This ‘buy-back’ offer wasn’t just counter-intuitive; it was disrespectful. I don’t know how these “entrepreneurs” generated 1.8 million in turnover whilst having such a delusional mentality - a dragon comes in and elevates the business to heights unimaginable and once they have, they’re reduced to 5%? Deborah followed her intuition and I admire her integrity.
They have a chance of partnering with a dragon that could make their business explode but they are frightened of sharing equity. 75% of something massive is worth so much more than 95% of nothing.
ok, so I remember watching this pitch and thinking hmmm this should be so good. Ive just come back from Camp wildfire week1 . It was a life changing experience. the activities and camp games were fantastic. it all all worked so well. The teams, the activities, the merchandise, the attitude it was amazing. The dragons need to see how this thing works
Same!! Honestly I am in a lucky position where I travel a lot and have a really fulfilled life and camp wildfire still goes in there as one of the best weekends of my life. Utterly transformative
I worked in one of the festivals Lee organized. It was flawless, and everyone was super happy. And all doing it for the fun and charity just with the friends for 10 years. That proves he is a great person to work with.
@@aljabirxiju9475 what lmao??? 🤣 It's literally an event that I went to and if you look on Instagram you can see hundreds of others did too.... Where's the scam?
Interesting outcome!! Pleased to be able to strongly back Camp Wildfire though - I’ve been twice now and have LOVED IT. Incredible people (the nicest crowd ever), unbelievably well-organised, soooo much fun and the night-time was a proper, proper party this year too! I got to meet Lee briefly too - really nice guy! He commended me as I jumped up to fill in for a beatboxer instructor that didn’t show up 😁 If you’ve not been to Camp Wildfire before, DO IT!! And support the brilliant cause, that is a truly amazing environment these two have fostered over the years 🙌🙌🙌
There are a thousand camps like this. Each is interesting and fun. You have to build a brand, and I think it's a shame they tried to go so low. 75,000 is a lot of money. Good for Deborah to stand up for the incredible amount of skill, money, and expertise that she can offer them.
The value Debra brings is worth taking her offer... standing there with hands in pockets too looked so amateurish like the way they conducted that offer... 2 idiots stuffed that up
WTF.....is Lee from The LeeFest?. If so, just to congratulate you! Still remember I volunteered as a photographer one year. Great experience, superb organization!
Yeah but deborah also got to protect her money and as an invester she could just lose it all and what they are offering at the moment it hit or miss to be honest, its not like its proven to bring in money.
I've just been looking on their website before searching this video and you're right, they have sold out. They are absolutely smashing without the Debra taking a quarter of their business! Turned out to be the best outcome, she didn them a favour by withdrawing her offer! Well done to these 2 guys!!
Really? Steven has the highest rate of offers per episode than any dragon that has ever appeared in the Den (Farleigh is second, followed by Tej and Theo).
Not just Deborah, I too almost fell of my chair. The shock on other dragon's face 😮

Plus surely they have seen episodes of dragons den showing that the dragons get angry and insulted by such ridiculous counter offers? Just dumb

Just joking.
Yeah, go for it.
May look into myself
✌️😁
Silly buggers, they really ballsed that up!
Not really - camp wildfire is very popular and is a sell out every year
Hm. Not sure why they put "as seen on dragon's den" so proudly on their website.
Any publicity is good publicity that's what they say right
They got too greedy lol
Silly as fck. They will never make What They would with a dragon
Just came back from Wildfire - it's incredible, and it's a sell out event every year. These guys are laughing now, the dragons missed out.

Dense seems to come into play here.
That's Nick Jenkins in a scout uniform!
I already have my Elementary ticket for this years Camp Wild Fire.
Wildfire, flaming in zealous love, paling into mistrust, burning enviously❤
I never got an enamel mug on my entry 😢
I love the idea. Such a shame they slipped up. I really hope they have success.
They sell out their festival every year it seems! Just got back from the 2023 one and have a blast myself
He would of done it but his Mrs don't want to qnd he just went along with her
Touker did not offer his office space for the camps. Missed opportunity.
Isn't this just Butlins or Pontins?
Complete insult to try and get her down to 5% after her investment is payed back! Shocking!!
Oh well, at least they still own 100% of fuck all
WTF.....is Lee from The LeeFest?. If so, just to congratulate you! Still remember I volunteered as a photographer one year. Great experience, superb organization!
Deborah, can you help us to reach our target then after can you leave? thank you..
Having just returned from CampWildfire I'd say theyr doing pretty well without a Dragon
At 7:29 she tried to blag it but he didn’t catch onto it.
Greedy guts inflating their valuation was what killed them.
Honestly, if you have DM make you an offer when your business is already running at a loss, you’d bite her hand off, right?
Peter is Duncan how times change
Damn, I wanted them to get investment, thought it was a good idea. Poor counter offer. Really poor.
They blew it.
LMFAO
Peter wasn't listening
Too darn greedy. You'll regret it.
Wow. What a stuff up. Negotiation? Geez…
Oh no ... sigh 😮 So short-sighted ☹
Pretty harsh from Deborah, they were just trying to protect their business she would do the same
Nah that wasn’t harsh, there’s protecting their business and then there being greedy. Having a dragon like her would protect their business enough
Yeah but deborah also got to protect her money and as an invester she could just lose it all and what they are offering at the moment it hit or miss to be honest, its not like its proven to bring in money.

I liked the product but the entrepreneurs were a bit too camp for me
Disgraceful counter offer.
Being a curmudgeon, I have an irrational (and fairly mild) dislike of people like Julia who begin their sentences with 'so'.
What's this standing with hands in pockets at 2:35? That's what happens when you've got girl boy scouts.

"She wants 5 times more than the 5% of equity that they're willing to give away" So 30%?
Benjamin Goose, I don't think many people will get it
Five times more means 5*5=25
Their marketing is garbage. Why would you associate a festival for young party goers with the visuals of scouts uniforms?
