I was about the ask this but thanks you already shared the earnings. In another channel, someone showed like 22m views and earned $250 so if you earned $4k from shorts that's a good side hustle but of course can't be the main hustle.

Hey, this is my youtube shorts channel, my average retention in 20-30s videos is around 100%, in 40-60s it is beetwen 85-95%, yet my shorts are still not going viral : ( What would you change?

Love your content. It's helped guide me on my own channel, especially when it comes to RUclips shorts. I've been thinking of focusing back towards long form vids instead of mainly shorts. Been trying different things to get a good rhythm going.

hey! quick question about the avd and pushing out your content. i have recently started posting shorts and have a video that only has less than 100 views but has a 75% view rate and a avd of 40 seconds. could youtube push it in the future or is it as good as dead?

Hey man, In one of your video's I heard you say to choose a niche and try to stick to it in order to having a better chance of standing out.
But do you think with a youtube shorts channel it would be wise to focus on viral video topics only? Which means the content could fall in any niche as long as it went viral. E.g one day you could upload a podcast highlight and the other day some travel destinations
Because each shorts gets payed the same per view the only thing that count's money wise is the flat amount of views (not talking about avd to satisfy the algorithm).
Or would I still be better to stick to one thing?
Niche can mean topic and or style of content! But yeah I would stick to one while you grow

The only thing that keeps bugging me is, that even though my avd is always above 100% for my 30sec videos, they still only get pushed to around 10k views. I have postet around 70 video already and none made it above the 20k views mark, despite their huge avd.

@@DIGITALINCOMEPROJECT thank you for your fast response. If the video is about a controversial topic it usually winds up at 20 comments for every 10k views. My swipe-away rate is at 65% which i think should be pretty good too.

I might be a bit of an oddity - I have a shorts channel that has shifted to doing long-form content and does fairly well in both. I didn't expect the same conversion of views, and I think that's key.

@@DIGITALINCOMEPROJECTI did notice also in the analytics under Audience that my subscribers are as likely to watch shorts as they are longform. That might be the nature of my niche, though.

Nice video! My question for you is How do I get my shorts to get over 10k views? I post my content consistently (one post a day or so). Whenever I post, the short will get that initial spike going to about 1.8k and then a few days later it will go up to anywhere between 5k-10k views. Why does it stop? My avd is almost always over 100% so I would assume RUclips would see that and push my content?

Honestly I moved over to fps game clips because it was easy, however, I did nfl clips and ended up with a 94% retention rate on a clip that got 48 views so I’m thinking about going back. At the end of the day I just gotta experiment and I appreciate ya commenting back!

1)I ask how can I use videos from other channels without incurring copyright infringement from channel owner and youtube.
How can I do especially for video tutorials?
Do I need to edit the video?
2)Another important thing, if the channel owner authorizes me to post his videos in my channel, do I have to change the title, description and edit the video not to incur duplicate video?
3)If I create video shorts, where can I put an affiliate link? On comments or on related video in description?
