Great review. I love the styling on this SUV. Kia has a great line of vehicles. We have had several and have never been disappointed. The captain chairs are life changing. The Sorento with the 3rd row seat is not so convenient. Those badges are beautiful. Great way to personalize. Love the camera on the dash for lane change. Great features.

I love how Hyundai/Kia have done a full 360. They hired a German designer and it shows. They focused on tech and looks which it what the industry is ruled by now. They really are doing a good job. Honda and Nissan should learn from them
I would like to own one, I don't need a new car by any stretch of the imagination, so when the heat goes away, I will talk about realistic numbers. As you know dealers are screwing buyers with big $$$ over MSRP and the distribution system is purposely limiting supplies.

just be on a look out for bad batch new batteries ..happened to my 1 month old 2022 SX.. battery died and the frustration it gave us on a nice vacation, stranded on the hotel for hours we are staying and waiting for roadside assistance to come and jump it.

If they continued the flat bottom on the SX and SXL versions would be a little extra touch. I'm so on love with my 2015 SXL Turbo Optima. I came from 2016 Audi Q3 Prestige and my Optima has so much more to offer than my Audi.

I ordered a white EX with 20" rims and captains chairs and spent ton less than going with the SX. the full moon roof and a few other extras really aren't missed by me, and I had a Range Rover Sport and Jag XJL that both cost twice as much. Definitely don't miss paying close to 100 grand on each of the other two cars, which was plain stupid

Ah, the best family vehicle is the 2013 Ford Flex Limited.... does the the Kia have a refrigerator/freezer it and one touch rear seats that fold backwards so you can sit facing backwards with the lift gate open? Didn't think so. The Telluride suuure is pretty though!
The Flex was so ahead of its time that the dummy’s at ford could upgrade it’s design and have now killed it. As a shareholder this stock kills me every day I own it, management at ford are some of the dummest on the planet.
So many reviews about best this and that, yet no real track record. Look, Looks, ok, does look good. Lots of issues on the Kia forums, Electrical, Windshield, lots of warranty issues. In the end, even fixing for free, no time for that in this busy life.
Well, you'd have to decide what's most important to you. The CX-9 was more fun to drive than the Telluride, but the Kia would have lots more space. Both look great, in my opinion, but do you have 4 kids and need tons of room or are you looking for more of a smile on your face as you drive it? I bet you could also find a CX-9 Signature (the best trim), for at least 15k cheaper and a couple years old. That's worth a lot. What are you thinking?

Kia, telluride We just ordered a 2021 Kia Telluride today a at local dealership and we PAID STICKER. Every other dealership was ask 6-7k over and people were standing in line to buy them at those dealership. The dealership where we bought ours also add a lifetime warranty on the Telluride for NO CHARGE. The only bad thing is a four to six month wait when you order it. Corwin Kia, Springfield, MO check them out for yourself. Talk to Tater yes Tater and Tell them Mark and Dardi sent you. But if you don’t want to then don’t we are not getting any special deal if you do use our name. I told tater I was going to spread the word and I want him to know I did. You just pay Sticker.I want them to get your business because they say we are going to be fair to are customers. Where the next closes dealership with it higher sticker price had a rep from Kia who told us that all local dealers are asking above sticker and people are paying it but he did not mention Corwin Kia.

I find a lot of these new eight and nine speed transmission don’t perform and react as quickly as I like. I want to test drive one of these and I most likely will have it in sport mode all of the time! You just don’t find many turbo SUVs and it would definitely make it stand out above its competitors!

