Sephiroth pre Nebelheim Incident is so good in this game. It really does make you wonder, if Sephiroth didn’t go insane, the kind of real Hero he could have been.
Yeah, if only someone told him he was Lucrecia's and Hojo's kid, instead of random Alien Monster from the Sky...
that will be in FF7 Redemption
@@darkswordsmansol perhaps leave out the Hojo bit... if I found out that dude was my dad.. I'd probably burn the whole world.
There is a clear difference between both Cloud and Sephiroth after the Nibelheim Incident. Sephiroth really seemed like a genuinely honorable man. The tone in his voice, the compassion for Zack and knowing he had someone he deeply cared for in Midgar. The new Voice Actor for Sephiroth really did a good job with at least changing the hatred and pure Evil in Remake’s Sephiroth to Reunion Sephiroth. It hit me differently emotionally like…(man it’s so sad to know that he goes from the genuine, good, kind hearted guy who just wants to find answers to help his friends suffering to being the man whom has suffered most and now has the unkillable WILL to make the entire world burn and suffer.)
Then with Cloud, idk I really like this version of him. Just some small town country boy, trying to become a Solider. Him and Zack’s dialogue reminds me a bit of like Quigon-Jin and Obi-Wan. Keep your head, don’t give up, watch me, listen to me. A true friend and Mentor. That relationship I think gave Cloud the inner ability to take Sephiroth out. But unfortunately in order for Cloud to get to that point, he has to lose everyone he loves and it just…ugh both Cloud and Sephiroth’s world’s burn and come to and end. Sephiroth learning he’s nothing more than just a Successful Test Experiment, his childhood, his memories of who he is and was were all just a lie. It really does SUCK so hard. Cloud seeing the secret Love of his life, seemingly lifeless in his arms, his best friend beaten, his Mom dead…like besides a few choice Stories and Actual Real Life events. You can’t get much more tragic than that.
If being told his mother was an Ancient was enough to trigger him then it was only a matter of time. He literally killed an entire village because Hojo lied to him. Anyone who can go from 0 to 100 that fast was always unstable. Sephiroth was a ticking time bomb. At least that's the only way this story makes any sense.
"No way, he just ate my hair"
11/10 writing, change my mind
Also, that delivery itself... was even more unintentionally funny than the original.
I really love how tragic the story of Sephiroth is in this game. Like we all know Sephiroth as this all powerful villain who refuses to die so it is really intresting to see that Sephiroth was once a really cool and honourable man that had friends and basically was Zacks new mentor figure at one point after Angeal died. Which makes it even more tragic when Sephiroth turns evil and betrays everyone who respected him.
That’s why I really hope in Rebirth or atleast in the final game, Sephiroth has a redemption arc....or atleast some closure to his character.... because he wasn’t born evil. An it wasn’t his fault the way he was created. Shinra and Jenova are the real enemies.
@@TheKira708 He wasn't born evil, but he made himself that way. Sephiroth is a classical villain in that sense. But there was no reason for him to butcher Nibelheim out of spite, or try to kill the planet and rule over the ashes. It is a good choice to show that Sephiroth, at one point, was a genuine hero with friends however.
cloud's VA is just sooooo good
I laugh everytime when max groans as genesis quotes loveless
Maybe it could’ve worked if they cast a better VA that could add a bit of gravitas to the horrible dialogue - but instead Genesis sounds like a total dweeb that failed out of drama class in high school but thinks he’s way cooler than he actually is. Horrible character. I pray he doesn’t appear in FF7 Rebirth and so on..
@@DFTNSHEXGRM Better VA? Funny how you said that infact they literally did recasted him with a more experienced VA, And mind you, His new VA has more voice role records than the original, For example he voiced Shiba Miyakaze from NEO: The World ends with you. That’s contrast to Oliver Quinn, Whose ironically just some random guy Square picked up off the streets, His voice acting history was none other than Crisis core and that was that, He disappeared afterwards.
Shaun nailed the character’s Narcisstic Ego better, Despite the fact the game’s dialogue is so overly mid 2000’s anime drama cliche.
I bet you wouldn’t bat an eye if Genesis’s Japanese VA gackt was Recasted because “Japanese iz alwez da grateest”.
