first and foremost a drummer who has guitar and piano as a hobby, and composing music like rock/metal with symphonic elements. I use VST plugins like drum plugins, bass and orchestral plugins. Trying to figure out whether to go for Pro or Artist version. I need advanced metronome and advanced midi editing. Mixing is not my strong side, although I would eventually start learning to mix my music. What to buy? Pro or Artist? I know it will become like RAM in computers, eventually I will run out of RAM. But for my needs, is that the case for Artist version?

yes they are, just double click on the track you want to warp and in the inspector section you´ll see the options "Definition" "AudioWarp" "VariAudio".
I have Cubase LE , so i have allready "Chord Pads , Groove Agent SE and Halion SE in LE , so is there a Reason to upgrade to Elements? i am absolutely unsure if it is worth upgrading
You can upgrade for Elements just for one feature: sampler track. I've got a problem with cubase when I found out that there is no sampler track in LE and AI versions.
@@michaeljkeeney I agree, I have done ableton Live for some time now, and I know that just Cubase Elements wouldn't satisfy me as there are some features that I would miss, but I also don't wanna spend a fortune on Pro if I don't even know if Cubase is for me, but I could se myself in investing in Artist since it's very affordable to give it a genuine shot - and then maybe upgrade to Pro later for a reasonable price

He mentioned quantize as part of Artist. Does that mean it’s not available in Elements.

I've been recording in Audacity for such a long time that this looks to me like candy to a child. Man I can't wait to buy this and start learning 😯😊

To be honest, the Artist version is a complete waste of money. Element and Pro, only versions make sense

And it worth the money. Comes with tools that can be expensive more than Cubase itself.
