If I was asked a question about my bank balance - that would be the end. My wife hasn't even asked me that and when I asked her if she wanted to know more (outside of the budgeted money that I transfer to her for our bills/food, etc.. here) , she told me she didn't need to know. The bills were all taken care off and we're doing fine, so she doesn't care. Men get so desperate that they will tell someone they just met how much money is in the bank or spend, spend, spend like there's no tomorrow? These are the same men who go broke and she's gone the second that happens.
That is a shocking story. That's something a women over in the US would say. I just visited Caygano de Oro for a month. I didn't witness that type of greed. The young lady I settled with was quite grateful, though she is quite young. Any woman will push to see what they can get. I put her on a strict weekly allowance and let her know if she blows it she has to wait like anyone else working a job has to wait. Of course she blew it, but she has learned her lesson...somewhat. What I personally am learning is that the matrix of the West is stronger than I ever thought. Raised in the matrix and then living through its programming for decades is hard to break. The benevolence of men and our drive to be loved and accepted by women is a blessing and a curse.

When I met my future wife for the first time (after a six-year-pen-pal-friendship - those were the times before the computer-age) she refused to accept any money even for her superferry-ticket (there was only one daily flight from Manila to her place in Mindanao back then, and it was quite unreliable, because it was often cancelled due to weather-problems). She told me that this would be bad behavior and disrespectful towards me. She just didn't want to make the impression of a gold-digger. And once we were married she also refused to take any money from me, when she inherited the house of her parents and renovated it. She financed it solely from a lot of small business-transactions, because she didn't have a job in my country yet then.
That is good because its better to know now than later. This is not a mistake, its a blessing!