@@DFTNSHEXGRM no va can save that dialogue when voicedirector tells them ro do it word-by-word. In that case, blame the voicedirector.
@@juliansanchezharris5773 No blame the scriptwriter. Who's brilliant idea was it to make an edgy fanfiction character spout pretentious trite bullshide for 90% of his dialogue the whole fcking game. No amount of talent in voice acting or directing can save Gackt.
His reactions to Genesis were equally as hilarious when he played through the OG game. lmao
Zack's voice definitely gets better post time skip
It's so good, he even starts channeling Rick Gomez in one scene.
I just realised that Zack's lines during battles are very similar to Aerith's in FFVII Remake
They did it on purpose didn't they? 🥺
@@MariusBoss11458 Indeed they do and there is so much lines in the games by NPC.. I have heard lal of them and for who knows ff7 yes very interesting like a job well paid but you have to...selected (indeed....experimentations ).
If Sephiroth killed Aerith when you fought him to the end of game , notice his line also...it will hurt litterally. "ah the memories".
Much scenes and lines are well written specially for old fans as me (as much as Max huhu)
That or the fact that Cloud hold his arm when he meet Sephiroth (rather one of his clone) not that Tifa realize that AFTER touching his arm.... not before she look very surprise.. And his arm he the future one that have the future Geostigmate in..Advent children yes sir... it hurt because Jenova cells.
Think about it: witch people or person Sephiroth had interest to mess with Cloud spirit for gain power ? Tifa.... the ONLY one knowing the future right now.Aerith , Sephi know that he will lose for obvious future reasons. Tifa is the only one of the crew who can affect as much as Aerith ...famous scene.
Same thing: Sephiro dodge clearly the future Omnislash from Clud..it's for that.
For the VR scen in SHinr ai have noticed that not either Tifa or Barret notice after Sephiroth..ONLY Cloud who see their murdering .... but all of them saw the Meteor scene...Same is true for Mayor who have noticed some a problem in the room...well...
@@MariusBoss11458 why would that be?
2:25:11 I know there’s a handful of people that don’t like the new VA for Sephiroth.
But I genuinely enjoy his portrayal. Especially in this scene, and the entire sequence where Sephiroth is talking to Jenova (3:28:31) I think he sounds super eerie, creepy, and menacing. Especially when he says, “Those inferior dullards”.
George Newbern is iconic but I feel like the vast majority of the problems with Sephiroth's voice in FF7R didn't come from the change in actor, they came from Sephiroth's dialogue being absolute garbage. He's literally just an Organization 13 member. He shows up every few hours, spouts some random, vague, meaningless bullshit about d̶a̶r̶k̶n̶e̶s̶s̶ destiny, and then promptly fucks off. He doesn't sound like Sephiroth.
@@SSL_2004 Well I think that was mostly due with the fact that he’s SUPPOSED to come off as vague and eluding. Don’t forget that if this truly is a sequel and Sephiroth knows more this time around. It would make sense that he would come off as calm, vague, and manipulative.
In the original he was never there either, so just like with this (Crisis Core) I think when we get to flashback sequence I think he’s going to absolutely kill it!
I think he did an astounding job at where I put the time stamps!
@@SSL_2004 Newbern is definitely iconic though!
I don’t think the “Good to see you…Cloud” will ever be topped. But there’s been quite a few lines from this game I think Hoechlin does way better than Newbern at…..and vice versa
@@SSL_2004 Also, did you see the article about Rebirth where Kitase said we’ll “See more when the time is right”? It just came out a couple of hours ago.
Something to look forward to.
@@fearlesscheshirecat1411 I think something for next E3 is a good bet, can't wait. Personally I'm one of the people more conflicted on FF7R. 80% of the game is one of the best experiences I've ever had with video games, addictive combat, phenomenal drama, and overall just pure entertainment. That other 20% is the stuff from a completely different story that they decided to overwrite parts of the original with, which regardless of intent or vision was reckless and cruel.