I've got a moss green 2020 sx with the prestige package. I dont mean to toot my own horn but....toot toot!! Used the tow package for the first time this weekend and did excellent as well. Only towed around 2200lbs but I dont see me needing more than that.
I really like it a lot ... but I'm holding out for the Hyundai Palisade when the supply/demand curve stabilizes. It just has better styling, fit and finish ... in my opinion.
This is my favorite SUV! But do people actually look at their gauge cluster when changing lanes? For someone with a neck injury, I get it; however, for everyone else, I don’t see the point. It seems to be more of a gimmick. I am a bit concerned that some of these technologies are helping to create lazy, inadequate drivers.
I have the Telluride and I can tell you that it is safer. Normally the b-pillar gets in the way, if the 2nd row sunshades are up, those interfere with visibility, and forget about seeing past the C-pillar (with any SUV). With the camera, it shows a clear view of your entire blind spot. It's also safer to glance down into the cluster because you can keep what's in front of you in your peripheral vision instead of turning your entire head.
Those cameras help alot more than you think. Like stated before, the B pillars and possibly the shades could be a problem. More importantly they help keep your eyes on the road in from of you more than taking them off to look at the blind spot by turning your head or shooting up to look into the side view mirrors. A simple eye movement to the cluster and back up to the road in front of you is a WHOLE lot easier, safer and faster than moving your head and body. 🤷♂️
CX-9 lacks in the drivetrain department tho and it's much slower I think. I may be wrong but I think Mazda still uses the 6 speed in the CX-9 and a turbo 4 instead of the V6.

Maurice P Garvey. I own a 2020. Yes, every trim has Apple Car Play and Android Auto: 8 inch screen on LXand S trims, 10 inch screen on EX and SX. App only remote start on 2020, but now in 2021 remote start is on the key fob. You can also set a preconfigured 74 degrees remotely from the app and turn on the air or heat and heated seats remotely.

Zenon Antruzinon so your argument about insurance is invalid and the warranty is only powertrain mine is bumper to bumper and it could easily be 100k for an extended. 50k for a telluride is a joke. Just step into a suburban for that price. And yes if you live in a state where insurance is stupid then that can’t change. But I have two 2018 vehicles that I only pay $150 for full coverage. So I’m pretty sure that’s cheap in my book Yes sales are way up and people are stupid to pay more than msrp on a vehicle.

Well it certainly isn’t the best price wise! Even the cheapo Telluride’s are getting marked up 5k over sticker! SX is 15k over. I think the Palisade has it beat tho, has some features the Telluride can’t get.

You should only consider 4-Runner if you’re into off-roaring. It’s truck based, completely different from the Telluride.

I don't believe you can get bench chair on middle row for the SX trim even if you are willing to pay more in the US.
Depends where you are, in Canada (or at least where I am), the SX actually comes with the bench seats standard and captains chairs for an option

CX-9 lacks in the drivetrain department tho and it's much slower I think. I may be wrong but I think Mazda still uses the 6 speed in the CX-9 and a turbo 4 instead of the V6.

I can't say I feel the same, I love my ST and have test drove a Telluride and just thought it looked and felt cheap -- that was when they first came out in 2019. Gutless too. But they do seem to be very popular, so clearly people like them. But, alas... it is no ST. To me anyway. Those Broncos are going to sell like hot cakes!

Maurice P Garvey. I own a 2020. Yes, every trim has Apple Car Play and Android Auto: 8 inch screen on LXand S trims, 10 inch screen on EX and SX. App only remote start on 2020, but now in 2021 remote start is on the key fob. You can also set a preconfigured 74 degrees remotely from the app and turn on the air or heat and heated seats remotely.
Sx is great, but I need that extra seat, so ex for me. 😅

Zenon Antruzinon so your argument about insurance is invalid and the warranty is only powertrain mine is bumper to bumper and it could easily be 100k for an extended. 50k for a telluride is a joke. Just step into a suburban for that price. And yes if you live in a state where insurance is stupid then that can’t change. But I have two 2018 vehicles that I only pay $150 for full coverage. So I’m pretty sure that’s cheap in my book Yes sales are way up and people are stupid to pay more than msrp on a vehicle.
Zenon Antruzinon so I stated what warranty my Atlas has. I stated what I pay for a 2018 Atlas and a 2018 Silverado. Which is the $150 in IL. The point of paying $10k more than what the VW is equipped with is the joke part.

Well it certainly isn’t the best price wise! Even the cheapo Telluride’s are getting marked up 5k over sticker! SX is 15k over. I think the Palisade has it beat tho, has some features the Telluride can’t get.
I’ve driven both and they are both great. I prefer the design inside and out of the Kia better myself.
