HEY! I'm from hannibal. My ram blew up though so I'm in a semi for a company. I miss rv transport but I don't miss my dispatcher or Horizon staff members.

I thought you were both going to be hauling for Horizon.
I started back up with Drive away for Star Fleet after 3 months off. I have a Class A CDL this time. I started this year with some non CDL deliveries and was a littel dissapointed that the rates were cut. Last year I was delivering Class A gas units for $1.22 per mile and this year it's .98 cents per mile. I asked my dispatcher if I could do some CDL runs and have done two so far. Much better pay, making the time spent actually a little profitable. I felt I was only breaking even doing the non CDL gas unit deliveries.
Our load board is full at the moment. There are only a few CDL runs.
My priority is to get a CDL delivery, second is to get at least a Class B or C diesel unit delivery, which pay more than Class A gas units. I'll only settle for a Class a Gas unit if it's a hot load and it's at least a 1,000 mile run.
Favors for the Dispatcher do carry some weight in getting a good load so I'll move some hot loads to get to the good CDL runs.

Hey brother, sometimes rants are needed. We both know it’s healthier to get it out, than to keep it bottled up. Keep up what you’re doing, you are why I leased on with Horizon 20 months ago and haven’t looked back. Finally bumped up to a DRW, got my apportioned plates and have been killing it. You passed on and continue to pass on nothing but useful knowledge and experiences. You do it with humility and that says alot about you as a Marine, a man, and as a professional.
Keep it up Casey. Still hope to cross paths someday and sit and shoot the breeze.

Your videos are inspiring me to get into single pull or Multi Haul. I keep looking at trucks but right now, I don't see how numbers justify getting a truck. Single pull would have to be paying $2.00 dollars per mile consistently and multi haul would have to be paying $3.00 dollars per mile consistently for me to justify buying a tuck and a trailer.
Things are picking up, I saw a bunch of Indiana Transport Single haul and Drive away drivers as well as a couple multi haul driver driving west on I-80 on my way back to Kansas City.

@@fairwindsfollowingseas7909 you musta been very lucky, I put almost 200k miles between two trucks trying like hell. Also, I stayed running through horizon while they were telling everyone there was no loads for single pull. Most I sat was 3 days at a time and that was rare.

synergy's office knows what they are doing, yes. but they really fuck you by forcing you to take hot loads that aren't paying out well. they pretty much killed my business because I couldn't get the high paying loads I needed as a fledgling business owner. Not to mention that if you have any issues and you want to talk to them about it " calmly and collectively". They act like you are mistreating them and don want to talk to you. Might try again someday definitely not with synergy.

I just went through there orientation. I was not impressed with how it was set for tow away. Nothing about multi haul or how we run. Was a waste of time. Also somehow they couldnt keep paperwork in order or forcing me to insure my paid off trailer for no reason

That’s why I started my channel, too help inform people who didn’t get what they needed from orientation like me. On your first topic, I’m not positive but pretty sure you have to insure the trailer for commercial use regardless of it being paid off

@@caseyharris82 first time i had to insure my trailer. It only covers damage if in a wreck. All liability is covered by truck. Been in the business 12yrs now and first company to make me insure a trailer. I know loads are slow but i shouldnt have been told they are busy. I watch your channel regularly partly why i choose this company actually. Thinking tow away is better to be in for work load right now by how the boards look. I am in a w900 but have a pickup to that i think i need to fix to keep steady. Like the ability to do all line of hauling with them. Also plan to put a tow bar on my vw tdi do some driveaways which i have never done yet. I see the good for sure. Keep up the good videos. Also enjoy your videos and honest opinions.