For that reason I'm extremely cautious moving forward with the story of the Remake series. At the very least I can sit comfortably knowing that in terms of gameplay I've got absolutely nothing to worry about. Intergrade cemented that even more and the prospect of the other characters, additional systems, and world to explore makes me incredibly excited, but I feel like the narrative can very easily devolve into a fanservice ridden fanfiction that completely undoes all the themes of the original.
On Advent Children: Cloud suffers from intense Survivor's Guilt which can come in bursts and periods. And I suppose with him suffering from Geostigma, it might be front and center. Could be a Jenova thing that makes it worse.
I think the Geostigma he saw as sort of punishment for letting Aerith and Zack die. What really drove him into depression was seeing Denzel get Geostigma, which probably sent Cloud down a rabbit hole of all his friends catching it.
Yeah, it's why I'm a bit forgiving with Advent Children. The movie has problems, but Cloud being the way he his in that movie makes sense as he was going through depression.
Yeah, he couldn't save Zack and Aerith, and when Geostigma hit, it was looking like humanity was gonna get wiped out by a plague anyway, so it led to him feeling like he had failed to protect people yet again.
Also, Cloud never really had a chance to process the grief and trauma of everything he had experienced. The events of FFVII helped him to rebuild his true personality and stop hiding behind a false identity, but that's not the same thing as actually coming to terms with his losses. The events of Advent Children forced him to finally do that.
@@samk522 don't forget him seeing Denzel. a kid who (i don't know if Cloud and Co know they are the reason his parents died) Cloud adopted catch Geostigma, which probably sent him down a rabbit hole of everyone he cares about catching it as well. and i agree i never liked the idea "oh but Cloud got his memory back and went through the lifestream so he is fine" nah he put on a strong face because there was a giant fucking meteor about to destroy Gaia. the man woke back up. had 1 night with Tifa before going to fight Sephiroth physically and mentally.
Doesn't Geostigma also act like a fantasy version of depression too? So all of Cloud's negative traits come right to the front.
3:54:33 That's really a great place for the music to end. It's so well-timed.
The guy cloud throws his sword at in Remake can’t be Kunsel. He was wearing a shinra security uniform. Kunsel is SOLDIER 2nd Class
The non-scripted timing of The World's Enemy ending right as the Buster Sword fell was incredible. Max with his impeccable timing again.
That wasn't scripted? Wow lol
Timestamp?
@@bingungnamanyaapa2662 3:54:30
Talking to the people by the church and on Lazard’s office implies that Lazard is the bastard son of Shinra and that he was just out for revenge
Did you know there is a DMW cutscene where Zack asks Aerith to wear pink next time they meet up 🥺
Max wasn't joking when he said the second half of the game was wild. Even tho I played it before experiencing it again was incredible
He is the guy that Notices Cloud near the beginning when Cloud prepares to jump on the train! He clearly recognizes Cloud where the others don't at all.
Unless Kunsel got a demotion from SOLDIER to grunt, then couldn't be. Cloud surely had a few grunt buddies that would have recognized him. Perhaps the one from near the beginning was the other grunt from Modeoheim for instance.
@@paulwright774 i am thinking the one on the bridge that says ''wait i know you'' is the same guy in shinra building who goes to get kunsel. By the way one fact is that kunsel is the only honest one.we can see zack gets email from another operative luxiere who is sweet talking him to catch him so he will get promoted. He was a fan of zack before nibel and after the gap heconverted to the black side.i am hoping we will meet kunsel somehow..more than shanon.
@@triaskar3708 Oh yeah, I can agree with the idea that the grunts that recognized Cloud on the bridge and the cafeteria are probably the same guy.
@@triaskar3708 he doesn't say I know you.
In Japanese he says "wait...that sword..." (sono ken...)
Only in the Shinra building, the guy actually recognizes Cloud.
@@laurajanco2i thats good to know!!
Cloud was a soft, cute and good boy, i love him. But why did they do this to my boy? Sephiroth killed his mom and burned his town :'(((. Poor Cloud, now i love him more. Zack is Cloud's hero, but Cloud is my/our/everybody hero. He saved the planet and kill Sephiroth 3 time, Zack proud of you
Totally agree with you. What that poor boy goes through is horrendous, but he keeps pushing forward in order to protect the people he loves. His best buddy (Zack) would indeed be proud of him and I'm sure that will be made clear in the next games!
