Im so very sorry Trevor for your loss. I lost my beautiful sister to cancer back in 2010. I still cry every time I hear this song. How beautiful was it to have the lyrics to Wonderful Life at your Mum's funeral. She was there with you and still is with you always. Whenever you listen to that song and you feel a warm touch on your cheek, know it is her saying Hello and she loves you and thanks you and your sister for passing on those beautiful lyrics.
If you look close enough you can see Mark well up with emotion when the crowd sings. Its amazing !

I had this version played at my Mum's funeral last year as my tribute to her because it's just so special and I love AB. It comforted me on the day to have them 'there' with me I guess as due to the pandemic I hadn't been able to see her for a long time as she was in a care home but I hope she heard it up there. An alter bridge is not a bridge too far away, if we carry love for ours and others in our heart of hearts. That is the testimony of time. It cannot weather, rust and or corrode. I love this song. I agree that it must be so difficult to sing and play this to an audience. It touches my heart and I definitely shed major tears every single time I hear it. I lost my sister to Breast Cancer in 2010 so this is bittersweet. I miss her more than I can express. My heart was broken August 23 2010 and it still is broken. I have become a different person because she was like my other half. Having said this though, she is likely up there giving me a swift kick in the ass and telling me to stop crying and save the tears for when we see each other again. Those tears will go from sad tears to happy tears. I just wish I could have that one more hug, that one more tea, that one more laugh till be pee, and that one more "I love you Judy"

This is one of the live performances I watch most weeks (in between listening to AB albums back to back) and it never fails to elicit some kind of emotional response after all these times.

Yes, their first album the "one day remains" is literally almost sounded like Creed on steroids (like you said), sounds so post-grunge but heavier and with more guitar solos. It makes sense since Myles has not fully contributed in the songwriting process in that album.