Zack really feels like a big bro here
I really like that in Sephiroth’s fight he has elemental crystals, paralleling how the heroes of past FF games collected elemental crystals to save the world, further showing how much of a heroes journey Sephiroth has already been on up up to this point, making his downfall into the villain more tragic.
I only wish that in phase of the fight you had a leitmotif version of his theme playing instead of some generic boss theme, pretty much anytime he’s onscreen it would’ve been cooler to have a lighter of his theme playing
3:22:00 Maybe the reason why Cloud remembers Sephirot's monologuing before going apeshit is because HE WAS THERE to hear it while Zack was sleeping. Just putting that out there.
That was my impression as well. Cloud was actually there for the initial collapse and monologue, then Zack wakes up and sees the fire. The moment when Zack finds Cloud in Crisis and when Cloud enters the square in FF7 is where the two stories converge in Cloud's head.
Zack actually is down in the basement with Sephiroth and hears him talking about all that stuff. Then Sephiroth goes out and when Zack follows after and goes out of the mansion, everything is on fire, he sees Zangan and then looks at Cloud on the floor and shakes his head.
Cloud was outside all the time fainted on the floor after Sephiroth killed his mother
I think Sephiroth was made vulnerable by his mental state and Jenova pushed him past the edge, controlling him afterward. The way he acts is no different than how the "clones" or Cloud acted when he handed over the black materia.
After playing the rebirth demo, i believe that this reactor scene is what actually happened. Not what Cloud had interpid it in his story.
Also, they changed Cloud's line about Zack's sword. In the psp, he said "you know, i never seen you use that sword"
*whole village burning* AAAAAAND THE SEVENTH WONDER IIIIIIIIIIS..."
The game dialogue is kind of charming and funny when you get over the cheese. Zack feels brighter in this game which matches his character + age even though I know people still war over Rick Gomez's portrayal. He still has depth in the right moments. Both VAs work to me for different reasons. I think why people are so assmad about the new guy is because of his delivery in that crucial remake cutscene, which was the fault of bad direction and it threw people off, including myself. But now it seems like they can't move on from it and are nitpicking. Caleb really isn't doing a bad job with Zack.
He is much better in Rebirth tho
2:32:05 I was proud of myself when I remembered why that bridge is broken.
They never remade that bridge scene did they? People call it iconic but to me. I don't really remember it.
Barret!
Is that the part in the Rebirth demo where they all fall into the river
It’s crazy how a lot of the stuff I see in this game makes so much more sense now looking back at FF7 Remake.
Makes u wonder if the remakes were planned this whole time
3:15:29
Actually, for some of the FFVII crew, the first time they got voices was in Kingdom Hearts.
Interesting comparison. Perhaps those words Zack did not get to hear in CC, only means Sephiroth spoken that to Cloud instead... That was Cloud's memories.🤔☁️
Zack’s VA got a lot better by the endgame. I’m happy with it.
Love the entire game from start to finish, but from the nibelheim segment onwards, things REALLY ramp up for sure!
@@kingofdragons7 Check your eyesights, Zack literally got kidnapped by Shinra to be experimented as a Guinea Pig, And that’s when he starts to realize the true face of the corporation he works for.
The Nibleheim Incident is a crucial event that greatly affected Cloud, And one of the things that made him who he is in the classic FF7 game, Also the reason why he now hates Sephiroth.
You can tell Max really loves Loveless 🤣🤣
3:31:53 That Flashback in Zack's Head was SO perfect in that Situation.
"Things will escalate. Be prepared."
And now 2 Year's later at that Point, Zack fights for his Live aginst a Sephiroth that complety lost his Mind.
These have been some of my favorite play throughs of yours. I’m currently chapter 9 grinding missions for that genji armor set.
I think the mist in sephiroth and cloud’s stab wounds are hinting that the Whispers are involved in these events rather than it being a case of censorship. If it was censorship, they could have just left out the mist all together and it would make no difference. When Sonon was stabbed in INTERmission, he had blood shown and there wasn’t really any hint of censorship. The other time we’ve seen misty wounds/no blood is when Barret was stabbed in remake.
Dude. Dude. That's some thinking. I like it.
Nah, the Jenova helmet and Kitase interview have confirmed it is international censorship issued for the game to be as marketable as possible in every country
Crisis Core Reunion doesn't have Whispers... everything is still the same
@@andreanicastro9192 Where is this interview again? By that logic, the original Crisis Core was also censored because there's literally ZERO blood in any of the scenes.
Was thinking the exact same thing. Maybe it’s a form of retcon to validate their existence for them to use in the future titles (Ff7 remake in particular). Was really hoping max would try and extrapolate on them but I’m sure it’ll come up in later discussions
When Cloud gets Mako poisoning is when he actually starts becoming stronger. But Cloud being able to lift the buster sword before Mako is introduced is interesting.
Zack is the best buddy to Cloud even when Cloud has mako poisoning.
Cloud didnt fail soldier because he was bad at fighting, he excelled in using a sword, his issue was his lack in confidence
@@gozogo1233 and even with that, a few years as infantry could easily fix an insecure 15 year old's confidence issues. it would be interesting to see a timeline where Vincent wakes up and shoots Hojo just before he kidnaps Zack and Cloud.
@@gozogo1233 isn't buster sword heavy as hell? I thought only soldier can lift it but Cloud did it just with one hand - it's because of some kind of anger power like when he threw back Sephiroth or?
@@meow-kc5ho Cloud has the strength of a soldier, his issue was his emotions, which is why he wasn't accepted.
by the way i just realized..almost all the robots you have to snipe after nibel have blitzball player names from ffx. wedge, biggs, letty, jassu. :)
OH WOW watching this after the REBIRTH DEMO I'm surprised a lotta the dialogues is almost word for word the same! :) I guess that makes sense if both of them are depicting the OG game though? Did the OG FF7 have the same dialogue then? Like Sephiroth's whole "Am I the same as these monsters?" speech was verbatim!
From when I first entered nibelheim and onward - I was completely floored. Never played crises core and it was amazing to see it all from that point of view.
Assault twister is such a great move. It carried me through most of this game, just like hell firaga and hell thundaga. Quake is also a great materia to clear missions.
Actually, the underground mansion Sephiroth scene and the burning of Nibelheim is a shot for shot recreation of original Crisis Core. Yes, it is not the same, as the original FF7. So the mistake (?) lies with the OGCC
Cissnei tell her life story in 2 sentences
I think Lazard was President Shinra's illegitimate son
Yep, he was. And his eldest child, that we know of. So if things had been different Lazard would have gotten the same power and prestige Rufus had as Shinra’s son.
@@Harukurochan That would’ve been… interesting - seeing quite how different Lazard and Rufus’s personalities are
If cloud would've woke up earlier wth his enhanced powers, their escape would've been op. Trying to take down two "first class" soldiers.
They would have easily made it to Midgar
This game's name, Crisis Core, comes from the depiction of the Nibelheim incident. It is the core of the coming crisis. Put another way it is the nexus event around which the entire 7 franchise revolves. All the stuff with Angeal and Genesis... just an excuse to pad out the story of this game so that it's more than just Nibelheim. I feel like narratively, it would have been better to focus on the war with Wutai instead. I could have easily seen Zack and Sephiroth being sent to check out the Nibelheim reactor due to possible Wutaian sabotage.
Angeal would have been better served, remaining as Zack's early days mentor, and losing his life somewhere in the war. Genesis would have been better served being a depiction of a 1st Class who's a crazy, loveless reciting battle maniac, kind of like what they did with Roche but with Loveless instead of bikes. They could have still depicted the 1st class friendship triangle and the drama within it without focusing on it as a large part of the narrative. Genesis going rogue could still have been a thing, but it could have been handled over very different reasons, and resolved without trying to act like that's the main plot of the story. Project G has no relevance outside of this story... atleast currently, maybe that changes in Rebirth. The war with Wutai has much relevance outside of this story and would have been a much better backdrop for leading up to the Nibelheim incident.
Alas, missed opportunities.
The atmosphere in Shinra Mansion is perfect I think. I actually started getting creeped out
Yeah, feel like the music does a lot
I am loving playing this game. they have done an amazing job remaking it. I even love doing the missions now with the new battle system. I remember when I played this game on PSP, I bought an HDMI converter to play it on my tv. using the PSP as the controller.
Max still not knowing how to use the 10's digit in the shop is heart breaking
When you’re versing Genesis, The Solider Way, that’s a good Fukin’ rock song, as well as fighting Sephiroth, Controlling the Beast, when Zack goes flying down and the song hits’
My interpretation of 3:23:45 was that; That was Cloud's actual point of view not Zack's, cuz Zack wasn't around at this time, he was sleeping at the inn. But Cloud as a grunt goes down to his maybe routine check on Seph, and happens on him as he's about to raze the town and has this interaction with him. Of course while retelling the story after taking on Zack's legacy, he would of course tell this like he's the SOLDIER having this convo, cuz he has no idea where Zack actually is at this time, so instead of insert himself where Zack is, he inserts Zack where he is. Zack never saw this convo thus we get the kinda lame version of "Good morning Nibelhe- OMG ITS ON FIRE!" I really hope they touch on this subtly in Rebirth.
No, you see this scene play out between zack and sephiroth in the DMW.
@@DBZuncut20 I'll just shut the fuck up, then..lol I've never got that memory, thank you.
Zangan isn't in the game at all. Which makes it weirder when you consider there's no explanation as to what happened to Tifa before Hojo shows up to collect Zack and Cloud, when in reality, it's him that takes her to safety.
dude the "come come come" part had me rollin' haha
I've been frantically refreshing RUclips looking for this.
AND HOW!!!
This might be some of Max's best in Final Fantasy and I've watched a lot of his stuff
I love how Max insults the mother who left her child just to pursue the Angeal fan club.
Dude has been a father for just a year and already has more integrity than most parents.
Do you think most parents would leave their child to pursue a fan club?
Only after playing though crisis core did I fully realize how tragic Zack and Aerith's love story was. I hope the remake gives them a satisfactory closure and send-off. I am 99.9% sure both of them will still die and go to the promised land together by the end of the remake trilogy, but I'm hoping the eventual meeting between them again will have a big pay-off from the Zack being alive in some alternate timeline/reality thing.
Not sure if you saw, but check FFVII Advent Children Complete, they are together in the end, meaning now the original timeline of FFVII
If you think like that (and i say that also as a fan of FFVII'fan as much as Max is)
Witch is the ONLY person who will affect Cloud as much as Aerith.... ? Tifa. Thing is that Sephiroth (the LAST one you encounter the one who dodge your Omnislash and know the future): Sephiroth know that if Aerith is not there anymore..he will lose for sure.
And as a parasite for Jenova and Sephiroth cells...Sephiroth had all interest to messed up Cloud' spirit so what if something hapen to Tifa ? Aerith no interest it will be against Sephiroth future interest...but Tia ?N it's the ONLY character Cloud care REALLY about aside Aerith (and god know i love Aerith by herselves but Tifa is really nice too..)
Two sides...who will made Cloud in a bad state....
Fcat is the destiny is not true after the end of the first episode... so indeed some things could change.
Same thing about the spectacular scene in the VR Shinra (the one who present you the Cetras as called Ancients and..the Meteor after..This scene could be true or not...But it's BEFORE you defeated the desitny not AFTER).
Mayor notice there is a problem.... weird things because only Cloud notice it truely after not Tifa at 100/ or Barret.
You notice also that Cloud hold his arm when he meet Sephiroth before falling in the drum (chapter 17)...It's the arm where he will have the Geostigmate in Advent childrene in fact his future illness . Brillant and clever writing and references. Well acted so well.
They are survive this time
Only that there is no 'love story'. Cloud and Aerith are the canon couple. The Novel 'The maiden who travels the planet' Literally has Zack and Aerith meet in the lifestream and her saying 'She loves Cloud more than her first love'
@@claudia-7917 Everybody, let's point and laugh at the delusional Cleriths that still exist.
3:16:00 Well, we have to remember two points here: 1. The events that actually happen in CC are going to be different than what is shown in FFVII because of how Cloud is “remembering them”. During the town fire he was unconscious, so he didn’t actually know whether Zangan was there or not so he just told his version to the gang with Zangan being present. 2. We also gotta take into account this “Reunion” game is following the “Remake” formula of destiny being changed for everyone. So it’s possible things are changing because of those Whisper Harbingers.
you can't just aska dude to 'share your cells with me'
Right? No wonder Sephiroth told him to go rot lmao
These VA’s are awesome, Sephiroth’s VA does a brilliant job showing his human side.
I enjoy the current VA for Zack too.
55:50 Odin is actually pretty powerfull. Only enemy he didn't kill for me was Minerva. I summoned him, but nothing happened.
The difference between this and CC reunion are night and day. The background in this is way better, individual shadows, realistic lighting as Sephiroth and Zack move throughout the shinra meeting room, but somehow the character model for Sephiroth is usually better in the OG. Its like they struggle animating his reality breaking hair just like they admitted in advent children. BUT they somehow do it better in the Nibelheim scene that alone Sephiroth's facial expressions and design seem way better
I have never seen 2nd phase of sephiroth’s boss ending if you lose. You got me over here dying😂
Oh I have.
(Multiple times... 😨)
Haha.. yes.. i finish multiple side missions, when i fight sephiroth's . Im too op it was so easy.. i basically use the punch materia for 9999 dmg n aerial drain for hp
This basicly is impossible if you're below a certain power level for sure.
I played normal mode and I was above average when I fought him both times, so I was good; but like you never seen that before.. actually cool.. *he walks away*

Watching Sephiroth and this interaction he has with the body of Jenova is so interesting to see in comparison to his insanity during remake! In remake his insanity is sort of set in but here when you see him looking at Jenova's cell you can see this sort of sad, rapturous breaking on his face. Oh how I love it so much and oh how it makes me incredibly sad
actually when i was thinking about Cloud's ability to get the drop on Sephy here. If you look back to his old loadout from the flashback. Cloud only has a "Preemptive Strike" materia on. So this actually makes sense LOL
Max Cloud is mopey for the reason that He has the stigma....You and I remember Advent Children a lot different. I think you missed the explainer part. Where Cloud is afraid of being a burden to Tifa and the others....The moment his stigma goes away he becomes Cloud near the end of FF7 again and then when Zack tells him "You are my living legacy" Cloud becomes the Badass that decked Sephiroth again....The Version of Cloud that Sephiroth fears....The one that Sephiroth wants to stop by changing the past in some way in "Remake"
The thing is, we have no idea what Sephiroth actually wants. We know he wants to keep Cloud alive judging by his "I will not end... Nor will I have you end..." line at the end of Remake. But what is his actual endgoal? No one has any idea at this point yet.
Obviously one of his goals in Part 1 of Remake was to eliminate fate alltogether, and he succeeded in achiving that.
Young Cloud is such a precious boy
Is it just me but Sephiroth sorta does react to seeing Jenova's name in own way initially? This might be something I may have simply missed but notice how he doesn't "We SOLDIER members". He instead says "You SOLDIER members". Could it be Jenova's influence making him disassociate from other members of SOLIDER? Heck, there's a DMV scene later where he instead say "Your kind" Possibly no longer believing himself that he's human at that point.
It's the first and the only game for me that made me couldn't hold my tears 😭, it happen to me 12 years ago, such a great character that betrayed almost by everyone and die with tragic end.
A game redid the right way. What I expect games to be like from now on.
3:24:00 There is no inconsistency, Clouds memories are still his memories as the mercenary and he witnessed Sephiroth and Zangan. Zack came later. It makes a bit more sense when you watch the Last Order: Final Fantasy VII.
ive just beat the end, having never played an FF7, the game actually made me cry.
have you played remake? or any FF?
yeah the end is realy sad.
they are all good
cissnei meets you for the first time and just starts throwing hands "ENEMY"!!
I keep seeing people complain how they censored cloud getting stabbed by having black smoke instead of blood which makes no sense to me as there was no blood in the original PSP version.
they might have added the smoke in Reunion because in the original to achieve the stab they just made the sword clip into the models and it looked REALLY bad.
One video I saw put it that because of the PSP graphics, there was less a sense of "realism" in what was happening. Like, the models looks more "cartoon-like" in the original compared to the more detailed models of Reunion. Of couse, that same person also wondered if it was Time Jannie shit and honestly, I'd rather stick with that headcanon than assume they did some stupid censorship.
Megaflared lone shinra solider, town completely intact......🤣🤣🤣
And immediately upon seeing his buddy getting nuked by Bahamut the lone troop dragging Cloud looks at Zack and thinks "Yeah, I can take him..."
Slow down, Max! I’m still finishing Part 3 of your video AND last night’s stream 😭😭😭
Just kidding! keep ‘em coming, Dood!
That's good to know, take time off for your family, hopefully a month, take care, you will be missed though, we will survive
Even with the stilted old-skool dialogos the entire "Shrinra MARK 34 DEATH WAGON (carrying flowers for the funeral) " sequence is still amusing.
I'm so mad I missed that whole cissnie side thing aghhhhh
thank you i was looking forward to this!
Activating Nut Mode
Bruno sounds like Tails from Sonic Adventure and now I can't unhear it...
I frickin love this game, all the tweaks have really made a difference
My Christmas present has arrived!!!
I been waiting so patiently for part 4
I was at chapter 7 when when part 3 dropped now I'm right before the final boss since Christmas day I been grinding missions since. I want to Plat this Game.
Man, every time I pick it up I tell myself I’m gonna do story missions and just I end up doing missions for 3 hours lol
Hearing Rick’s voice in that bugged line hurt my soul.
Bro I JUST finished watching part 3
Did anyone else notice they changed Aeriths Ribbon in this to match later versions in the OG her bow had two more flaps at the bottom
Finished crisis core for the first time last week and I gotta say max was right. Everyone in this game sucks LOL but Zack is awesome(cloud is sick as always too). Genesis is the highlight of the game for me in terms of how bad a character can be written. They really decided to make a guy so obsessed with a book that he bases his life on it. Every time he shows up he just starts quoting random verses no one gives a shit about and then fucks off without explaining anything
I wish the game was just more focused on Zack and clouds friendship than all the unnessisary angeal genesis nonsense
Zack is literally the only good important non returning character in CC lmao
I heard people say; when Sephiroth turns bad in crisis core; Genesis shouldn’t be there explaining to him about he’s past, only Sephiroth and Zack should be there; then he goes back and hides, cause Genesis wasn’t there in the OG FF7
Cloud did not saw Genesis and probably nobady told him that genesis was there so when Cloud spoke about the reactor he spoke about the things he saw or knows from zack
THANK GOD, YES THANK YOU for saying this. CC was the start of this bullshit writing on Square enix, sure KH 2 had some of that crap too but not at this level.
@@cloudpreve9850 Dude the reactor was attacked by Genesis copies.......
Let’s goooooooo 🔥🔥
Genesis: He Do Not Protecc, He Attacc, He Never Freaking Dies.
Cissney has Keqing's voice actress.
I love that it's canon max was bricked up during this whole playthrough
I WAS JUST LOOKING FOR THE BATHROOM😂😂
Max hating Genesis is so entertaining. I would love to see a prequel with Sephiroth, Genesis and Angeal in which Genesis is a permanent party member from beginning to end. Can you imagine him quoting LOVELESS every 5 seconds during battles? Max's rage will be palpable.
Shut up
Cornflakes Dissolved!
2:10:27 (Me only knowing Remake and the Rebirth demos) *Leonardo Decarprio meme* OMFG IT'S THE SAME DIALOGUE AS THE REBIRTH DEMO BUT WITH ZACK WTFFFFF IS GOING ON??!?!?!? I am shooketh.
I might be remembering the anime (Last Order), but I'm pretty sure on the PSP you see Tifa in town as well
Lmao seeing his vit at 46 before the Seph fight was amusing.
Well Zack's new VA is kinda rough to hear at first but you get used to it once you play through the game. There are just some janky wonky moments of dialouge where the direction could've been better but then again it's not at all entirely the VA's fault
His voice is fine its playful and cocky, He's not supposed to sound like Kratos or Barry white etc
@@zacatkinson3926 you are saying that as if the old zack va voice was deep. The new va is alright but the old va just hits a perfect balane.
